CHAPTER EIGHT

We finally to put our plan into motion after Maggie nearly had a nervous breakdown after realizing her people were only about three planets away.

Talon was ready to do his computer things. And Twelve was also ready to go and get my ship wherever they put it. But that was for him to figure out. I was good with my part of the plan.

Make sure Talon reaches the control room and then we can bust our asses out of this godforsaken place. Not to forget Maggie will keep the guards distracted by whatever she will come up with.

All I was hoping for was for the plan to work. Or will die. Well, I needed to only make sure I survive what was coming our way. Look after me.

But I also didn’t want them to die. I still have doubts about trusting them into helping me find the infinite stones. Not my idea, but it seemed pretty fear. Hence, I needed them all live because they all have their special skills.

Mostly Talon. He is a cat and yet he can do wonders. What he did with the forks was impressive enough to tell me what I needed to know about him.

But as I said, I will keep a close eye on all of them. If they even think about betraying me, I will kill them before Xenda finds a chance to do that.

I sighed as I looked at Talon, who stood in front of the bars to the cell. Holding his matching to the lock. You can never be too ready. So we might as well go on with what we are doing.

“What the hell are you waiting for? Let’s get this over with before the princess here dies with fear?” I teased, and she just punched my shoulder.

The all place was made of metal. Nothing looked to be wood or sad. All metal. And they pained it in the stupidest colors ever. Gray and yellow.

And I don’t have my armour at the moment. So I need to make sure I don’t slam the floor or allow any of them to punch me to the point of me slamming the floor or the ways. I need to fight dirt.

“I’m working on it, human. They need to be far away from this place. They need to be that side of the cells. That will buy as time to move to the elevator,” he argued.

I just looked down. Wondering how he was able to think beyond me. He was smart and that might be the reason I take him in my team.

“Giving Twelve time to leave and get the ship to the gate. Waiting for friends to come,” Twelve spoke, looking at Talon with comparison in his eyes.

“You are sweet. And that is why I didn’t kill you. You need to make sure you don’t die. Use what I taught you okay,” Talon spoke. Like a father to a son. Or a pet and the owner.

“Yes Talon. And make sure Talon doesn’t die,” he spoke and stood beside him.

These people would betray me even if they wanted to. People this cute wouldn’t do that to me. They love each other and will welcome anyone that acts nice to either of them.

Twelve was the nicest. He just called us friends, and we just met. That too in prison. Sweet human.

Talon took another calming breath and blast the lock. Then he gestured for me to break it because he couldn’t reach the top.

And then just as the bars opened, an alarm went off and all the cells opened. Not what we planned, but this will even work better. This place is full of crazy psychopath that were hungry to beat the guard for whatever reason.

“Let’s go. What are you waiting for?” I called and went running outside.

Because of the new turn of events, Maggie followed Twelve to get the ship while me and Talon went running to where the control room was.

And the psychopaths fought with each other as well. Braking each other into pieces. Gut splashing on us as we run.

I grabbed a blue glowing sword from one guard and sliced open the creature that was running towards us. It’s black blood bathing us.

“Couldn’t you have done that cleaner?” Talon asked as he jumped and did a perfect flip in the air as he stubbed the danger he took from one prison on top of the head of the guard that stood at the door.

“Like that, human,” he spoke.

“My name is Trevor, cat,” I called as I slid, then he jumped. Cutting off the legs of one guard while Talon sliced off his elephant’s nose and the damn thing fall on my face.

“Seriously?”

He just gestured as he pointed at the elevator that was ten cells away from us.

But about five guards came running from nowhere. And they were covered in nothing but blood of different colors. To the point of making out a rainbow.

“Hey assheads,” Talon spoke with a smirk on his face. “What’s cooking?”

“That is so lame,” I said for only him to hear. “We are on your side. We just want to help you get them into control. He is good at that,” I pointed at Talon.

“That was better?” He whispered to me.

“Well...”

They all removed their guns and pointed them at us.

“Well?” Talon spoke and threw his dagger at the guards as they fired their guns.

I just went running towards them. There is no turning back now. Dogging and ducking anything they sent at us. Talking about the freaking cat, he was moving from one cell to the other. Jumping to the walls and the bars.

I slid and kicked one of them in the ankles. The damn thing fail flat on its elephant face. Then he got the gun and fired at the one that was seconds away from shooting at me.

It burst into a million pieces. It’s gut splashing all over me again. I needed my armour as soon as possible before this crap gets I to my eyes. And much less my mouth.

Just as I stood up to shoot the one that stood before me. Talon cut him in half.

“Talon three, Trevor two,” he smiled at me.

He is a crazy cat, and I might just like to keep him as my pet.

Just as the elevator opened. My eyes met someone I never expected to meet here.

Shit, just got real.
