CHAPTER 47

The next morning, Harvey was jolted awake by a startling noise at his door. He was taken aback by the unexpected visitor, doubting if she had ever been there before.

As he opened the door, he nearly received a resounding slap. But he quickly caught her hands and deflected the blow away from his face.

Giving her a stern look, he asked, "What do you think you're doing here, Margaret?"

Margaret, seething with anger at everything that had unfolded, blamed Harvey for her her misfortune.

"How dare you, Harvey! I warned you to stay out of my family affairs," she spoke bitterly. Her bold statement left him bewildered.

"You've managed to turn Halle against me, and now you're trying to do the same with Serena," Margaret said, furrowing her brows.

"You're out of your mind, Margaret. Everything happening in your family is a result of your own actions," he laughed.

"It's amusing how I haven't even set out to ruin you yet, and your world seems to be crumbling down, Margaret."
