17. The Hidden Quest [II]

Teagan cursed and swore all the way back. When they got back to the camp, the goblin overseer was still lingering by the black pot. The purple poison on his body had disappeared, but his blood and energy had decreased by more than 2,000.

Teagan said, "Let's change tactics. I'll set up a poison array here, and you, beautiful lady, can lure the boss over. I know it's a bit risky, but it's the only way."

"I'll lure it myself." Ryan couldn't bear to let Bloodshot, a girl, lure the boss.

The boss turned and attacked Ryan, who then ran away. At this moment, Bloodshot's pretty face turned red, and she roared at the boss. The boss seemed to be affected by something, and its aggro shifted to Bloodshot, causing it to turn around and attack her again.

Bloodshot had already drank several large bottles of red potions, restoring about half of her health. At this moment, abyss wraiths appeared on the boss, their skin turning completely pale purple, and their attributes dropped drastically. As a result, Bloodshot managed to withstand the boss's attack, losing only a little over 800 health points, barely managing to hold on.

Just now, thanks to Bloodshot's special skill "Taunt," a must-have "ultimate skill" for level 15 Guardian Warriors, it had a 90% chance to pull the boss's aggro.

The two returned to the goblin camp and found the boss still going berserk, swinging his spear and yelling. He was covered in wraiths and had only 12,000 health points left. Clearly, Teagan's poison array had been running continuously throughout this period.

The two attacked the boss again, with Bloodshot using a taunt skill to draw aggro when the opportunity arose, while Ryan wielded his sword and attacked frequently. The boss's berserk skill had ended, its attributes had recovered, and the chance of an instant kill had been greatly reduced.

Even so, the boss was still very difficult to defeat. In the end, Ryan and Bloodshot ran out of red potions and died and returned to town once more. After replenishing their potions, they ran back and finally managed to whittle down the boss in nearly an hour.

With a roar of resentment, the boss's towering body fell backward, scattering gold coins and several pieces of equipment across the ground.

At the same time, Ryan and Teagan's experience points skyrocketed, instantly jumping from level 19 to level 21, and their experience points surged to 85%. Bloodshot also instantly reached level 22, with her experience points surging to 35%.

"It's worth it even if it's tiring, I leveled up twice in a row." Ryan was very excited, this was much faster than grinding monsters.

"Let's go check out the equipment." Teagan led the way to the corpse of the Goblin Overlord, and had Ryan cut off the Goblin Overlord's head first, to be kept for the quest later. 

Then they picked up the gold coins and equipment. A total of 240 gold coins had dropped, another large sum of money. Three pieces of equipment had dropped, plus a blue skill book.
