Chapter 40

David slowly opened up his eyes and found himself falling into a dark and empty abyss, sinking deeper and deeper in to the void almost as though his body was tired down to an anchor, pulling him deeper and deeper down into the abyss.

David felt his body had gone numb, losing every sense of feeling, he also felt cold but was shivering or craving warmth, and his body felt too heavy to move even a single finger.

It felt strange to David but at the same time he felt strangely at peace within the darkness and just wanted to continue to sink further down into it, but then he had a familiar voice call out for him, saying, “David”

David then found himself out of the darkness and in a strange room.

It was a bedroom with a neatly made bed, a cupboard filled with clothes, and a single window next to it.

David then heard saw sound of someone crying from underneath the bed but just as David was about to check the room door opened.

David then turned around to see who it was that opened the door.
