Chapter 1
“Master Nathan, please, just take the card. You’re the chairman of Dynasty Group. If you don’t believe me, take this card to Narvo Bank. Enter your birthday and check the balance. Everything will be revealed.”
Liera’s voice was calm but firm, her green eyes glistening with reverence. Without waiting for a response, she placed the sleek gold card on the table in front of him and bowed deeply—almost folding herself in half—before turning and walking out of the café.
After countless attempts to convince him, she had given up on words. Now, she would let the truth speak for itself.
Her heels clicked sharply against the floor. Outside, a black Rolls-Royce waited, its engine purring softly as she slid into the back seat.
A convoy of luxury cars followed her departure, leaving Nathan alone with the card and his thoughts.
Nathan stared at the card, his expression unreadable.
He didn’t pick it up immediately, instead letting out a low, humorless laugh. “Chairman of Dynasty Group? Me? What a joke.”
He had heard her out several times before, listened to her elaborate explanations about his supposed past, his wealth, his power. But it was all too absurd to believe.
He was just a waiter, a man who had built a quiet life out of the ashes of his forgotten memories. The idea that he was some billionaire tycoon was laughable.
Still, something about the way she had looked at him—the way she had bowed—stirred a flicker of unease in his chest.
He picked up the card, turning it over in his hands. It felt heavy, not in weight but in implication.
“Fine,” he muttered, slipping the card into his pocket. “I’ll play along. But this changes nothing.”
Now he needed to focus. Today is his anniversary with his wife Natalia.
For this great day, he had meticulously planned to leave work early and make dinner for his wife to celebrate it.
As he wiped down another table, a familiar, elegant figure entered the café.
Natalia’s long chestnut hair cascaded over her shoulders, framing her perfectly symmetrical face.
Her turquoise eyes sparkled as they always did, a feature that had captivated Nathan from the moment they met.
She carried herself with the effortless grace as the CEO of Sparkling Enterprises, her tailored black dress hugging her hourglass figure.
But Nathan’s smile faltered when he noticed the man walking beside her.
The man’s perfectly pressed navy suit screamed affluence, and the arrogant tilt of his chin made his disdain for the café obvious.
As they approached, Nathan instinctively tightened his grip on the cleaning rag.
“Natalia?” he asked, his voice laced with surprise. “What are you doing here?”
She didn’t return his smile. Instead, she took a deep breath, her turquoise eyes hardening slightly. “Nathan, we need to talk.”
His stomach twisted. “Is everything okay?”
“No,” she said bluntly. “I want a divorce.”
The words hit him like a punch to the gut. His hand froze mid-movement, and his eyes widened in disbelief.
“A divorce? Natalia, what are you talking about? Why?”
“We’re no longer suited for each other, Nathan. Our statuses don’t match. I’ve grown, and…you haven’t.” She said coldly, avoiding his gaze.
Nathan stared at her, stunned. “Statuses? Natalia, we’ve been married for three years. How can you say we’re not suited?”
James smirked, stepping forward. “Oh, come on, trash. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be. Natalia’s just being generous here.”
“Generous?” Nathan asked bitterly.
Natalia pulled out a cheque book, her movements calm yet deliberate. “I’ve already prepared some compensation. Ten million. It’s more than enough to set you up for life.”
Nathan laughed bitterly, shaking his head. “Ten million? That’s what three years of marriage is worth to you?”
She hesitated, then added, “Not enough?I’ll triple it—thirty million. That should be sufficient.”
“Sufficient?” Nathan’s voice cracked. “That’s what my years of support, sacrifice, and love amount to for you? ”
James chuckled, his tone dripping with mockery. “Just face it! You’re a cleaner in a dingy café. Even her driver earns ten times what you do. Be grateful she’s offering you anything at all.”
Nathan’s jaw tightened, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. “And you,” he said, glaring at James, “who exactly are you in all this?”
James smirked. “James Baron, heir to the Rhyners. Maybe you’ve heard of us? Natalia needs someone who matches her status—not someone who wipes tables for a living.”
Nathan’s eyes narrowed, recognizing the name. James was from one of the city’s wealthiest families. His presence suddenly made sense. He was probably the new man Natalia considered suitable for her.
James tossed a set of papers onto the table with a flourish. “Here’s the divorce agreement. Sign it and move on.”
Natalia hesitated, pulling out her pen and cheque book. “If thirty million isn’t enough, name your price, Nathan.”
Nathan looked at her, his heart heavy with disappointment. “You still don’t get it, do you? I don’t want your money, Natalia.”
“Then what do you want?” she asked softly.
“I wanted us,” he said, his voice cold. “But clearly, that’s not what you want anymore.”
He took the pen and signed the papers without another word, his hands trembling slightly.
When he was done, he placed them back on the desk and looked at her one last time. “I hope your new life is everything you want it to be,” he said, his voice laced with quiet finality.
Natalia took them. For a brief moment, she seemed conflicted, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside and left with James quietly.
Nathan stood there, clenched his fists and let out a bitter laugh.
Was money really that important?
Shaking his head slightly, he reached into his pocket, his fingers brushed against the black card Liera had given him. Her words echoed in his mind.
Is he really the trillionaire like she said?
Maybe it was time to find out the truth.

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 179
Nathan parked the sleek black sedan in front of the Monroe mansion, his gaze scanning the impressive pillars before the door opened. Taylor stepped out gracefully, her heels clicking lightly on the marble steps as she approached. She had her hair styled in soft waves that framed her face, her pearl earrings glinting beneath the porch light. Nathan moved instinctively, opening the passenger door for her.“I thought you wouldn’t want me to come with you,” she said with a playful smile, pausing beside him before sliding into the seat.Nathan’s lips curved faintly as he steadied the door. “Well, you asked. I couldn’t refuse. Besides, I want you to mingle again. You’ve been hiding away since… that incident. You need it, for your mind, for your heart.”Taylor slipped into the seat, smoothing her silk dress as she did. “You shouldn’t be worried, Nathan. My mental health is fine,” she assured, though her tone carried more weight than she probably realized.Nathan circled to the driver’s side,

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 178
Louisa folded the handkerchief, tucking the stained corner into the pocket where the vial once rested. Her hands shook as she climbed out of the car and closed the door soft. Nathan stood, wiping grease from his fingers. He turned and met her eyes.“Thanks,” she said, voice small. She stepped forward, keeping her manner light. “I’ll pay you back.”Nathan shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. You’ll get home.”A moth beat at the streetlamp, and the night smelled of warm tar. Louisa’s stomach turned. The vial’s cold weight pressed into her mind like a finger. Her father’s words were a drum, press, obey. She moved toward him, handkerchief hidden in her palm. If she could rub a trace on his exposed forearm, it would be almost clean, like a smear he’d not notice. He bent to check the radiator, his sleeve rolled just enough.Louisa paused, the handkerchief trembling at her fingertips. In one step she could do what her father demanded. In the next she could let him live. The earth beneath h

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 177
Amelia leaned back against the pillow, the sun slanting through the ward window. “My launch is coming up – Selvarrah Jewels. I hope you’ll come this time and not reject it like you did last time.”Nathan’s mouth twitched. “I’ll likely consider it.”“Great. I think I should have just gone out of my way to get you to accept the invitation before.” Her eyes glittered, half fun, half challenge. He gave a short laugh. “I’m sorry for rejecting your invitation. I found you… irritating then.”She gasped, hand over her chest. “Excuse me?!” Her face went theatrically offended. “You found me irritating?”He shrugged. “Now I don’t.”“Oh.” She sat up, mock serious. “So it took me putting on brave boots and walking into a fire to change your mind?”He looked at her sideways. “You came across as silly at first. Didn’t strike me as an entrepreneur.”She blinked, then grinned. “So you’re definitely attending my launch, right?”He looked at her and simply nodded. “Yes. I’ll attend the launch.”“Great.

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 176
James’s voice trembled as he started to speak, then froze when his eyes landed on Nathan outside the slatted blinds. He swallowed hard, and the single word he’d been about to give cracked off his tongue: “It was The—” He stopped, because Nathan’s sharp shake of the head said everything without sound.“Um.” James stammered, flailing for a cover. He forced a small, hollow laugh and then, with panic softening into practiced confusion, lied. “I don’t recall seeing an accomplice. It was dark. I was confused. I couldn't make out any face.” His hands shook on the blanket.“Are you sure?” the officer pressed, pen poised.“Yes,” James answered quickly, eyes flicking toward the window where Nathan stood. “I just… I need to be left alone to rest, please.”The officers exchanged looks, took notes, and after a few more gentle questions they left the room. The door clicked closed behind them and the hallway’s noise resumed.Nathan stepped in without knocking. James’ face stiffened. Nathan’s voice w

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 175
Nathan had just stepped out of the doctor’s office, his face unreadable as the man’s words lingered in his head. Amelia, Taylor, and even James, all stable enough to be discharged later that day or the next. As he walked down the quiet corridor, his gaze snagged on a figure at the far end. Natalia. His brows pulled tight, instinct drawing his expression into a frown. She stood waiting, wringing her fingers, her eyes darting like a guilty child. His stomach hardened. He didn’t need to guess why she was here; surely, another round of begging, or worse, defending her mother. She hurried toward him, words tumbling out. “Nathan…”“Why are you here?” His voice cut sharply, cold enough to make her flinch.“I’m sorry.” She stopped right in front of him, breath shaky. “You were right. My mother… she did what you accused her of. And just like you, I want her to pay. Lawfully.”His stare didn’t soften. He studied her as though every syllable might be a lie.“I’ll testify against her,” Natalia p

THE SUPREME NATHAN THORNS (The City's god) Chapter 174
Natalia’s hands trembled. The house tilted. She had expected excuses, denials, a lie. Not the simple, cold truth.“You want money?” she whispered. Thelma’s answer was not fast.“Yes.” Thelma’s voice held no shame. “I wanted reward money. I wanted Nathan gone for good.”For a moment, everything in Natalia frayed, the soft lies, the dinners, the promises. Her mother’s face, once a familiar map, now felt like a stranger’s mask. Thelma’s calm made the house feel empty and cruel.Natalia’s legs nearly failed. She sank onto a chair, head bowed, the reality folding around her like winter. “You used me,” she said, the betrayal raw in her voice. “You used me, Taylor, and James. For money.” She looked up, eyes wild. “You knew. You planned it.”Thelma leaned back, gaze steady. “I did what I had to do,” she said simply.Natalia pressed both palms to her face, hot and trembling. The bright kitchen light hummed above them. Outside, the world kept moving. Inside, the hush between mother and daughte

Previously, it appeared that I left a review with no stars, but in actuality that was a comment on one of the paragraphs in the book. As for the review I am enjoying the book quite a bit it has a lot of similarity to other books. there are some editing issues but not as bad as some I've seen.

I'll rate this 5 stars
