Chapter 27 : Expectation

"What's your name?" I inquire calmly.

"Um, it's Liara, sir," she responds, still visibly shaken.

"Liara, do you understand how to control your abilities?" I ask.

"Stop trying to make excuses! Haven't you already admitted that you're not yet proficient with your power? You almost killed us today!" One of the young master's lackeys interjects, attempting to paint Liara as more guilty. Liara quickly retorts, "No! I didn't do it! You're lying—"

"Hah, what the heck are you saying? Everyone here saw you. Isn't that right, everyone?"
