Everyone turned around, only to see a man in his fifties walking towards the scene with a frown on his face.

Seeing the man, Amelia's boyfriend's eyes widened in shock, but soon it changed to a smile, and then he left Amelia and hurried towards the man.

"Mr. Micheal, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Justin Wales." He said hurriedly, introducing himself.

But much to his shock, Micheal didn't even spare him a glance and just walked towards Jasper who was standing and looking at the scene with a broad smile on his face.

Seeing this, Justin was immediately happy as he thought that Michael was about to scold Jasper, but the next moment, his expression changed as he couldn't believe what happened next.

"Mr. Brennan, sorry for the delay. It's nice to meet you." Michael smiled and bowed a little to Jasper.

"You don't have to worry about that." Jasper waved his hands.

"Also, you can just call me Jasper next time," he added.

Micheal nodded, hearing what Jasper said, and then he added with a smile.

"Shall we?"

"No, wait a little; there's a brat here who happens to claim that he knows you and can order you to do what he wants with just a call." Jasper laughed, pointing at Justin, who was shivering by the side.

His eyes were wide in shock, and it was like he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"I would like to know if that's true, so I would be able to carry out the correct measures," Jasper added. A faint hint of threat could be felt in his last statement.

Micheal was shocked when he heard what Jasper said. He knew what the latter was trying to hint at, and thus, he was covered in sweat.

Though the hotel was a five-star hotel, it was not that powerful enough, but still, the Wales family was not powerful enough to make them answer their beck and call...

The receptionist who had attended to Jasper was covered in sweat as she felt that she was lucky not to have disrespected the latter and followed the company rules.

Else she would have lost her job. Though she didn't know who Jasper was, she could tell that from the way Michael addressed him, he was no ordinary person.

Justin, on the other hand, was covered in sweat. Though his family was powerful, his father was still going to blame him if they were to fall out with Micheal.

"I don't happen to know him." Micheal chuckled, breaking the tense silence in the atmosphere.

"He's just a brat of the Wales family and I happened to have discussed some business with his father in the past," He added.

"Oh, I see," Jasper muttered, and then turned to look at Justin.

"But I thought you said you could call him anytime you wanted. Seemed like you're nothing but all fake." He sneered and then turned to look at Amelia, whose eyes were wide open as she stared at him.

"Jasper, who are you..." Amelia stuttered as she managed to say while looking at Jasper, not knowing what to say.

She was not a fool and knew that by the way Michael, who was the manager of the company, was acting, Jasper was the owner of the hotel.

Then how the heck did she not know that? Why didn't he tell her? Why did he keep it a secret from her and allow her to wallow in poverty?

Anger bred in her heart as she thought of this.

"Jasper, you lied to me!" She yelled as she finally lost it all.

"Call the security guards and ask them to throw her out, she's hurting my ears with her yells." Jasper commanded.

"Yes sir." Micheal nodded and immediately called the security guards.

But Justin was a step ahead and quickly pulled Amelia out of the hotel.

It was going to be a blow to his reputation if his woman was to be thrown out, so he acted.

"And also, those two, send them to the hospital," Jasper commanded, turning to the two bodyguards who were lying on the floor, rolling around in pain.

He had no grudges against them and thus, he was not willing to let them be in that state.

William carried out Jasper's orders almost immediately, and the two men were soon sent to the hospital.

"Sir, let's go," Micheal said respectfully, and led the way to his office.

"What a nice place." Jasper nodded, feeling rather satisfied with the layout of the office.

"Thank you, sir." Micheal smiled and offered his seat to Jasper, but the latter refused and rather sat on the couch.

"Sir, here are the accounts on how the company is faring and others." Micheal gave Jasper a stack of files as he said.

"What am I to do with this?" Jasper looked rather amused and pushed back the files to him.

"If you were not a good manager, then you wouldn't have been able to manage the state of the company's affairs up to this level, so you can rest assured." Jasper shook his head.

It was a lot of work, so he was not going to do that. So he just shook his head and refused.

"The real reason I'm here is that I want to give you a task..." He continued.

"What is that sir?" Micheal asked, looking attentive.

"I want you to list out the things that would be needed to upgrade the hotel to a seven-star hotel."

"But, Sir, that would cost a lot of money. Upgrading the hotel to a seven-star hotel in a go would cost a lot of money, and if we are not careful, we might fail." Micheal looked at Jasper worriedly.

"Don't worry about the money, just do as I've said, I'll take care of the expenses. List them out, I'll be back in two days and then we'll discuss it." Jasper waved his hands and then stood up.

"That's all for now, I'll be taking my leave." He added and stepped out of the office.

  • The system

The System completed its sweep quietly, feeding Jasper the results in fragments he could digest without noise. The hidden buyer was no ordinary operative. Not purely corporate, not purely political, but a careful mix of both. Jasper traced the patterns, the financial networks, the soft influence, the public-facing philanthropy. The man was a senior board member of a multinational tech conglomerate. His name rarely appeared in scandal. His face was clean in every photo, every press release. Privately, he held advisory roles, quietly lobbied politicians, and maintained access no law could strip away. Yet behind that public image, he financed destabilization, acquisitions, and manipulations. The mob boss had been muscle, disposable, nothing more.Jasper sat back against the cold wall of the cell, hands resting on his thighs. He didn’t speak. He didn’t need to. The System displayed the maps, the connections, the shadow accounts, all flowing into the same hidden network.A quiet alert foll

  • Rumors

The failure of the prison raid rippled through the criminal underground faster than the mob boss could anticipate. Rumors traveled along encrypted channels, whispered by low-level operatives and repeated in hushed tones at safe houses. In those corridors, uncertainty bred panic. The strike squad’s disappearance was no accident. Someone stronger than expected was moving in the shadows—and worse, someone was watching.Jasper remained seated on the edge of his bunk, hands clasped loosely, eyes fixed on the gray wall across from him. • No noise

The holding facility sat quiet in the early hours of the night, the kind of quiet that felt manufactured. Lights hummed overhead, steady and white, washing the concrete corridors in sterile calm.
