Sebastian hurried home as he was not only hastening his feet but also running to avoid being late.

He finally got home, and as soon as he opened the entrance door of the house, he met Juliana. She was beautifully dressed, with her dazzling body shape.

Sebastian was all lost as he gazed helplessly at his beautiful wife. He was stunned for some moment, thinking about how his wife becomes more beautiful every day.

“Sebatian, what are you standing there looking at? Where have you been? We are almost running late.”

Sebastian got back to his lost self, swinging his hands like he was looking for something. He stammered, “I went to get… I went to the other street to—”

“What is wrong with you Sebastian? Go get prepared, or we'll be late.” Juliana interrupted as she wasn't even prepared for Sebatian's explanation.

She wouldn't have even bothered going with Sebastian to the wedding if it wasn't for Cindy and Romy. They would have definitely mocked her for marrying someone she can't go out with.

Immediately, Sebastian ran in to get prepared. On getting to the store room where he kept his things, he met his Mother-in-law.

“You poor thing, you left that toilet unwashed this morning. Do you want me to get sick, or do you want me to send you parking already? You homeless beggar!”

Sh*t! He forgot about washing the toilet! Sebatian felt so helpless, he should have washed the toilet before going out to sign the documents.

“You had better wash it up before joining us in the car or else, I'll make sure you starve for a week in this house. You ingrate!” Sebastian's mother-in-law angrily said, as she went outside to join the family car.

As soon as his Mother-in-law finished her statements, Sebastian went into the toilet. In a flash, he washed the toilet, and hurried back to the store room to dress up for the wedding.

Sebastian finished as he rushed outside like a kid who was late for school, just to join the family car. The lord seemed to favor him when he came out, and they were all still waiting for Jade to come join up in the car.

Just when Sebastian got into the car, his Mother-in-law who was seated in front looked at Sebastian behind in irritation, and said, “Sebastian, what the hell are you wearing? Your shirt looks tatard and shabby. Oh! good lord, I can't wait for my daughter to completely divorce you.”

“You can't even afford a nice shirt Sebatian. If not for my granddaughter, you shouldn't be even joining us for the wedding. You're such a disgrace.”

Of course Sebastian had more than enough money to buy as many nice shirts as he wanted, but he preferred dressing shabbily just to stay low and hide his true identity.

Soon, Jade was done and came out to join up in the car.

She was about to enter the car when she caught sight of Sebastian. Her facial expression became worse.

“Mom, why is Sebastian going with us? He's not even well-dressed, he's looking like a beggar. I can't believe my sister married this thing, he shouldn't sit with us when we get to the wedding venue.”

As she got into the car, she pointed at Sebastian, and said, “Look here you church rat, don't you dare sit with us in the venue, or else you will regret it!”

Juliana couldn't say anything as she already felt so embarrassed by Sebatian outfit. She knew about his financial situation more than anybody in the family. She knew Sebastian could not afford to buy nice clothes, so there was no use overthinking about what he wore.

After a few minutes drive, they got to the wedding venue, at Saffron Hotel.

The Saffron Hotel, the most popular in the city of Lanchester, known for the purposes of entertainment. The lively energy of this place was an epic, gorgeous environment as the costs were only affordable by the elite, the famous, the influential, and those who dared to compete.

There were many luxury cars parked outside the gate in front of the hotel, as parking spaces inside the hotel were already filled up.

At this place and on this day, this was where Brian's male cousin's wedding was organized.

The Nike family had to park outside the gate as well, as they were late on arrival. They walked into the hotel one after the other. They saw a crowd of guests when they entered the hall, and the wedding had already started. Cindy and Romy were already at the venue as well because they were part of the organizers. They looked over and saw the family, Cindy was smiling happily, until she saw Sebastian who came along with the family.

“What is that rag Sebatian is wearing? I can't believe this, this guy is so poor that he can't get himself a nice shirt. Why is he even here?!” Cindy was indeed unhappy with Sebatian accompanying the Nike family, as she wished she could stand up and walk Sebatian out of the venue.

The Nike family went and had their seats, but Sebastian didn't join them because he was warned not to sit with them. He then left the family, immediately they entered the hall.

Sebastian turned his face around the hall, looking for a seat. Suddenly, he saw two of his classmates in school then, Charles Benz and Vivian Kings, sitting at the other side of the hall. So he went to greet them and also joined them.

Charles Benz, who was the Sebatian's class monitor in school then, was the assistant general manager of Nike. While Vivian Kings was the General manager of Prime Enterprise.

Immediately they saw Sebastian sitting with them, they became furious. Vivian didn't even let Sebatian stay with them comfortably.

“Are you crazy or something?! You left other places to sit, and came here to sit with us? How dare you come sit with us, are you out of your mind?!”

“Ah, is this someone's seat?” Sebastian stood up and said.

“No, we just don't want you sitting here with us.” Charles said, “Didn't you look at yourself? You look like a beggar, you should have remained outside. I'm so disappointed in the security guard for letting you in. Security!”

As soon as Charles called security, many guests in the hall including the Nike family, turned their attention to what was going on at the moment. They thought Sebatian was indeed a nuisance due to what he wore.

Brian looked to see what was going on, and saw that it was Sebastian. He stood up from his seat with anger, walking towards Sebatian, he said, “Who invited you for this wedding? Do you think beggars are allowed here? Get out of this hall at this moment!”

“Is this not the son-in-law to the Nikes, he's so foolish to come to a gathering like this.”

“I heard he's a slave at home, I would never be a slave in my in-law's house, he's so shameless.”

“Poverty is written all over him, can't you see. He had the audacity to be part of this event.”

Some guests who were present in the hall murmured and gossiped about Sebastian already.

Sebastian felt so helpless that he wished he had not even attended. How humiliated he would feel, in the presence of the numerous guests that attended the wedding. He wouldn't feel alright, would he?

“Security! Security!! Take this beggar out of this hall and the entire premises at this moment! This event is for the elites not the beggars.”

The Security guards responded immediately when they heard the call from Brian. They were all set to bundle Sebastian out of the venue, what other humiliation is worse than this? Things were actually getting very silly for Sebastian.

“Hands off him at this moment! Any other finger laid on that man, and I will make sure you all lose your jobs within minutes!”

Someone from the crowd of guests at the wedding, seated in the front row spoke with a very loud voice. Everyone's attention was suddenly shifted from the compiling drama that was happening already, to him. They were anxious to know who would threaten the security guards, and counter the orders of Brian.

We were aware of the Director General's corruption, but this? allowing criminals with serious charges like theirs to be released on bail?"Abigail folded her arms tightly and reclined in her chair. "It is disgusting. Drug trafficking, organized crime, and conspiracy are serious crimes. "This demonstrates one thing, the Director General is not operating alone. Someone convinced him to make the courts dance to their tune."Sebastian shakes his head. "Who might that be? Who has the power to persuade the court to ignore such serious crimes

Senior Nike looked up from his seat, his face tired but intrigued. Cindy and Romy looked at each other, their faces hopeful but tense."So, what is it?" Senior Nike inquired, his voice steady despite the weight of their recent ordeal. The officer was holding up a phone. “Miss Angelina's work has been going above and beyond. The application for bail has been filed. Although it is not yet complete, it is a positive step.”As the words took hold, there was a brief pause in conversation. After that, the three felt a wave of relief as though a switch had been flipped. For the first time since their arrest, Senior Nike's stern manner softened as he exhaled deeply.
