loot

As the clone came out of the dungeon, it went straight to the original Alex and got absorbed by him.

Alex sat there, the fire was burning and the fragrance of meat was still fresh.

"D-Ranked dungeon, it was written in the books I read in the library that it would usually take a whole party to clear but I am a C-Rank. So, it is relatively safe for me."

And there is also the loot that the clone didn't pick up," he said as he looked thoughtfully at the circular gate and he could see the edges were emitting green light.

"It was white before, now it's green, it must indicate the probability of dungeon break. it must be because it has been cleared and there was not enough mana collected for a dungeon break."

"Well, I have to go for the loot, and I should also inspect the gate that opens on the other side." He mumbled as he stood up and expressionlessly looked at the gate, hands behind his back and wind blowing his hair to the right. making a dramatic scene that would attract the lookers and invite artists to gain purpose.

Alex levitated up and directly passed through the portal. he was familiar with everything after getting the memories from the clone, and as he passed through he made 10 clones, these clones were a little unique as they only had 50% of his strength.

But they didn't need to have too much strength as Alex only needed them to collect the loot, not to fight.

The clones had inherited his intentions and immediately got to work and Alex started to walk straight to the goblin settlement. he ambled ahead like an old man in the park.

On the way, he saw a few cores and a book lying there. he stopped and picked them up with telekinesis. his face turned a little strange as he looked around at the same time.

"Strange, where are the bodies? and there is not even a drop of blood," He said as he looked at the book, a blue screen appeared before him. it had a simple description and the option to learn the ability.

'(Power slam) D-Rank ability book'

"Slam into the enemy to deal damage, trash," he commented with disgust but didn't throw it away and continued. "Well, no matter I can delete it after learning it to strengthen myself."

He pressed the learn option on the blue screen that appeared, and the book broke into particles of light that got absorbed in his body.

Now, he could see an additional ability in the ability section. power slam, but he didn't need it as he had Replication and telekinesis, they were enough as they could be used in a myriad of ways and were more versatile than a skill, such as this.

"There has to be a skill like teleportation or something for it to be worthy of being learned," he mumbled as his thoughts wandered about.

Anyone who hears it would have shouted at him for being so arrogant but a concept and a special ability like telekinesis gave him the potential to be arrogant.

Alex then looked at the three cores that read D-Rank cores, he saw the option to absorb and clicked it at once and one of the orbs got absorbed by the same method of turning into light particles.

He could feel a very small amount of mana course through his body and he ignored it as it was truly a negligible amount. he was going to do the same with the other cores but remembered the description of telekinesis and his absorption of the clones.

He tried to reach out a strand of his soul strength by using telekinesis and tried to absorb the core by connecting it to the orb.

Then like a child sucking through a straw, the core was reduced in size at a slow speed and the energy inside went toward his mind.

Instead of the core at the center, he was also curious about the method to strengthen his soul.

The man was then used to refine his brain and he could feel an exhilarating feeling passing through his being. he felt pleasured and relaxed. this feeling lasted for just a millisecond, and then he felt his mind clear up just a little.

"So, I can strengthen my soul like this huh?" He said and then continued, "Now, let's try to absorb it into the body."

He did the same with the remaining core, the absorption was faster this time and the mana was more in quantity.

"The amount of mana is more when I absorb it directly without the system's help and when I try to refine my soul, only a small part of the core is used and the remaining mana is lost."

He said and looked at the system screen and thought inwardly,' if I remember right, the voice that rang out didn't say anything about giving the powers and advantage by itself, it just said you have been."

His thoughts ran wild as he said inwardly but on the outside, he said something entirely different. this multitasking happened naturally.

"I need to practice telekinesis so it's good to absorb it myself."

He seemingly said it in passing and went ahead toward the goblin settlement.

He walked at a relatively fast speed and grabbed the cores on the way, there were books here and there. he immediately learned them and used telekinesis to absorb the cores while walking, the cores were circulating in his body and there were strands of soul energy attached to them. they were getting absorbed gradually to refine his soul.

He used them to refine his soul as his clone was cultivating and there was no need to absorb cores to increase mana even though most of the energy was lost while absorbing into the soul. he didn't care much about this waste.

Alex reached the settlement and the clones were also there by this time. he absorbed the clones and the books at the same time. All the skills were low-leveled and trash-like. for example, slash and shield slam, and the cores were also getting absorbed gradually.

He sat down and after sending two more of his clones to collect the loot, he started to speedily strengthen his soul, the increase was very small and there was no sign of a breakthrough but he continued to absorb them as the feeling of his soul strengthening was amazing and he needed to be stronger to live peacefully.

After a while, he had absorbed all the cores and the clones too, all the other things were useless. even the locket that the chieftain goblin wore, gave negligible boosts and the skill book it dropped was C-Rank berserk and he absorbed it. he then walked towards the big hut where the gate is most likely to be.

As he opened the wooden door, he saw a spiked wooden club coming straight at his face without a warning.

He was shocked and failed to react for a moment and that moment was fatal as his face was hit. he saw stars for a moment and was thrown backward nearly 5 meters. he was nearly knocked unconscious but he held on and he forcefully gritted his teeth and got up.

If his body wasn't so strong he could have died from that.

His face was badly mangled and blood was flowing freely, as he opened one of his eyes while grunting painfully. he saw the club close to his face again and the chieftain goblin that was a little different from before yelling at him.

"Fuck Off!"

He used telekinesis with all his strength and released everything he had in one go. a circular field of pressure was released from him that slammed into the goblin and it was thrown backward and collided with the door, the hut was demolished with the force and there was no movement.

Alex was furious at the fact that he was injured with a sneak attack and because there shouldn't have been any more goblins.

"Or maybe the gate spawns the goblins continuously,"

he said with hate and then used partial replication to regenerate the injuries like he regenerated his arm. this method of regeneration improved as his proficiency increased and the arm felt like new.

It needed a lot of concentration but no one disturbed him and he recovered in a short while, and in at most 20 minutes he was as new as before but the anger on his face was still present.

he unknowingly acted like the spoiled second-generation young master getting injured.

"You will pay for this." He said but calmed down gradually, his demeanor changing unknowingly without any warning or reason. he continued, "Well, I can't complain as I killed so many of them."

He said and walked towards the big hut but this time he was prepared and spread a little bit of his soul energy outside his body in an orbital field of half a meter and it started to rotate around his body.

It was not very great but against a monster of that level, it was sufficient and helped to see his surroundings and anticipate any sneak attack or even predict the opponent's movement. it worked like soul sense. but it was not recognized as a technique for some reason. Maybe, because it was not mastered and was imperfect and the control was sloppy.

Alex went forward, anticipating a sneak attack but nothing like that came and he just saw an unconscious goblin, it looked similar yet different from the chieftain that he saw before.

Alex summoned a blade and used telekinesis to behead it from a distance.

After getting the book and the core he absorbed them immediately. he walked forward, and inside the demolished hut was a circular mirror-like gate rotating clockwise, it was no different than the one from before.

Even though the gate was there and he could choose to explore it by using a clone, he didn't.

He turned back determinedly and said. "It's not the time for that yet, I don't want to be concerned with the enemy that I can't defeat right now, there is still time and so much to learn and so much strength to acquire, no need to hurry."

And he headed outside the dungeon. walking forward with a wind that shouldn't exist in the dungeon, the tree leaves rustling along with his movement while dramatically saying these words. it created a dramatic impact.
