At another part of Erindor

Trinity stared down at the unconscious Jason, hatred and disgust consuming her. She grabbed him and teleported to the bay area.

The cold wind against his face woke him up. The first thing he saw was the crashing of waves beneath him.

“No! Oooh!”

“Aiya!” Trinity sneered and let go of him. His screams resounded as he fell into the sea with a mighty splash.

“Trash like you dared to hurt my master? I will have to remind you where the trash belongs.”

The sea was ice cold, and water was rapidly filling Jason’s mouth. Despite being a good swimmer, his limbs remained immobile.

It could be fear, it could also be because whoever grabbed him did something to him. Despair, confusion, fear, all formed a horrifying mix in his mind. Something blinked a few meters away from where he was struggling.

His heart jumped. A mighty fish? Shark!

Screams tumbled out of his lips. However, the sea water rushing into his mouth muffled the sound.

A low trumpeting sound came from the giant fish and he began to struggle with all his might, trying to escape. But the fish was faster.

He felt something clamp down on his little pinky, making pain, horror and dread consume him whole.

Blood spread from the injury, which was sure to attract more dangerous fishes. Whatever bit his pinky…

Fear consumed him. ‘No. I can't die like this. I can't. I won't be fish feed.’

The more he gave himself pep talk, the more the fishes surrounding him increased in number, causing a mini tornado which made him sink faster.

Just as he was losing all hope, something picked him out of the water, and he found himself floating in the air again.

He looked up and saw Trinity’s ghost face, making a startled scream escape his lips.

“Please, don't kill me. I will pay you. How much do you want? Ten times what whoever placed the bounty paid. Please spare me. I have money.”

The hatred in Trinity's heart turned her eyes several shades darker. It was no surprise Jason was saying the exact same thing Nancy said a while ago. The rotten couple came from the same mold.

People like them who only see money as important were the worst.

“Money?” The ghost face replied in a childish pitch. “Is that money yours? Didn't you get it by sleeping around and scheming? I don't accept dirty money.”

“What do you mean?”

As if to answer his question, Trinity smashed him against the rail of an anchored ship.

Screams tumbled out, and he began to shed tears from the humiliation and pain.

Trinity made a disgusted face. She couldn't believe that Nancy chose this waste who couldn't endure the slightest hardship, over her master who was willing to move heaven and earth for her sake.

However, she was happy Xavier saw their true colors at this point. Otherwise he would have continued to be a dutiful husband, only for Nancy to sneer behind his back, treating him like a super bankrolling simp.

And this Jason always aiming to reap where he didn't sow would be right there to manipulate and make things worse.

With their betrayal, his master would unseal his cultivation and return to his rightful place.

That doesn't mean she would let Jason and Nancy have an easy time though. She was the type that was unwilling to take a single loss. For daring to treat Xavier like that, she would return all the pain he felt to them with interest.

Jason vomited blood the second time Trinity flung him against the ship's rail, convulsing intensely.

Trinity grabbed him just as he was about to crash back into the water surface, pulling him out.

Jason gasped, tears rolling down unbidden. He had never suffered like this all his life. Whoever this was, never intended on letting him die easily.

Her plan was probably to shatter all his bones before killing him. Hatred, agony and despair, consumed him whole.

“Big brother, it seems you're not enjoying it. This won't do. Aren't you happy I'm playing with you?”

Jason gasped, and sputtered, blood and loose teeth spewing out.

“Since you don't like this, let me take you somewhere you will enjoy.”

Dread coursed through his veins like lava, and his bladder felt full.

In a minute, they found themselves atop a bustling center.

“Bro, guess where we are…” The childish voice which should have sounded cute at other times were like Lucifer's echoes to Jason's ears.

“We're at the gay red light district in Zuba. Those rich uncles would love your round white butt a lot. They might even give you tips.”

Jason's heart sank. If what he thought he felt before was despair, this was despair raised to power hundred. He was plunged straight to the deepest depths of hell, with no exit in sight.

“No please. No. Anything but this.”

However, Tiffany had already handed him over to the waiting man, and disappeared.

Back at the abandoned factory, Trinity landed beside Nancy.

After the water dunking torture, Nancy had fallen unconscious. She scoffed and picked her up.

“I'm known for being fair. Since I sent your little lover to enjoy himself, I can't let you feel left out.”

She woke her up with a slap. The first thing Nancy saw was the ghostly face, and her screams resounded all around.

“Let's go.”

Trinity reappeared above a bridge, Nancy looked down and saw tens of dirty male beggars sleeping under the bridge. A thought occurred to her and her heart nearly exploded in her chest.

“No. Don't.”

“Brothers!” The childish voices rang out, waking the beggars up. “The night is cold. Want some compa…”

Trinity’s watch began to vibrate at that point, distracting her. She pressed a button, answering the summon.

“Trinity, the boss has woken up. Abort mission. Return to the base now.”

  • Meaning of despair

Nancy’s heart jumped. Regret, horror, and indescribable fear chewed her whole. Just when she was sure she would splatter against the concrete floor, turning into meat paste without even a complete corpse, a miracle happened. A leg casually caught her, making her hang off it mid air. Nancy froze, then gasped, wondering why her fall got bridged. Her mid section was on a dainty outstretched leg. Her current position was undignified, most importantly, she couldn't understand how a casually outstretched leg could balance her weight. It didn't matter, all that did was that a savior had arrived. She gasped and grabbed the leg to balance herself, looking up to see her benefactor. A scream of horror escaped her lips. It was that same ghostly face haunting her. The ghost had a pair of childish pig tails, dressed in leather trenchcoat and trousers, with weapons strapped to her…a complete assassin's gear. She grinned at Nancy and waved at her, batting her lashes. A scream escaped her lips a

Crescent Waves Corporation. “Zenith group hasn't replied till now. What could be wrong? They normally got back to us within twenty-four hours. They can't be changing their minds, right?” Nancy was incredibly worried as she stared intently at the computer screen, waiting for the confirmation email. Jason patted her shoulder. “Don't worry, they will reply. They were the first to reach out, why will they back out now?”Nancy wasn't convinced, for some reason dread filled her heart. She felt hollow, it was as if something huge and unfavorable was going to happen to her. “Zenith is a big group, and there are rumors it's connected to that mysterious Dominion consortium. Crescent Wave is a new company that just rose to fame. What if they decide to work with others?”“I have someone at Zenith, I will pull strings to get you the contact. Don't worry.” Jason pinched her cheek with a soft smile, and she looked up at him. “You're still the best.” He leaned down and took her lips in a consuming

  • Unleashing the kraken

The military Jeep was speeding across the highway. The siren and the presence of uniformed soldiers riding in open trucks meant that other drivers cleared off the road as they hurried towards the Ravencrest temporary base at Serene hills, Xavier's private estate. Trinity, the auburn haired woman dressed in black leather combat attire was holding Xavier's hand, tears dripping steadily down her face. It was truly a strange sight. The deadly Trinity who single handedly killed a hundred top assassins on her own at sixteen, who never showed weakness and struck without mercy, the legendary goddess that could call down storms at will, was crying. Xavier's face was pale, totally white and he lay lifeless inside his Rolls-Royce Phantom. The seats were adjusted into a makeshift bed for him, and Trinity knelt beside him, holding his hand. “Big brother, you can't leave me. Please stay strong, we're almost there.”Therion, Xavier's left lieutenant, one of the seven members of his Heavenly Man

  • Daydreaming

Nancy felt her head spinning, the world around her turned blurry. Mocking words and whispers from the guests she had invited to show off permeated the room like poison. “What just happened now?”“What do you think? The people that just arrived to pick him up mentioned that she cheated on him. He must have discovered she cheated, so she wanted to kill him to hush it up.”“It must be with Jason Marlowe. I knew that bastard was up to no good, always hanging around someone else's wife like flies to rotten eggs.”“Damn! Women are vicious.”“She wasn't the one who pushed him. It seemed to be that man beside her.”“This is crazy. I can't believe she would do this after all he had done for her.” The heiress of a fashion line whispered to her friend, shaking her head. “I knew her since college, she was from an impoverished middle class family. But after she married him, he gave her his company and turned her life for the better. Who would have expected she would treat her savior like this?”

  • I will make you pay

Nancy frowned, staring at him. Didn't Xavier love her the most? At this point, he should have been trying to make Ethan choose him, not asking for divorce. His indifference made her angry, but she held it inside and left to bring the documents. She had been used to being treated like royalty before him. No man had pampered her the way he had, even after he lost his legs. Seeing him detached unexpectedly made her unhappy. She was the one made to kick him away, while he should be the one clinging onto her. Jason laughed the moment Nancy left. “How do you like this surprise, Mr. Genius CEO? No, you're no longer a CEO. You merged your company with Crescent waves, and resigned to take care of my son.”He laughed again, his lips curving disdainfully. “I have seen many simps, but none was quite stupid as you.”He leaned closer to him. “Nancy has never loved you, she's mine, had always been. The kidney you thought you gave her is in my belly, the son you raised is also mine. I bet you mu
