Chapter 63 : Fire & Ice

Alec and Isabella held each other's hands as the car drove into the family estate, the last time they were home wasn't exactly a pleasant experience.

Stepping out of the car, they went straight to their rooms, hoping to avoid as much interactions as possible.

Isabella glanced out the window, she could see her mother and the lady of the house taking a casual stroll in the garden while seemingly discussing something important.

A knock on the door called her attention away from the ladies in the garden.

"Who is it?" Isabella asked.

"It's Alec" Came her brother's voice.

"Come in" Isabella said.

"When do you want to go see mum and dad?" Alec asked.

"I don't know, mum's having a discussion with Lady Garcia in the garden at the moment" Isabella replied.

"This holiday doesn't have to be this way, it could be better, we just need to walk with our heads held high" Alec said.

"It's one thing to do that in school where people don't know the mistake I made but here, everyone knows about it" Isabel
