"Yes, young master Jaxon! The old patriarch even said if you returned he would immediately hand over the head of the family position to you and all the family companies and properties!"

In front of the man called Jaxon was a dark, sleek, Roll Royce Phantom EWB and beside it were two elderly men in suits bowing to him with a frantic expression on their faces.

Jaxon on the other hand was dressed in ordinary flip-flops and holding a bag of cabbages with an expressionless face while looking at the people before him.

"Hmph, go back? You only think about me now of all times? After everything?" He sneered.

He could never forget the scene of being framed and kicked out of the Lathwyn family and now they came back to beg him to help them? After all those humiliations they finally remembered him in their desperate times?

"I do not want to ever see you people close to me again!" Jaxon commanded as he strolled past those men, leaving them in their position with sad faces.

"Young master Jaxon! If you encounter any issues we are always available!" One of the old men shouted with an unwilling look.

"Jaxon! How long will it take you to get me a bag of cabbages, vegetables and carrots?!"

As soon as he finally reached home, he spotted his mother-in-law inside the parlour, seemingly waiting for him with an impatient and angry look.

"I am sorry Mother for keeping you waiting, I encountered some issues while coming and had to settle it before..."

"Stop making excuses! What can you, a mere loser deal with even if it is still in its toddler phase? Give me the bag and get out of my face and don't ever call me mother again as I can never give birth to a loser like you. Wait, I change my mind, take the damn bag and go prepare the food within 40 minutes and then sweep the floor!" Xing Weiwei yelled with anger on her face as she waved Jaxon away from her presence like a fly.

"Yes, yes, I will go do it right away." Jaxon bowed his head with sadness in his heart as he headed towards the kitchen while keeping his natural expression.

The Xing family which he lives is a second-grade family or clan in Ivory Country. 4 years and 11 months ago Jaxon was brought into the Xing family while in a coma state and Jiang Xing, the head of the Xing family personally organized a wedding between him and his daughter immediately after he woke up.

The wedding remained the talk of the town for weeks as it was one between Jiang Xing's most beautiful daughter and a nobody who was picked by the Xing family.

The beauty and the dog shit was very popular with the upperclassmen people back then as it was a hilarious wedding according to them.

Unknowingly, Jaxon's identity was bigger than they expected.

He belonged to one of the top three organisations in Ivory Country and had almost died back then due to their betrayals and his family contribution too, not only that but he is also from a super rich family.

Back then, due to Jiang Xing knowing of Jaxon's secret identity, he begged Jaxon to marry into his family and help him protect his family for five years which Jaxon accepted as a form of repaying the gratitude of saving him.

After the marriage and despite people calling them couples, Jaxon knew he and Jiang Xing's daughter, Diana Xing (an odd name for a Chinese.) hardly ate, slept or even touched each other hands which Jaxon didn't mind, but, after the dead of Jiang Xing, things change, his mother-in-law suddenly turn cold to him and start doing everything possible to humiliate him, slowly tearing away his dignity.

Jaxon, despite not liking such treatment already got accustomed to it and faced his work in the kitchen while thinking of something.

Not too long after, Diana Xing returned home, not even sparing Jaxon more than 2 seconds' gaze, she greeted her mother and headed towards her room then took a shower and put on her robe, with a tired expression she headed towards her window and sat down with her hand supporting her chin while looking outside.

The moonlight shone down on her, illuminating her skin and giving her a fairy-like appearance.

Sadly, Diana wasn't in the mood to appreciate her beauty as her expression was currently of someone in a complicated issue.

"Sigh, what have I done? I wished I had someone to give me the feeling of being secure." She muttered as she slowly moved towards her mirror, looking at her reflection with a complicated expression.

"Just imagine the Kings and Queens Jewellery House bullying me? Even a lowly Prince Fashion Design House and Royal Estate Firm are bullying me and I can't... I can't..." Diana choked on her words as tears filled her eyes.

She subconsciously thought of her husband in the kitchen cutting vegetables while most of her friends' husbands were top executives in different companies, standing tall and proud.

"Dinner is prepared, Diana."

Suddenly a voice says from behind her.

Turning around, she saw Jaxon leaning on the door with his hand folded, not knowing how long he had been watching her.

"Can't you knock before entering?" Diana yelled as she quickly wiped her face with an embarrassed look, "Get lost!"

"Mother told me to call you for dinner," Jaxon says as he looks at her teary eyes and adds, "Are you in trouble? Do you need help?"

Hearing those words which Diana felt was very ridiculous as Jaxon was someone without even a single dime and was spoonfed by her family asking her if she needed his help.

"Help?" Diana mutters with a weak and tired smile on her face, "What kind of help can you render when it involves strong and influential people?"

"Do you think someone like you being picked from nowhere by my dad and forced to marry me has anything to help me with? Like I always say, we are people from different dimensions now get lost and don't BOTHER ME!"

To Diana, the five-year marriage contract has been a torture and a humiliating tag on her that she couldn't get rid of.

"Huh? What is happening here?! Jaxon bastard! Did you harass my daughter?! I will call the cops on you, you lowly thing that doesn't know how to make money rather you glue on others!"

Hearing her daughter's loud roar, Weiwei Xing who quickly climbed up the stairs yelled with a bottle of drink in her hand.

"I didn't do anything to..."

"Bullshit!" Weiwei Xing yelled, cutting Jaxon, "Do you think I will believe a scum like you!"

"A scum that relies on the wife for salary to feed!"

"A scum that can't even provide for this family!"

"A scum that should be lifting us up but instead is our source of humiliation."

Whenever Weiwei Xing thinks of the contract and how their lives are going down she always gets angry, subconsciously she throws the bottle of wine in her hand towards Jaxon who lightly shifts his head, making the bottle past him and smash into the wall, breaking into pieces, thankfully there wasn't any content inside.

"How dare you dodge that bottle?! Pick it up!" She let out in a shouting voice.

_Sigh._

Jaxon sighed inwardly as he bent down to pick up the glasses, thinking back to the woman's words, he subconsciously clenched his hand, making the broken glasses in his hand dig into his flesh and injure him.

"You better prepare to divorce my daughter! Remaining one month before the contract marriage reaches its final date!" Weiwei Xing yelled.

"One month?" Jaxon mutter.

Indeed, what would be the reason for her asking for him to divorce her immediately if not for the money in the bank?

He remembers Jiang Xing stating that there are some amounts of money in the bank which will be handed to Jaxon and Diana after their marriage reaches 5 years and if not, then it will only be given to Diana.

"Who are you asking that question!" Weiwei yelled again as she heard Jaxon murmuring.

"Mom! Enough, please! Jaxon didn't do anything to me." Finally, Diana couldn't resist stepping in for Jaxon.

"Hmph! I don't care! Whether he did or not! He must leave my family before that one month ends!"
