At this moment, everyone looked at Ethan and huffed. Not even Axel,  a senior staff member from the bank, will be able to save him. He was busy throwing his weight around without realizing the consequences of it? What a joke!

He even had the guts to go against Logan? A scion from a powerful family? Of course Ethan was doomed. No one could save him now, not even the heavens.

“Come on, punk, you don’t think you’ll escape, do you? Now pay up. Let’s see how you can fork out five hundred million dollars since you have the guts to call it so casually like it’s something a bum like you can have at will.” Logan sneered.

In fact, he didn’t care to reveal what his intentions had been, as already, Ethan had foolishly fallen for it.

“Let me tell you, even a rich scion like me wouldn’t dare to go to such an extent—buy a useless ring worth such an amount of money. I was only saying those prices to lure you in, and it seems you fell for it! Hahahahaha, what a wastrel.” He added.

“Perhaps he feels the fake card can help him sort it out. Even if you run a fake transfer here, you won’t get away with it. Do you know who Orion Asher is? Nothing awaits you now but death.” Amelia chided with a sinister smile on her lips. 

However, Ethan remained composed. He looked at Logan and chuckled.

“Where is your pride?  Do you mean the almighty Hale family can’t dare to raise five hundred million or what? It’s good that you backed out. I don’t think your family would have taken what you almost did today.”

He already knew what Logan’s intentions were, but who cares?  

“You!!!” Logan gritted his teeth and immediately looked around. When he noticed people were looking at him as they seemed to be pondering what Ethan said, he immediately said something to clear the air.

“Stop saying nonsense and pay up.  If my family wants to, they will buy such an item, and it won’t even affect us. We don’t like to brag too much. In fact, forking out five hundred million to us is as easy as taking the trash out.” He was filled with a sense of pride as he spoke.

“Sir, can we have your card for the payment?” The MC suddenly walked up to them while his assistant was following closely with a payment terminal. 

As everyone saw this, their attention was once again swayed back to Ethan, waiting to see what was going to happen. Infant, as they had already predicted how the outcome would be, it suddenly felt like they were watching a death sentence about to be passed on—Ethan's death sentence.

“Okay, sure. You may have my card.”  Ethan was unfazed by all the stares that were fixed on him as he dipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out his black card.

By the side, Axel was watching and almost squealed in excitement as she knew the mud would be rubbed on these losers' faces.  She could have talked earlier, but Ethan tapped her finger, telling her she was to let him handle things.

“A black bronze card with silver markings?” Multiple gasps flew out of everyone’s lips. Even the Mc eyes became wide open. He was supposed to collect the card, but now he was too shocked to move.  The significance of the card easily caused a stir in the hall. 

“That’s a black card. Does this mean this man isn’t the trash we assume him to be?”

“Or he might be some big shot who wanted to lay low. Now it makes sense. If not, explain why he is with Axel, who is a director from the bank.”

“We did say some rude things to him so loudly not long ago. We are here to make friends with the big shots here. It feels like one has just snuck out of our noses.”

“We need to apologize quickly.”

Almost everyone began to have a change of view right after seeing the black card Ethan had taken out, and knowing the significance and the details of it, they quickly wanted to put in some sweet words so they could curry favor with him.

As for Amelia and Logan, their faces paled. Seeing that Ethan had become the center of attention, their faces became even uglier.

“Mr. Mc, can you confirm now if the card is authentic? We know this brute. He probably stole that card.” Logan sneered.

“Yes, he did. After all, he confessed to me before now. That card was stolen.” Amelia chimed in right after.

Hearing this, everyone's face turns pale again. Their gazes went back to Ethan, and having scrutinized him well, it suddenly made sense that it would be a fraud for a bum like him to have such a card.

Their hopes soared just now, which was quite foolish. But before they could say anything, Axel did. Her eyes were filled with so much anger as she was tired of being in the company of such people.

“Mr. Mc, why don't you go ahead and run the payment? If it doesn't work out, then these lots can run their mouths the way they see fit.” She was tired of seeing them look down on Ethan when she was a living witness to the giant balance on that card.

“Ooh yeah, that's right.”  The MC was so lost in himself, and only now did he snap back to reality. That card, only two hundred of them were produced worldwide, and for it to appear here meant something. 

Sweat suddenly broke out of his pores. He collected the card and inserted it into the payment terminal.  He then operated it for a while before turning it over to Ethan to input his PIN so the payment of five hundred million dollars could go through.

Ethan casually inserted his pin, and the interface on the payment terminal showed processing.

“Hmph, don't worry, I'll be the first to beat you into pulp if the payment doesn't go through.” Logan was still reluctant to relent. He began to fold his sleeve, ready to engage Ethan so he could put him down.

“You dare to look smug with a stolen card? All that act will turn into despair soon.” He added.

“I’ve never met anyone so shameless. Tch! It's so irritating.” Amelia also sneered in disgust.

However, what came next made the whole hall silent.
