Chapter 1
Chapter 01
“This is so you can learn your place! Got it?” Kayle Jamerson demanded through gritted teeth as he kicked Brandon in the stomach, while this one laid on the ground. Kayle reached down and grabbed Brandon’s hair, forcing him to look up. “Answer me when I talk to you, idiot!”
He shoved Brandon hard to the ground and nodded for the others to finish the job as he walked away and lit a cigarette. As the others kicked, punched, and laughed at Brandon, Kayle felt his chest heat up. He hated being second in whatever it was, and if that slob of a guy thought he could humiliate the great Kayle Jamerson like that, he was sorely mistaken!
When they were satisfied, Kayle and his gang left, laughing, while Brandon lay sprawled on the ground, bleeding from the cuts on his face and his body aching. This wasn’t the first beating he’d taken from Kayle and the others, but this time they’d gone too harsh.
‘I have to get up…’, he told himself. And it wasn’t just to maintain some dignity, but because he had a part-time job, and when he glanced at the watch on his wrist —with the cracked glass— he let out a sigh. Yes, the accessory was broken. ‘That’s just great!’
Brandon stood up, feeling like he was all broken. Not far from the truth, after all. But there was no time to cry, not when he had to earn his living. He struggled to his feet, picked up his backpack from the ground, placed it on his injured shoulder, and dragged his ruined body to the ‘Chicken Sour & Grill’. The restaurant was only a few blocks away.
"What the hell, kid?" Mr. Shelman asked, hands on his hips as he stared at his employee's bruised face. "Look, I don't give a damn. Go change your clothes and get to the salon! The place is crawling with customers!"
"Yes, sir," Brandon said, and even speaking was painful. He went to the locker room, opened his bag, took out his uniform, and changed. It took him a little longer than usual, due to the pain he was in.
After washing his face, he looked at himself in the mirror and the sight was pitiful. If he were a customer, he definitely wouldn't want to be served by someone who looked like that.
"I wish it was just the way I look," he sighed because his body felt awful. His deep blue eyes were now ringed with red and purple marks. He shrugged and, after drying his face, went to work.
Carrying plates and trays was hard to bear when you were broke, but Brandon was never one to whine. He worked, and he worked hard. According to his friend Gregory, that was one of the reasons the big guys picked on him: jealousy.
‘You’re very smart and hard-working. Some people can’t stand that. But don’t worry, things will get better one day,’ was what Gregory used to say, and Brandon clung to that. Things would get better eventually, wouldn’t they?
He wasn’t just in pain, he was also distracted, and of course, that couldn’t be a good combination. He felt a terrible twinge in his wrist, and then water from the tray splashed onto a customer.
“What the hell? Have you lost your mind?” the customer asked, standing up, grabbing her napkin, and trying to dry herself. She was sitting with another woman, and they were clearly upper-class people.
“I’m sorry, ma’am!” Brandon tried to apologize, but the blonde woman glared at him.
“Sorry? Apologies aren’t enough!” she yelled and slapped him hard across the face. “This dress costs ten thousand dollars, you idiot!”
Mr. Shelman walked over and tried to calm the woman down, sending Brandon to the back of the restaurant. He knew the woman was lying about the price of the dress. It was pretty obvious, but he had to try to defuse the situation.
Brandon could still feel the sting of the client’s hand on his cheek, and he waited for Mr. Shelman in the hallway outside the office. Once the two of them entered, the stocky, brown-eyed man clicked his tongue and looked Brandon over before shaking his head and sighing.
"Look, I'm sorry, but this can't go on like this. You always show up here with cuts and bruises and it's none of my business what you do outside of here, but it's interfering with your work. This isn't the first time and I know it won't be the last."
"Mr. Shelman, please..." Brandon tried, but the man wouldn't listen.
"Sorry, kid. Leave your apron here, along with your uniform, grab your things and go. Come back tomorrow to pick up your check."
Mr. Shelman looked at Brandon and left the office. Brandon sighed deeply. Great, now he was out of a job. Brandon worked hard, and never took a day off, but one mistake and he was out!
'The perfect end to a shitty day,'
He got on a bus heading home and as he was turning the key in the door, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and placed it between his shoulder and ear.
"Yeah?" he said, closing the door behind him and holding the phone properly. After hearing what the person on the other end of the line wanted, he frowned.

The Almighty Heir's Return Wanda is mine
After Peter was dropped off at a house with Ashford security, Gideon went to the hospital to visit Wanda. Her father was there and when Matteo saw his future son-in-law, he decided to talk to him."Ah, Friedrich, can we have a word before you go into Wanda's room?"“Yes, of course, Mr Grayson.” He answered and the two sat on some benches farther away, where there were no people around.“I'll be direct, okay? Wanda and you… Are you really going to get married? I mean, are you a real couple?”Matteo Grayson's question made Gideon frown. He didn't understand why that man decided to ask him something like that.“Yes, we’re going to get married. And yes, we are a real couple. Wanda is the woman of my life, Mr Grayson.”“It's just… She came up with these questions about me forcing her to marry another man if she didn't marry you. I know you've been through the odds and ends, but did anything else happen? Something I don't know about?""No. Wanda is the love of my life, the woman I want to s

The Almighty Heir's Return We need to go
Peter was very competent at what he did and Gideon was thoughtful as he watched the boy working on what he had been asked to do.'If he had had more opportunities, maybe today he would be much better off in life', he thought and looked at Brandon, who didn't take his eyes off Peter.Brandon was worried. He knew that if he didn't hear from the Clan, he would be forced to travel, but without being sure about Krasner’s death, he couldn't afford that luxury. He would be risky and falling again from the mad doctor's hands would be certain death. It wasn't that Brandon feared dying. No, he was not afraid of death. Not when it came to himself. But if he was captured and killed, Gideon and Lucy would be after him for sure and they would most likely suffer the same fate. And that Brandon could never risk."I got it!" Peter announced and started rummaging around. “Their initial system is rudimentary, but despite that, it's all well done and protected. Afterwards, the bastards managed to put up

The Almighty Heir's Return Here, boy
“So, boy. Here's the thing: we need you to hack a system for us. We are without our agent at the moment and I heard that you are a formidable hacker.” Gideon said as he popped a piece of gum into his mouth. He didn't smoke, never had, but when he got too nervous, he liked to chew gum.The boy adjusted his glasses again and looked at Gideon, still amazed.“Yeah… Is this some kind of test?” he asked and Gideon rolled his eyes."I'm not a cop trying to catch you with your hand in the cruse." Gideon sighed. “I need you to get into that system. I need to know if a person is still alive.”“Look, then I think you should go to the police. I am not…"“Enough with the small talk, boy!” Gideon said and approached the boy, who took a few steps back until he bumped into a trash can in the street and almost fell with it. But Gideon caught him by the collar of his shirt. "I need it now. I will pay you well for this.”Peter remembered the wad of cash his father was given and didn't doubt that the man

The Almighty Heir's Return It can't be
Gideon was in the hospital room with Wanda, reading one of her favorite books for her, Jane Eyre, when his cell phone rang.“Just a moment, my love.” Gideon asked, raising one finger and Wanda, who was more than pale in the face and smiled slightly, in agreement.Outside Wanda's ward, Gideon answered the phone.“Hi, Bro. What is going on?""Rindley still hasn't been found, but we have a plan." Brandon said on the other end of the line and Gideon listened intently.Upon entering back the room, Wanda was more than awake, looking at Gideon.“I'm going to have to leave for a few moments, honey.” He told her softly.“Gideon… You don't have to go through with this.” She said and sighed. “Our marriage is a sham. You don't have to keep coming here.”He frowned at her and walked over to the bed, sitting in the chair and taking her hand in his.“Do you think I would risk dying for you if I didn't like you?” he asked with an offended tone. “Fuck, I dare say I love you, Wanda!”He notices when he

The Almighty Heir's Return Problems
“It means we have no way of contacting the Clan?” Brandon asked Lucy. He was sitting in a hospital bed, his torso getting wrapped in gauze, while he talked to Lucy on the phone. “I’ll try to find another way. I’ll call Rindley again.” “Ok, love.” Brandon answered and smiled. “I love you, Lucy. And I’m sorry for dragging you into all those problems.”“It is not your fault, baby. Actually, if not for me, you’d have never gone into that trouble.” Lucy said, since Brandon decided to start training because of her, then, he got ‘murdered’ because of her as well. “We were made in heaven.” Brandon laughed, feeling a sting on his flank. The adrenaline was not high anymore running through his veins. The doctor wanted to give him morphine, since he had a great wound on his side, but he denied it, with fear it might make him vulnerable.“Keep still, Brandon! I can hear you’re in pain!” Lucy nagged. “I’ll call my brother.” She finished the call with Brandon, but her heart was clenching, as if

The Almighty Heir's Return Celebration
"My children!" Gareth smiled and spread his arms wide, as if genuinely happy to see the twins and their mates."Father!" Gideon said and broke into a huge smile. “We have something new and we wanted to come and tell you in person.”Gareth looked from one to the other, and then, the four raised their hands and the rings gleamed in the ambient light. Gareth widened his eyes and raised his eyebrows.“Did you get married?” he asked, surprised."Yes! We couldn't take it anymore. After everything that happened, we decided it was necessary. I had no reason to keep putting it off.” Brandon spoke and sounded very calm.“Then… Then we need to celebrate!”For Brandon, it was very strange to have to look at that man who was in his biological father's body, but in reality, he was nothing more than a crazy doctor, capable of anything to put the crazy creations of his mind into action.A party was arranged and the four had to pretend that everything was fine, that they were a happy family.“So, any

What can I say? I'm speechless for real. Starting from the first few chapters, its really intriguing and captivating. The characters and the story plot makes me wan' read more. The novel is time worthy and recommendable.

Fantastic book until the chapters started repeating (wasting money) leaving us hanging with respect to capturing the bad guys, tie up loose ends, and the happily ever after. I hope this updates correctly soon. It would only take 10 or so new chapters to bring to conclusion. Very disappointing!
