Julian on the other hand whistled as he stepped out of his apartment nodding slightly to the melody he was whistling.
After leaving the hospital, he headed directly to his apartment to change his clothes.
Luckily, his cheating wife was not at home. This gave him a lot of chances to do what he wanted.
He was going to move out. But after looking around, he realized he didn't own more than four pairs of clothes. That was all he owned.
He had spent his life, toiling away for his wife, barely doing anything for himself.
But what did he get in the end? Disdain and getting his limbs broken. That was all to it.
Julian clenched his fist thinking about this as rage flashed across his eyes.
Soon, he calmed down and shook his head. He had already demanded for a divorce and would have gone to get the divorce papers if he hadn't been beaten up by Logan.
Now that he was fine, that was the first thing he would do. After getting the divorce, he would head to the bank to transfer the money Lucien gave him to his account.
Thinking like this, Lucien stepped into the road and flagged down a taxi. Telling the driver where he was heading, the taxi drove off.
Hours later, a taxi pulled up before a huge building and Julian alighted from the taxi, holding a document.
He had gone to the civil affairs first to finalize his divorce, signed it and took it with him to give it to Lyra to sign hers.
He didn't want to have anything to do with her any more.
After leaving the civil affairs office, he went to the bank to transfer the money into his account.
Taking in a deep breath, Julian prepared to walk into the bank when, when a mocking voice sounded,
"And look who we have here,"
"I'd assume my guards didn't really break your limbs like I instructed them to, which is why I presume you're here huh?" Logan's arrogant voice sounded, his gaze so intense that Julian could feel it at the back of his head.
Julian frowned slightly, then turned around, only to be met with the disdainful gaze of Logan and Lyra.
Seeing the two adulterous couples, Julian's expression changed but he didn't say anything and just prepared to ignore them.
"Boy, I have to thank you for letting me have your wife," Logan taunted, pulling Lyra closer and planting a kiss on her lips.
"I need to remind you just how sweet she is," Logan continued, a hint of mockery could be felt in his voice.
"I bet you haven't had her as many times as I have, in the last few days,"
"You can have her all you want, I don't really care for as much as I live," Julian spat, his gaze cold, staring at Lyra.
"I've gotten the divorce, here's yours, sign it," Julian added, and threw the divorce papers at Lyra before turning around.
Lyra's expression changed after seeing this and for a moment, felt a pang of panic in her heart as she felt as though Julian was now a different person.
"And where do you think you're going?" Lyra screamed, coming back to her senses.
"And when did I start to answer you?" Julian sneered, not stopping on his tracks and walked into the bank.
"Let's go see what he's up to," Logan smirked and alongside Lyra walked into the bank.
Julian on the other hand headed towards the counter the moment he walked into the bank.
Pulling out the bank card Lucien has given to him, he handed it to the cashier and then said,
"I want to confirm the amount inside this card and transfer it to my bank,"
"Alright sir," The cashier nodded and took the card from Julian then started to type away on the computer.
"Sir, there's a total of one billion inside this card," The cashier spoke after a while, raising her head to look at Julian, shock written all over her face.
"Would you like to continue with the transfer?" The cashier asked, her gaze still on Julian.
"Yes I..."
"Impossible," Logan's sharp voice came, interrupting the cashier as he hurried over to the counter with Lyra.
"There's no way this brat here can have so much, no absolute way," Logan shook his head, disbelief written all over his face.
Even his family assets were overall, just about five hundred million. And If it was everything, then it was just a billion.
Not more, not less. So there was no way he could even think of the fact that Julian had so much.
Lyra on the other hand stared at Julian, disbelief written all over her face. Julian had so much?
Then why didn't he tell her? Why did he hide it away from her?
"And you are?" The cashier frowned, her gaze rather unfriendly as she stared at Logan.
"Don't worry about them, just treat them as two rabid dogs that got lost," Julian spoke before Logan could reply.
"Julian, tell me where did you get such an amount of money?" Lyra questioned, her eyes scrutinizing Julian as though she wanted to force the answers out of his mouth.
Julian threw Lyra a glance and then ignored her, after which he turned away, completely ignoring her.
"How dare you ignore me, didn't you hear me talking to you?" Lyra flew into a rage seeing this, glaring at Julian, hatred written all over her eyes.
"Isn't it obvious where trash like him got so much," Logan scoffed, at the same time, snatching the card away from the cashier.
"It's obvious he stole it," He added, his eyes scanning the card in his hands as though he was trying to find some kind of evidence.
"Found it," Logan declared, spotting something on the black card.
"Julian, admit, you stole this card," Logan glared at Julian, pointing at him.
"From where exactly?" Julian asked, feeling rather amused at Logan's audacity..
"From the Browns!" Logan accused, pointing at Julian, fury written all over his face as he pointed at Julian.

Julian drove the car out of Brittany’s family compound without saying much. The quiet hum of the engine filled the air between them as the gate slowly closed behind the vehicle. Unlike most of the times Brittany had seen him arrive, this time Julian had come alone and had chosen to drive himself. The car he brought was not one of the imposing luxury vehicles that often turned heads on the street. It was a modest salon car that blended easily with ordinary traffic, the sort of vehicle most people would barely look at twice.Brittany noticed it earlier but had said nothing. Now she sat in the passenger seat, occasionally glancing sideways at him. The night breeze drifted through the slightly lowered window, carrying the distant sounds of the city settling into its evening rhythm.“So,” she said after a few minutes, unable to suppress her curiosity any longer, “where exactly are we going?”Julian did not answer immediately. One hand rested calmly on the steering wheel while the other ta
Unusual attachments
Julian walked out of the house but Brittany ran after him and stoped him, slowly she was becoming fully dependent on him. “Julian wait,” she called after him and he waited a bit. “You have done a lot for not just me but my family too, yet you don’t accept any form of gratitude at all. Who are you really?” Her eyes were bright with gratitude and her lips trembled slightly. “I just do what I have to do,” Julian had equally grown a soft spot for Brittany so he found himself interfering with matters concerning her and her family just to see her happy.”No, you don’t know what you have just done for my aunt, if your prescription is accurate, you’d have restored decorum in my family as well as my aunt’s confidence.” As she spoke, her eyes glistened with unshed tears, her voice a little thick with emotions.Julian sighed, he wanted to continue the conversation but he didn’t feel her home was the best place for it. “Join me for a ride.” Julian said, his dominantly present confidence never
Double entendre
When Julian told the cab driver his destination, he didn't argue."Who is paying please?" The driver was polite but he had seen people like Julian several times, they claimed to hire cabs to sophisticated destinations just to feel among. To him, Julian looked to poorly dressed to afford a ride, he could have easily taken a rickshaw but he didn't openly berate Julian yet."I have entered your vehicle alone, how then are you asking me that?" Julian was a bit confused. "I thought you have been asked to show up at the location by someone and are hoping on payment from them since you decided to take a cab." The man looked at Julian again through the rear view mirror and concluded that he wasn't all that at all but the confidence that Julian exuded was the reason he was still being polite with him."I am going there in my own. I am paying my bill myself." Julian had decided to take a cab because he didn't have physical cash on him to take a rickshaw. It was not as though he was proud and t

This is it
Morning light filtered through the tall glass panels of the city hospital, casting long reflections across the polished floors. The atmosphere inside was tightly controlled, yet charged with anticipation. Security personnel monitored every entrance, and hospital staff moved with unusual precision. Word had spread far beyond medical circles. What had begun as a rumor was now an event.Julian entered the primary consultation wing without ceremony. His white coat was immaculate, sleeves resting neatly at his wrists. There was no theatrical presence in his stride, no attempt to amplify the tension that already hung in the air. Lucien walked half a step behind him, reviewing the schedule one final time.“All one hundred are confirmed and pre-screened,” Lucien said quietly. “Their case files are loaded into the system, but I assume you won’t need them.”Julian’s gaze remained forward. “Open the first room.”The first patient was a middle-aged man accompanied by two younger relatives who car
