Jack smiled sarcastically. He deliberately stepped hard on Paul's big toe. “Relax, Mr. Hogweed. I like a bargain.”

Paul grimaced. Even though Jack's weight was far below his, it was still painful for Paul to have his big toe on a pedestal. But he couldn't get angry. Paul instead held Jack's foot, “Tell me sir, I'll do anything, as long as you keep my sins a secret from Grace.”

Jack removed his foot from Paul's big toe. “That's easy. Do three things for me.”

Paul paused for a moment to think. If it wasn't because of his wife, he wouldn't have done those three things for Jack, let alone kneel before him like he did now. Even so, he couldn't bargain.

“Yes, sir, with pleasure,” he replied while holding back his irritation.

“First, apologize to her.” Jack pointed at the woman named Laura Kills.

Paul turned to Laura and gave her a sharp look. In his heart, he strongly opposed Jack's request. His pride was being torn apart!  But his tongue tried to negotiate nicely, “Sir, I'll do anything, but not by apologizing to this bitch.”

"I will forfeit the full amount I paid, and that is more than enough. No need to apologize. She’s lucky to have met you; otherwise, she would have gone home with a lot of bruises." Paul was still intimidating Laura.

"Up to you. Just know, Sir, every choice comes with consequences." Jack responded to Paul with an even more intimidating look.

Paul swallowed hard. The looming shadow of his wife’s anger left him with no choice. Reluctantly, he answered, "Alright, Sir. I’ll do it." Paul conceded, grinding his teeth. He briefly punched the ground before standing up.

"Who gave you permission to stand?" Jack snapped.

Paul gasped. For a moment, the expression on his face reflected that he was cursing inwardly. Of course, Paul, who was used to being served, didn’t accept being treated like this. But could he fight back? Not at all.

Laura covered her mouth with both hands when she saw Paul kneel again and move toward her.

Laura instinctively recoiled!

"How dare you! Why—"

Before Paul could finish expressing his anger, Jack asked sharply, "Is that how you apologize, Mr. Lacton?"

Paul’s eyes widened when he heard Jack pronounce the surname that felt like a curse to him. He quickly corrected himself in front of Laura. "Miss Kills." Paul paused to suppress the nausea.

Meanwhile, Laura smiled with pleasure upon hearing that address. After repeatedly dealing with the crazy man named Paul, it was the first time her name was spoken with respect, and it turned out her name suited the occasion.

"Yes," Laura replied.

Paul looked up to give Laura a sharp look. As if to report him, Laura responded by looking at Jack. And in return, Jack kicked Paul in the back.

Paul forced a smile with a more prominent jawbone, “Miss, I'm sorry, please forgive me.”

“Yes, Mr. Hogweed, I forgive you.”

“Don't!” Jack said. He approached Laura. “Miss, this man has hurt you. You must not forgive him easily. At the very least, give him a hard slap on the cheek, a punch in the stomach, or even a kick in the penis. Don't be afraid. Mr. Hogweed will not retaliate, I assure you. Right, sir?”

'Damn it!' Paul said silently. He knew Jack wasn't asking a question, but was stating his demand.

“This is my second demand, sir,” Jack said, confirming Paul's prejudice.

Laura still hesitated. “But-”

“What are you waiting for, Miss? Don't think about it, just do it.”

SLAP!

Laura slapped without giving a signal. She slowly smiled, like she had gotten a precious gift.

“Well done!” Jack praised as he clapped his hands. He encouraged, “Harder, Miss!”

Laura nodded.

“Ouch!” shouted Paul as Laura grabbed his hair. He became even more annoyed when Laura laughed after seeing him in pain.

“Keep going, Miss! Make sure you do it with all your might this time.” Jack continued to provoke.

Laura obeyed like an athlete listening to her coach. She remembered the terrible things Paul had done to her. She clenched her fists, lowered her gaze, staring with focus at a single point, right in the center.

Paul shook his head, realizing that this time Laura was targeting his vital area. However, before his mouth could say anything to prevent it, the fateful event happened very quickly. A roar of pain from Paul followed. He limped around clutching his penis, before collapsing to the ground.

“He won't be angry with me, right?” Laura ensured her safety.

“He won't. He's a patient man. Also, as far as I know, Mr. Hogweed is a gentleman. He will definitely fulfill his promise.”

Paul didn't comment even though he was inwardly yelling at Jack and cursing Laura. All he did was clutch his penis while hoping there was no problem with it.

“Alright, two requests have been fulfilled. Now, my final request is to never see this young lady again, ever. I have sent you this recording, but I will also keep it. Once I see you go to this lady, you're finished.” Jack threatened without caring about the pain Paul was still suffering.

Without waiting for Paul to agree to his third request, Jack took Laura by the hand, leading her closer to his scooter.

Jack opened his suitcase. He said, “Put this on, Miss. Although it looks shabby, it's still quite warm.”

Laura accepted and put on Jack's black jacket. Although it was oversized, she felt comfortable in it. Then, she sat on the back seat of the scooter, riding on Jack's back.

“How about Mr. Hogweed?” Laura turned to Paul who was lying on the ground, clasping his legs together while his hand still held his penis.

“Let him enjoy a parting kick from you.”

Laura chuckled softly. "Alright, then."

"Where is your house, Miss?" Jack asked after the engine started.

"Paradise Roadway."

Jack furrowed his brow. "Where is that?"

Laura's face showed surprise. Who was this man who had helped her, yet didn't know Paradise Roadway? After a brief pause, Laura replied, "Sir, just go straight, then turn left at the intersection ahead. Keep following the road. I'll show you later."

"Alright."

The scooter moved forward, with no conversation between them. However, Laura lifted her hand while looking at Jack's waist. The evening wind made the man's white shirt billow. Hesitantly, she wrapped her hand around Jack's waist.

Jack smiled, without commenting or even looking down for a moment to see Laura's hand on him. He was simply focused on driving.

There was no conversation between them until they arrived at Paradise Roadway. However, Jack immediately furrowed his brows. "This..."

"I live here, Sir. Thank you for helping me."

Jack remained silent as he observed the surroundings of Laura's home. Many women with heavy makeup and minimal clothing were entering and exiting the building with men of various ages, though most of them were middle-aged.

Paradise Roadway was the name of a second-rate brothel on Bogettin Street. However, because this establishment was more famous, people had started forgetting the street's original name. It hosted various nightlife activities, including a disco, casino, and black market.

"I'm sorry, Sir, I can't invite you in for just some tea. People here prefer alcoholic drinks."

Jack felt awkward about this situation. This was his first time in a brothel, before it Jack's life was all about work and work, his only focus was Elena's happiness.

"Sorry. I thought you lived in a house with your family."

Laura smiled, her eyes welling up. "If this were in my village, my mother would be very grateful to you, even insisting that you stay for dinner."

"That must be nice." Jack nodded. "Alright, Miss, go inside and rest."

Laura sighed. "It's still working hours. But, I'll persuade my boss not to let the customers take me out. Sometimes they act violently, beyond reason."

"Well then, I’ll rent you."

In his heart, he was determined to make that hope come true.Emma smiled. “I’m optimistic everything will get better. Working at Redwave Group is the dream of so many people.”“That’s good.”“Do you know why I feel so confident?”“Tell me.”“Because of you. I don’t know why, but ever since I met you, I’ve felt much more… safe.”Jack chuckled softly. “Alright then, I guess I’m a security guard now.”Emma shook her head. “Not like that. You know, maybe you don’t realize it, but you always help me out of trouble.”“Oh, so now I’m a locksmith.”“Jack, you keep joking.”“Well… it seems I have talent as a comedian.”They laughed together. Slowly, the atmosphere grew quiet as their laughter faded.“I’m sorry for rudely turnin

Emma excitedly shared the good news with her grandmother. She beamed as she showed off the paper bag she had received from Redwave Group.Jack watched Emma’s radiant face as she took the contents out of the bag.“Grandma, it still feels too hard to believe. I—I’ve never experienced an interview this easy and fast before. I was accepted right away! And look, they even gave me these clothes.”“Redwave Group is a giant corporation, after all. Before going to the interview, I searched for a lot of information about their recruitment process online.”“From the reviews and comments I read, ninety-five percent of people said how incredibly difficult it is to pass the employee selection at Redwave Group. Many of them had to try several times before getting in. And quite a few failed repeatedly and eventually looked for work elsewhere.”“Oh my God, this is amazing. Look! These uniforms are so nice and high-quality. I feel like jumping up and down because I’m so happy!” Emma exclaimed as she he

Emma’s jaw dropped before a wide smile spread across her face. She clapped her hands and even hopped in place, like a child who had just been allowed to play in the rain.It might sound improper, but she was genuinely happy to see Jack acting a little… 'evil'.“No! I won’t do it!” Elena shouted fiercely. She stood up on her own, ignoring Victor’s outstretched hand that was about to help her.“It’s fine,” Jack said indifferently. He took Emma’s hand. “Let’s go home. Grandma is already waiting for us.”“But—”Emma felt a bit disappointed that Jack didn’t force Victor and Elena to comply with his condition. Not because she wanted them to clean her shoes, but because she wanted to show the two of them that Jack now had 'authority' that they couldn’t act however they pleased anymore.“Our business here is done. Let’s just leave,” Jack said with a smile.Emma couldn’t refuse him. She nodded weakly and replied in a low, unenthusiastic voice, “Alright.”To be honest, the situation put Victor

Although she felt puzzled, remembering that earlier the receptionists had been wearing different outfits, Emma still invited Jack to head to the main lobby with her. When they arrived in front of one of the reception desks, Emma turned her head as a receptionist from another counter called out to her.“Miss Wexler!”The woman waved with a smile, carrying a floral-patterned paper bag.Emma smiled and tugged on Jack’s hand before approaching her.“Is that my uniform?”“Yes! This is all yours.”The senior receptionist glanced briefly at Jack before giving a small nod.Emma turned to Jack, then accepted the paper bag with a radiant smile.Just as she was in such a cheerful mood, Emma was shocked by

“Madam, I can’t do that,” Victor refused immediately.Elena followed at once. “Me neither. T-that doesn’t make any sense.”To both of them, kneeling before Jack was the lowest form of humiliation. In their eyes, Jack was nothing more than someone beneath them, someone not even worthy of sitting on equal ground with them. So why should they lower themselves before a man whose status was far below theirs? But Daisy didn’t bother arguing. She said firmly, “That’s up to you. What you need to understand is that this is not an offer, it’s an order. So tell me, what’s weighing so heavily on your heads now that you don’t even dare to look at me?”Still keeping his head lowered, Victor said, “I am truly sorry, Madam.
