Chapter 1
“Master Nathan, please, just take the card. You’re the chairman of Dynasty Group. If you don’t believe me, take this card to Narvo Bank. Enter your birthday and check the balance. Everything will be revealed.”
Liera’s voice was calm but firm, her green eyes glistening with reverence. Without waiting for a response, she placed the sleek gold card on the table in front of him and bowed deeply—almost folding herself in half—before turning and walking out of the café.
After countless attempts to convince him, she had given up on words. Now, she would let the truth speak for itself.
Her heels clicked sharply against the floor. Outside, a black Rolls-Royce waited, its engine purring softly as she slid into the back seat.
A convoy of luxury cars followed her departure, leaving Nathan alone with the card and his thoughts.
Nathan stared at the card, his expression unreadable.
He didn’t pick it up immediately, instead letting out a low, humorless laugh. “Chairman of Dynasty Group? Me? What a joke.”
He had heard her out several times before, listened to her elaborate explanations about his supposed past, his wealth, his power. But it was all too absurd to believe.
He was just a waiter, a man who had built a quiet life out of the ashes of his forgotten memories. The idea that he was some billionaire tycoon was laughable.
Still, something about the way she had looked at him—the way she had bowed—stirred a flicker of unease in his chest.
He picked up the card, turning it over in his hands. It felt heavy, not in weight but in implication.
“Fine,” he muttered, slipping the card into his pocket. “I’ll play along. But this changes nothing.”
Now he needed to focus. Today is his anniversary with his wife Natalia.
For this great day, he had meticulously planned to leave work early and make dinner for his wife to celebrate it.
As he wiped down another table, a familiar, elegant figure entered the café.
Natalia’s long chestnut hair cascaded over her shoulders, framing her perfectly symmetrical face.
Her turquoise eyes sparkled as they always did, a feature that had captivated Nathan from the moment they met.
She carried herself with the effortless grace as the CEO of Sparkling Enterprises, her tailored black dress hugging her hourglass figure.
But Nathan’s smile faltered when he noticed the man walking beside her.
The man’s perfectly pressed navy suit screamed affluence, and the arrogant tilt of his chin made his disdain for the café obvious.
As they approached, Nathan instinctively tightened his grip on the cleaning rag.
“Natalia?” he asked, his voice laced with surprise. “What are you doing here?”
She didn’t return his smile. Instead, she took a deep breath, her turquoise eyes hardening slightly. “Nathan, we need to talk.”
His stomach twisted. “Is everything okay?”
“No,” she said bluntly. “I want a divorce.”
The words hit him like a punch to the gut. His hand froze mid-movement, and his eyes widened in disbelief.
“A divorce? Natalia, what are you talking about? Why?”
“We’re no longer suited for each other, Nathan. Our statuses don’t match. I’ve grown, and…you haven’t.” She said coldly, avoiding his gaze.
Nathan stared at her, stunned. “Statuses? Natalia, we’ve been married for three years. How can you say we’re not suited?”
James smirked, stepping forward. “Oh, come on, trash. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be. Natalia’s just being generous here.”
“Generous?” Nathan asked bitterly.
Natalia pulled out a cheque book, her movements calm yet deliberate. “I’ve already prepared some compensation. Ten million. It’s more than enough to set you up for life.”
Nathan laughed bitterly, shaking his head. “Ten million? That’s what three years of marriage is worth to you?”
She hesitated, then added, “Not enough?I’ll triple it—thirty million. That should be sufficient.”
“Sufficient?” Nathan’s voice cracked. “That’s what my years of support, sacrifice, and love amount to for you? ”
James chuckled, his tone dripping with mockery. “Just face it! You’re a cleaner in a dingy café. Even her driver earns ten times what you do. Be grateful she’s offering you anything at all.”
Nathan’s jaw tightened, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. “And you,” he said, glaring at James, “who exactly are you in all this?”
James smirked. “James Baron, heir to the Rhyners. Maybe you’ve heard of us? Natalia needs someone who matches her status—not someone who wipes tables for a living.”
Nathan’s eyes narrowed, recognizing the name. James was from one of the city’s wealthiest families. His presence suddenly made sense. He was probably the new man Natalia considered suitable for her.
James tossed a set of papers onto the table with a flourish. “Here’s the divorce agreement. Sign it and move on.”
Natalia hesitated, pulling out her pen and cheque book. “If thirty million isn’t enough, name your price, Nathan.”
Nathan looked at her, his heart heavy with disappointment. “You still don’t get it, do you? I don’t want your money, Natalia.”
“Then what do you want?” she asked softly.
“I wanted us,” he said, his voice cold. “But clearly, that’s not what you want anymore.”
He took the pen and signed the papers without another word, his hands trembling slightly.
When he was done, he placed them back on the desk and looked at her one last time. “I hope your new life is everything you want it to be,” he said, his voice laced with quiet finality.
Natalia took them. For a brief moment, she seemed conflicted, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside and left with James quietly.
Nathan stood there, clenched his fists and let out a bitter laugh.
Was money really that important?
Shaking his head slightly, he reached into his pocket, his fingers brushed against the black card Liera had given him. Her words echoed in his mind.
Is he really the trillionaire like she said?
Maybe it was time to find out the truth.

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 154
Amelia stood in her suite, barefoot, a glass of red wine dangling from her fingers. The room was dark, lit only by the pale glow of the city lights beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass wall. She stared out at the corners of the High Lake Hotel below and the glittering sprawl of the city stretching into the horizon. The world looked so calm from up here, so distant from the storm brewing inside her.She raised her phone, thumb hovering over Nathan's contact name before she pressed it. The dial tone rang in her ear once. Twice. Three times. No answer. She tried again. Nothing. Her grip on the phone tightened, her knuckles whitening. She lifted it slightly, fury flaring in her chest, ready to smash it against the marble wall, then stopped herself. She muttered through clenched teeth, "Dammit, Nathan."She lowered her hand slowly, breathing out in frustration. "I hate this. I hate that you're not picking my calls."She sipped the wine and leaned her forehead against the cool glass. "The laun

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 153
Lugard gave a dismissive snort. “His records are not all that impressive to me.”Louisa almost hissed. Everything Rowan said sounded remarkable. Even she had heard about Teslow Valley. But she knew her father would rather choke on sand than acknowledge the man who once humiliated him. With a grunt, Lugard tossed the envelope and papers to the couch. “You can go.”Rowan bowed again. He turned toward the door but paused, as if just realizing Louisa’s presence. He bowed slightly to her.She nodded back. When he left, she quietly folded her knitting. She just wanted to finish it upstairs, away from the thick tension that always suffocated the lounge. As she stood, hoping to slip out unnoticed, his voice rang.“I need to pull Nathan down.”Louisa hesitated. She reached for the stairs again.“Don’t pretend like you didn’t hear me!” Lugard barked. She froze, teeth clenched. Slowly, she turned back.“I see how selfish you've grown to be. You don't care about what bothers me!" “I do care abou

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 152
Thelma paced her room, a smug smile dancing on her lips as she stared at the phone in her hand, Nathan’s phone. The device was still damp from the juice she had spilled on it earlier, the screen dark and lifeless. She checked her wristwatch again.Twenty minutes. Just enough time to stall him.Perfect.Her men should have finished the job by now. She only hoped Natalia wouldn’t get curious and come barging into the room.Acting quickly, she plugged in her hand dryer and switched it on, pointing it at the phone. The sound of hot air filled the room, and she positioned herself so that if anyone walked in, they’d see her trying to "save" the phone. Her phone beeped. She grabbed it with a glint in her eyes and opened the message.Paul: "It’s done, ma'am. The package is secure. Taylor is with us."Thelma's lips stretched into a smile. She dropped her phone on the bed and exhaled in satisfaction."Both plans were successful," she murmured to herself. "Beautiful."She switched off the hand d

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 151
Thelma giggled to herself, took a few deep breaths to calm the giddiness in her chest, then stashed Nathan’s phone under the hem of her blouse. Her expression neutralized, she opened the bathroom door and slipped out quietly. As she approached the dining room, she saw Nathan just entering from the opposite hallway. Perfect timing. She quickened her pace and entered the room. Just as Nathan was taking his seat at the table, Thelma walked past him toward her own chair. In one swift move, she let the phone slip from under her blouse. It fell, landing right at Nathan’s foot. She gasped loudly.“Sorry, Nathan!” she said quickly. “My hand must have swept your phone off the table. It dropped.”Natalia looked at her, narrowing her eyes slightly.Nathan bent to pick the phone, but Thelma moved quicker. With a kind smile, she scooped it up and gently dropped it beside his plate.“I hope it’s working,” she said with a concerned tone.Nathan nodded and pressed the power button. The phone came to

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 150
Nathan said nothing as he pushed back a close couch his hand landed on with more force than necessary. The scraping sound earned no glance from anyone, but the clenched jaw he carried betrayed the storm churning in him. He stepped away from Natalia, avoiding her gaze, his fingers curling and uncurling as if seeking release.Behind him, Joyce let out a loud grumble. "Mother really needs to see an optician. A snake? Really?" she muttered, shaking her head and rolling her eyes before marching back to the dining table.Nathan was just about to follow suit when he caught sight of Natalia, standing still by the wall, her gaze fixed sharply on him. Her arms crossed."What?" He motioned at her, eyebrows lifted as he halted, his body halfway turned. She didn't move. "You rushed to come save me again."He squinted. "Excuse you?"She waved as if dismissing his denial before it came. "Don't bother denying it, Nathan. The moment my mother said she saw a snake, you probably recalled I hated snakes

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 149
At ten past seven, the dining room in Thelma's home was filled with the scent of freshly cooked delicacies. Roasted garlic mashed potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, grilled asparagus, and tender filet mignon with herb butter sat elegantly on fine porcelain. The clinking of cutlery and the low hum of idle chatter filled the air.Nathan sat across from Natalia, his posture relaxed but eyes observant. Though he appeared calm, an edge of wariness lingered in his gaze. Something felt off about the evening. Still, curiosity and the desire for clarity had drawn him here."Have some more carrots, Nathan," Thelma offered sweetly, using a silver spoon to add a generous serving to his plate. "I made most of the dishes myself."Nathan looked at her, eyes narrowing slightly before he gave a polite nod. "They taste good. Thank you."Natalia blinked, setting down her glass. "You cooked?"Thelma smiled. "Of course. And Natalia helped. Didn't you, dear?"Natalia gave a hesitant smile. "I did... some."The
