Chapter2 First Mission
"rumble!" "rumble!" "rumble!" Arden heard jarring boomings as he witnessed individual trees tumble in the path of something massive heading in his direction. "Oh, my God!""WHAT… Th..The HELL IS THIS!" Arden yelled hysterically. In his eyes, the image reflected a huge creature three times the size of a bear, weighing around 1,800 pounds, and standing up to 10 feet tall on its fore and hind legs was galloping towards him in the midst of falling trees. The sight of the Direbrinbare made Arden shake uncontrollably in fright.Never in his entire life had he come across something as enormous, ghastly, and terrifying as he was gazing at right now. The Direbrinbare was a red-furred monster with a seal's face; its four limbs ended in sharp claws; its eyes were very small; its mouth was unusually wide; and it had two larger teeth that stretched towards its belly, as well as a scattering of smaller teeth buried within the split between its lips. "Roar!" While Arden shivered in fright, the Direbrinbare didn't stop its movement at all; it continued towards Arden, wrecking down any tree in its way. When he came back to himself, Arden scrambled away with all his might; he didn't dare look back as he ran in panic. "What the hell is this terrible monster?" "Why me? fuck you! take back your system!" "Take it back! Take it back! I don't want it!" "I prefer my old life!Crap, this is so much worse than being bullied by Max and Vince all my life!" Arden's mind was so occupied by escaping that he didn't realize he was now traveling at breakneck speed in an erratic course. Arden almost lost his breath and opened his mouth in surprise when his surroundings began to blur around him as he ripped through the woodland like a runaway train. He was moving so fast through the woods. Due to the rapidity with which his legs drove him ahead, it appeared as if he had gotten 10 separate shots of adrenaline. "Something isn't right; why am I moving so fast? how is this possible!" Arden blurted out when it finally dawned on him that he was moving faster than a cheetah, even though he was in the middle of a complex woodland area. "What the fuck? I feel so good; what's wrong with me? Could it be that the system gave me superpowers!" Arden exclaimed as he had never felt as powerful or as quick as he did just now in his entire life. As Arden ran, the Direbrinbare let out an angry growl, and it began to chase him at a tempo that looked to contradict its stocky form. Arden was taken aback by the creature's speed, which pushed him to run even faster while trying everything he could to avoid it. Unfortunately for Arden, he reached a dead end which was a disastrous turn of events for him. He kept sprinting till he came to the base of a cliff formed of fractured, eroded rocks that was covered in lush, verdant vegetation. Arden spun around after hitting the cliff's edge to see the Direbrinbare scurrying towards him with intense zeal. The monster's nails scraped the floor as it pushed its massive body forward; it charged at him, opening its jaws to display a set of twisted teeth that were inching closer and closer to piercing his flesh. Arden was startled for a second, but his innate survival instinct pushed him to react quickly, which he did by shifting his weight to his right leg and jumping out of harm's way. As he passed by the Direbrinbare, Arden had the dreadful experience of hearing it's terrible growl and felt a blast of wind pass by him before collapsing in an unwelcome heap three meters away. After scrambling to his feet, he discovered that the Direbrinbare had passed his original location and proceeded on until it crashed over the edge of the cliff. "what the hell am I gonna do now?" Arden shouted, his thought process rapidly spinning to analyze his current situation. He analyzed that despite the increase in his strength and speed, he would not be able to take on the dangerous Direbrinbare in such a straightforward manner. He wasn't holding anything that could be used as a weapon, after all. How was he going to protect himself against such a massive Direbrinbare if he didn't have a weapon? Was he going to pretend reality didn't exist while punching and kicking its huge body? What type of impact could anything like that have? His fist would be like a pebble in a pond when it came into touch with the huge body of the creature. Highly inconsequential. Suddenly,Arden heard the system's voice in his brain again as he allowed himself to be engulfed by his depressing thoughts of the worst-case scenario. [ Mission Direbrinbare survival completed. Host successfully finished the initiation mission, which required him to Survive the Direbrinbare within the given time frame.] [ Host shall be rewarded with the Lazonion Swift Blade, which will allow him to face the monster in a life and death battle] "What? Are you fucking kidding me!" The message from the voice infuriated and irritated Arden, but just then, a roar erupted, and an enraged giant Direbrinbare leaped out from the edge of the cliff and towards him once more, its jaws opened wide to bite and rip him to pieces. Arden reacted quickly and slid in the opposite direction just as the Direbrinbare was about to pounce on him. This allowed him to narrowly avoid the Direbrinbare's sharp teeth, which came dangerously close to penetrating his shoulder blade. After Arden stabilized his footing, he dashed off in the direction of the dense forest. As he was rushing in that direction, a flash of white light suddenly appeared in front of him and transformed into a blade made of steel that was extremely sharp. The blade shimmered lustrously, reflecting the blue rays from the sun into Adams' eyes."Haven't I completed your missions? Why do you give me this weapon as a reward and then a second mission to kill it? You should have just made it disappear as my reward!" Despite blurting out these words, he reached for the blade, and then he continued to flee, but the entire time he was on the run, he had been planning out in his head how he was going to kill the monster. He knew that either he or the monster had to perish the moment that it laid eyes on him. Arden swiftly made an assessment of the situation. "I only have this razor-sharp blade made of steel to fight against that Direbrinbare, which means that I need to come close when attacking it." "But the Direbrinbare's physical strength is far above mine; how do I survive its attack if I get close?" "I get it, I can take advantage of my superior speed to quickly attack and retreat, but that is not enough; my speed is not well above its; there's still a chance that its attack would reach me before I retreat." "This plan can only work if I can somehow reduce its speed." As Arden thought about this, he caught a glimpse of an area of the forest that was densely packed with tangled trees. He dashed out in that direction without hesitation, luring the Direbrinbare. "This is the perfect environment to kill it; the tangled trees would serve to slow down the Direbrinbare's movements and give me an opportunity to strike and retreat before it struck." After entering the area containing the tangled cluster of trees, Arden finally came to a stop and turned to face the Direbrinbare. Despite the fact that his chest was pounding from all of the running, his determination to survive had reached its highest possible level. The Direbrinbare charged, its gigantic bulk shook the ground with each stride it took. Arden readied himself, bringing his blade up to its right position. Just in accordance with Arden's speculation and plan, The Direbrinbare's movement was slowed by the cluster of tangled trees, and Arden was able to easily avoid being attacked by the Direbrinbare as it charged at him by leaping out of its path. The Direbrinbare crashed into multiple tangled trees which bounded its body causing it to struggle to regain its freed state. Arden capitalized on the Direbrinbare's brief pause in its attack by striking rapidly with his blade, which was illuminated by the sunshine as it slashed through the air. The Direbrinbare, however, was only scratched by Arden's blade, which only caused a minor cut on its flank. "what the fuck! I can't even injure it very well!" The Direbrinbare let forth a raging howl, the fire in its eyes indicating its extreme rage. It responded unexpectedly quickly, taking Arden by surprise by batting him away with its paws. Arden moaned in agony as his back collided with a nearby tree, and he came dangerously close to losing his hold on the blade. Arden ignored the faint gash in his gut that was created by the Direbrinbare claw scraping his stomach and the sensation that he had broken a few of his ribs after hitting the tree. From here, Arden understood that he had to be more careful whenever he attacked the Direbrinbare for a slight mistake might lead to his death. Before the Direbrinbare resumed attacking him, Arden dove deeper into the dense entangled trees and enticed the Direbrinbare even further into the dense stand of trees, which were now entwined with each other. As the Direbrinbare continued its charge, Arden moved behind a thick tree trunk and used it to shield himself from the Direbrinbare's incoming attack. The Direbrinbare's claws dug deep gouges into the bark of the tree as they scraped against it. "Nice, it's trapped!" As it got momentarily preoccupied extracting its claws from the tree, Arden was able to land another blow, this time penetrating the unguarded side of the Direbrinbare. The cut began to ooze blood, and the Direbrinbare let out a scream of agony. But, the pain that Arden caused helped to feed its wrath even further, and then it swung its paws towards Arden, aiming for his head. Arden deftly side-stepped and evaded it before moving closer to the Direbrinbare with a look of resolve on his face. "Ooh, that was close." Arden was well aware at this moment that he needed to put an end to the Direbrinbare as soon as possible, so he carefully evaluated its weakness and then targeted it. He made a strong jump forward and drove his blade deep into the Direbrinbare's heart, causing it to let out a resounding howl that could be heard throughout the entire forest. After releasing its final squeal, the Direbrinbare was unable to catch its next breath and eventually collapsed. "phew!" Arden heaved a sigh of relief right after the Direbrinbare collapsed before him. When he heard the Direbrinbare letting out a series of loud roars that echoed loudly in his ears, Arden's heart almost leaped out of his chest as he feared that the Direbrinbare was going to attack him with an even greater level of ferocity. He was taken aback by the Direbrinbare's quick collapse because he had been preparing himself for the worst possible outcome, but, on some level, he was happy that he had survived in the end. Arden was breathing heavily and his blade was covered in the blood of the Direbrinbare. He had emerged victorious from the battle, his skill and cunning have allowed him to defeat a powerful adversary with nothing more than a sharp blade and the woods that were surrounding him. "What now?" Arden mumbled. Since he had successfully killed the Direbrinbare, he had anticipated hearing from the system but, even after waiting for two minutes, all he heard was the sound of the wind blowing and the swaying of leaves from the trees surrounding him."Nothing?" "Seriously""You told me to kill the damn Direbrinbare, right? "What exactly does this silence mean? The Direbrinbare is now dead, so why have you not responded?" Arden rumbled, but it appeared as though he was wasting his breath because none of his words were met with even a trace of response, it was just icy silence. Arden ran for a substantial amount of time until he got breathless and rested behind a nearby tree when he began to feel exhausted. Arden was observing his surroundings very carefully while he sat still and deep in concentration behind the tree. As the sun began to send its last rays before going down, a melancholy mood descended upon the scene. "I managed to kill the Direbrinbare, but I am now heavily injured; how am I going to treat my injury? I don't know." "to make things worse, the fucking system has forsaken me; it looks like I have no hope of survival now; you should have just left me to die instead of bringing me into this hopeless situation." "KRrrrrr" While he was still immersed in his thoughts, Arden heard a loud croaking sound in his ears. The origin of the sound seemed to be close to him, as a result, he was able to hear it very clearly. "WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT" Arden's heartbeat immediately quickened; he wasn't prepared to face another beast, nor was he in good enough shape to do so.Latest Chapter

Chapter310: System Alart!!
Chapter 310: System Alart!! Inside the silent obsidian halls of the underground relic, the air was thick with the scent of ancient dust and the sharp, metallic tang of the Scorpion Empire’s polished bronze armor. King Lue stood at the center of his vast army, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Arden. The panic that had gripped his soldiers moments ago had turned into a stiff, defensive arrogance. "Emperor Arden," King Lue began, his voice carrying the practiced weight of a monarch. "You’ve made quite an entrance. May I ask why you’ve seen fit to shatter the ceiling of our sanctuary? We are in the middle of a global catastrophe, and you are wasting energy attacking allies." Arden didn't even flinch. He let out a dry, mocking laugh that echoed off the runic pillars. "Allies? Is that what you call yourselves now, Lue? I didn't come here to play diplomat. I came here because I sensed a group of rats scurrying in a hole while the rest of the world was out there bleeding."

Chapter 309: The Underground Relic The air around the campfires, which had briefly been filled with the warmth of reunion, turned bone chillingly cold the moment King Lue’s betrayal was laid bare. Viniar’s fire flickered with a dark, jagged edge, and Emma’s golden gauntlets hummed with a low, predatory vibration. The atmosphere in the Resofasion land was no longer one of simple victory; it was now heavy with the suffocating weight of an impending judgment. "That spineless snake," Galva spat, slamming his fist into a nearby crate of supplies. "We were out there bleeding for the world, and he was busy playing hide and seek with a blue crystal? I’ll peel that scorpion armor off him myself!" Arden didn't speak immediately. He stood with his eyes closed, his mind racing back to the moment he had first breached the central continent's atmosphere. He remembered the vast sweep of his life force sensory ability, the way it had combed through the terrain like a fine-tooth comb.
