Chapter 1
“Master Nathan, please, just take the card. You’re the chairman of Dynasty Group. If you don’t believe me, take this card to Narvo Bank. Enter your birthday and check the balance. Everything will be revealed.”
Liera’s voice was calm but firm, her green eyes glistening with reverence. Without waiting for a response, she placed the sleek gold card on the table in front of him and bowed deeply—almost folding herself in half—before turning and walking out of the café.
After countless attempts to convince him, she had given up on words. Now, she would let the truth speak for itself.
Her heels clicked sharply against the floor. Outside, a black Rolls-Royce waited, its engine purring softly as she slid into the back seat.
A convoy of luxury cars followed her departure, leaving Nathan alone with the card and his thoughts.
Nathan stared at the card, his expression unreadable.
He didn’t pick it up immediately, instead letting out a low, humorless laugh. “Chairman of Dynasty Group? Me? What a joke.”
He had heard her out several times before, listened to her elaborate explanations about his supposed past, his wealth, his power. But it was all too absurd to believe.
He was just a waiter, a man who had built a quiet life out of the ashes of his forgotten memories. The idea that he was some billionaire tycoon was laughable.
Still, something about the way she had looked at him—the way she had bowed—stirred a flicker of unease in his chest.
He picked up the card, turning it over in his hands. It felt heavy, not in weight but in implication.
“Fine,” he muttered, slipping the card into his pocket. “I’ll play along. But this changes nothing.”
Now he needed to focus. Today is his anniversary with his wife Natalia.
For this great day, he had meticulously planned to leave work early and make dinner for his wife to celebrate it.
As he wiped down another table, a familiar, elegant figure entered the café.
Natalia’s long chestnut hair cascaded over her shoulders, framing her perfectly symmetrical face.
Her turquoise eyes sparkled as they always did, a feature that had captivated Nathan from the moment they met.
She carried herself with the effortless grace as the CEO of Sparkling Enterprises, her tailored black dress hugging her hourglass figure.
But Nathan’s smile faltered when he noticed the man walking beside her.
The man’s perfectly pressed navy suit screamed affluence, and the arrogant tilt of his chin made his disdain for the café obvious.
As they approached, Nathan instinctively tightened his grip on the cleaning rag.
“Natalia?” he asked, his voice laced with surprise. “What are you doing here?”
She didn’t return his smile. Instead, she took a deep breath, her turquoise eyes hardening slightly. “Nathan, we need to talk.”
His stomach twisted. “Is everything okay?”
“No,” she said bluntly. “I want a divorce.”
The words hit him like a punch to the gut. His hand froze mid-movement, and his eyes widened in disbelief.
“A divorce? Natalia, what are you talking about? Why?”
“We’re no longer suited for each other, Nathan. Our statuses don’t match. I’ve grown, and…you haven’t.” She said coldly, avoiding his gaze.
Nathan stared at her, stunned. “Statuses? Natalia, we’ve been married for three years. How can you say we’re not suited?”
James smirked, stepping forward. “Oh, come on, trash. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be. Natalia’s just being generous here.”
“Generous?” Nathan asked bitterly.
Natalia pulled out a cheque book, her movements calm yet deliberate. “I’ve already prepared some compensation. Ten million. It’s more than enough to set you up for life.”
Nathan laughed bitterly, shaking his head. “Ten million? That’s what three years of marriage is worth to you?”
She hesitated, then added, “Not enough?I’ll triple it—thirty million. That should be sufficient.”
“Sufficient?” Nathan’s voice cracked. “That’s what my years of support, sacrifice, and love amount to for you? ”
James chuckled, his tone dripping with mockery. “Just face it! You’re a cleaner in a dingy café. Even her driver earns ten times what you do. Be grateful she’s offering you anything at all.”
Nathan’s jaw tightened, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. “And you,” he said, glaring at James, “who exactly are you in all this?”
James smirked. “James Baron, heir to the Rhyners. Maybe you’ve heard of us? Natalia needs someone who matches her status—not someone who wipes tables for a living.”
Nathan’s eyes narrowed, recognizing the name. James was from one of the city’s wealthiest families. His presence suddenly made sense. He was probably the new man Natalia considered suitable for her.
James tossed a set of papers onto the table with a flourish. “Here’s the divorce agreement. Sign it and move on.”
Natalia hesitated, pulling out her pen and cheque book. “If thirty million isn’t enough, name your price, Nathan.”
Nathan looked at her, his heart heavy with disappointment. “You still don’t get it, do you? I don’t want your money, Natalia.”
“Then what do you want?” she asked softly.
“I wanted us,” he said, his voice cold. “But clearly, that’s not what you want anymore.”
He took the pen and signed the papers without another word, his hands trembling slightly.
When he was done, he placed them back on the desk and looked at her one last time. “I hope your new life is everything you want it to be,” he said, his voice laced with quiet finality.
Natalia took them. For a brief moment, she seemed conflicted, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside and left with James quietly.
Nathan stood there, clenched his fists and let out a bitter laugh.
Was money really that important?
Shaking his head slightly, he reached into his pocket, his fingers brushed against the black card Liera had given him. Her words echoed in his mind.
Is he really the trillionaire like she said?
Maybe it was time to find out the truth.

A sudden, awkward silence fell. Nathan glanced over. The doctor was blinking, not sure he’d heard correctly. Natalia was staring at him, her eyes wide.Nathan cleared his throat. “Um… thank you, Doctor,” he said, his tone dismissing any further questions. The doctor nodded slowly and left. When the door clicked shut, Natalia looked at him. A slow, real smile touched her lips. “It really is, though,” she whispered. “Thanks to your magical blood.”He opened his mouth, then closed it again. He slipped into thought, a long moment of silence that stretched between them, making her wonder what he would say next. Finally, he turned and looked at her, his decision made. “You can’t stay in the hospital.”“Huh?”“You’ll live in my house. Till you’re better. I’ll have private nurses stationed there to look after you until you’re fit.”“Huh?” she repeated, confusion washing over her. “Why should I go to your house?”He walked back to the bed, stopping right beside her. He leaned down, bracing one

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 321
The door to her office clicked shut with more force than necessary. Amelia strode across the carpet and dropped into her desk chair. The new springs groaned slightly in protest. She didn’t lean back; she just hung her head, letting her hair fall forward like a curtain, her shoulders slumped with an exhaustion that had nothing to do with sleep. She didn’t need to look up when the door opened again. She knew the sound of his footsteps.“You didn’t have to follow me home, Leo,” she said to the desk, her voice muffled. “Or sneak around outside. I can take care of myself. I don’t need a bodyguard against my own father.”Leo stood just inside the doorway, his frame filling the space. He didn’t deny it. “I can’t just leave it to chance,” he said, his voice low. “How did it go? Did he…?”Amelia finally looked up, a hollow chuckle escaping her. “Hit me?” She shook her head. “He couldn’t even lift a finger. He was all bluster.” She pushed herself up, pacing a short path behind her desk. “My fat

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 320
Amelia took an involuntary step back, the air around him suddenly feeling several degrees colder. She understood then. Trust was a shattered vase on the floor between them. Trying to piece it back together now, with her lies still hanging in the air and no real answers to give, was impossible. He was walled off, protecting the only thing he had the energy to care about—the woman in the room behind the glass. She had to do what was important now. For herself. She gave one last, long look at Natalia’s window, then a shorter, more complicated one at Nathan’s bowed head. She nodded, a stiff, resigned motion. “Okay,” she whispered to no one. She turned and walked back down the hallway, the sound of her retreating footsteps swallowed by the carpet.Stepping out of the hospital’s automatic doors, the cool night air hit her like a slap, a stark contrast to the stale, clinical warmth inside. She took a deep, shuddering breath, trying to clear her head.“Amelia!”She turned. Leo was leaning ag

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 319
The account officer turned to his computer screen, his fingers flying over the keyboard. His professional demeanour shifted slightly, becoming more formal, almost stern. “I see here from our system that your bronze membership card was retrieved, and even that of your daughter here, some months back. All your banking privileges with our premium services were revoked immediately. By the direct order of the General Manager, Ms. Taylor herself.”Joyce leaned forward, a spark of her old entitlement flickering. “Yes, that was,” she paused and waved it off. “Is it possible we can retrieve them now?”The officer gave a slow, almost pitying shake of his head. “I can’t say. But given the circumstances, any appeal would likely be refused again. The reinstatement would require the General Manager’s personal approval, and she does not overturn such decisions lightly.” He offered a thin, professional smile. “Congratulations on your windfall, anyway. It should more than compensate.”Thelma felt diz

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 318
Thelma and Joyce could only gape. Young master? Their shock deepened into utter confusion as Liera stopped beside Nathan and gave a slight, but unmistakably respectful, bow of her head toward him. Then Liera turned the full force of her attention back to Thelma. “You can see the stamp. It is from Narvo Bank. It is not fake. Nathan is the top-tier client of the bank, a status you could not begin to comprehend.”“What?” Thelma breathed, the cheque trembling in her hand. “How is that possible… he was my destitute son-in-law… he fed off my daughter, so…”“Enough,” Liera repeated, the single word leaving no room for argument. “Now, get out of this place. Before I call security to have you both removed for harassing and insolence.”Joyce gulped audibly. They knew the name. Liera Dolph. Everyone in the city and beyond had heard stories of the ruthless, formidable woman who managed fortunes and made powerful men hesitate. The last thing they wanted was to be scapegoats.Joyce grabbed her mot

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 317
Nathan leaned his head back against the cool wall, closing his eyes for a second. “Heath kidnapped her because she rejected him. His obsession isn’t my creation, Mrs. Thelma.”Thelma took a sharp step forward, pointing a shaking finger. “It is! You bewitched her! You filled her head with your… your nonsense, and now she’s throwing her life away, stubbornly stuck on this idea of making a broken marriage with you work!” Her voice rose, echoing in the sterile hallway. “You’ve ruined her! You’ve ruined our lives forever! Just like you wanted!”He opened his eyes then, looking at her with a gaze so empty of anger it seemed to frighten her more. He said nothing. The accusation just hung there, the final, bitter line in the chapter of the long, bloody day.The harsh, antiseptic glare of the hospital hallway seemed to amplify Thelma’s voice, turning her whining into a grating echo. Her momentary shock had melted, not into concern, but into a familiar, panicky self-interest.“And now the expen

Previously, it appeared that I left a review with no stars, but in actuality that was a comment on one of the paragraphs in the book. As for the review I am enjoying the book quite a bit it has a lot of similarity to other books. there are some editing issues but not as bad as some I've seen.
Pandemic
I'll rate this 5 stars
