Countless gravestones stood on the land, like swords stuck to the ground and the whole graveyard was surrounded by a board fence.
Most of the headstones were no longer even legible. Grass and weeds grew rank over the whole cemetery.
And in the middle of such cemetery stood a crowd of people.
They were gathered around a burial hole that was dug out with a heap of sand just beside it.
There were people crying and wailing on one side of the burial site and the people who were standing ideally, talking about something as if they were busy on the other side.
And in the middle of all the wailing and talking was a boy, sitting just in front of the burial site with a corpse in front of him.
By his appearance, he seemed to be about 10 or 11 years at most, but his eyes told otherwise.
he was watching a corpse of a certain woman, who was covered in whole by white cloths.
His eyes were indifferent as he watched the corpse of that woman, his expression was blank as if he couldn't even feel anything and he seemed to be in a daze unaware of his surroundings!
Various rituals were going on but the boy was the least bit worried about them as his eyes didn't even leave the site of the women's corpse for even a second.
He wasn't even paying attention to the Old man who was calling him out by shaking his shoulders. he was busy watching the peaceful expression on the women's face as if she was having a peaceful sleep.
He didn't know how much time passed? but some people came near the body lifting it up.
The boy still didn't show any emotions on his face, just that his eyes followed the women's corpse.
The men placed her corpse inside the grave.
The Oldman who was beside him came near the boy, holding his hand and he forcefully placed a flower on the woman's body.
Tears flowed out of the old man's face as he kneeled not being able to take the silence of the Boy!
But even then, the boy's eyes didn't leave the corpse's face as he was still staring at the Woman's face standing like he was in a daze.
His expression was blank as if he had lost all his senses.
"Look at him, how can he stay like that? there isn't even a drop of tear in his eyes?"
"I don't how can he be like that when his mother's corpse is right in front of his eyes!"
"Why would he cry? when he is the one responsible for her death!"
"Look how he is standing still, just push him into the grave with her, let that pest go to hell"
He could hear all the people cursing him!
He could hear the mortician, taking up the tool to bury the body!
He could hear the Oldman behind him collapsing, he could hear all the people who were screaming!! He could hear everything!'
But his body refused to move...
He still wanted to see his mother's face, but his legs didn't listen to him.
He wanted to place the soil on her himself, but his hands refused to budge...
He wanted to cry but his eyes refused to do so...
The whole felt like it was breaking apart and his mind went blank.
He held onto his head with both his hands as he mumbled "I didn't...I am not the one...I want to be with mom..."
He was just mumbling anything that came to his mind and shortly started to laugh lightly "Yeah...she said...She said that she will come back... tomorrow....morning....she will come back...let's go wait at the home...she will surely come back...Mom said that she wouldn't lie...she would come back"
He had lost it!
He felt like he had lost all his senses. His mind went black, the noises around him became silent, and the only thing he could see was the disappearing corpse in the middle of the sand.
He kept on rambling about things that he himself didn't know of.
He was feeling chills inside and his whole body was shivering.
He was blabbering so much that he didn't know what he was rambling about.
and when he felt like his head was about to burst...
