Prologue Note: The World of Oros

Welcome to the continent of Oros. In this land, your blood is your law. There are five great Kingdoms, but they are not equal.

While others command fire and the earth, the Kingdom of Elyria is considered as the weakest, it is a nation of servants and healers who live under the shadow of the warrior kings.

Power in Oros is measured from Level 1 to Level 5.

The Five Great Kingdoms

1. Kingdom of Elyria

Power: Vitality (Healing)

A level 1 healer can only fix small cuts and stop bleeding.

But a Level 5 healer can bring someone back from the edge of death.

2. Kingdom of Terran (The Earth Masters)

Power: Earth magic. They are considered the wall that never breaks.

A level 1 earth magic user can only turn their skin to become as hard as wood to block enemy hits and arrow.

But a Level 5 earth magic user can cause massive earthquakes or summon mountains.

3. Kingdom of Aquis (The Water Users)

Power: Flow. They are fast, cold, and sometimes deadly.

A Level 1 water mage can only make thick fog to hide or pull water from the air.

But a Level 5 water mage can freeze an entire harbor or pull water out of a person’s body.

4. Kingdom of Solis (The Fire Users)

Power: Heat. They are the most violent and aggressive.

A Level 1 fire user can make their hands very hot or start small fires.

But a Level 5 user caan vaporize everything within a mile by becoming a "Small Sun."

5. Kingdom of Zephyr (The Wind Users)

Power: Breath. They are the masters of the sky.

A Level 1 wind user can run twice as fast as a normal human.

But a Level 5 wind user can remove the oxygen from a battlefield, suffocating everyone.

The Sanctuary: The Rim

​Hidden at the edge of the world and built inside the massive skull of a dead titan, is where The Rim is located. It is a city of the exiles, criminals, and failed geniuses from all five kingdoms. Here, the laws of the Kings do not reach.

The Great Enemy: The Kingdom of Umbra (The "Red Ones")

Outside the borders of Oros lies a cursed land called the Crimson Wasteland. It is the home of the Umbra tribe, known as "The Red Ones"

The Red Ones do not have their own magic. Instead, they are "Empty." They must steal the blood and power of others to live.

The Sanguine Void: When a Red One cuts a person from Oros, they "drain" their level. A Level 3 magic user can be turned into a Level 1 weakling with a single touch from the Red Ones.

"They call them 'The Red Ones' not because of the color of their banners, but because by the time they leave a city, the stones, the water, and even the air are stained with the red of the people's stolen life."
