Chapter 2

Chapter Two

Mave immediately stood up, everyone looked at him again like one crazy person and began laughing , since he had been acting funny all day. 

He took his bag and then left the class. The teacher kept calling to him in anger since he was still teaching and the class was not yet over. But Mave didn’t listen,  he just kept walking away, knowing that there was better things for him to be doing than to be wasting his time on class at the moment. 

The teacher was furious because of Jung’s stubbornness,  some of his classmates were just laughing , using the opportunity to disturb the class. While others just mocked Mave, and calling him stupid for ditching class and disobeying the teacher, because now he was sure to get detention and possibly expulsion from the school.

Mave kept walking with his school bag handing on his shoulder as he walked,  he was seriously thinking about everything now, and just how he would make everything work out for him this time around. 

‘First I have to find that bastard Jiren, and give him a piece of my mind. Sure it’s not yet time for him to betray me,  but still, the fact that he’d betray me Te Years from now, even to the point of killing me, is something I can not stand. And I’d also need to find Talia, my gf and prepare her for what is to her next. ‘ Mave thought to himself, he stopped in the hallway and then tried to remember which way to go so as to find his friends and gf’s class. He may have been reincarnated, but his mind was ten years old and he had forgotten some of the things. 

Luckily he didn’t have to think so much when he recalled the route to their class,  he took a left turn and began walking in that direction.

His friend and gf were in the same class,  so it will be easy finding them.

‘after I find them, then I’ll go gather some supplies and prepare for when the fog will appear, I must be prepared this time around,  no matter what.’

He found their class, he looked through the glass and found that there was no lecture on session at the moment. He opened the door and looked around, hoping to find his gf among the students that were present there, but unfortunately she was not there. 

‘where could she be, I really don’t have time’ he thought and then turned to leave the class. 

Just when he was about leaving, he overheard some of the girls in the class gossiping.

“Jiren kissed Talia today” 

“what, no way?”

“For reals, she told me about it this morning.”

“wow, so are they dating or what?” 

“I don’t know,  but something is obviously going on between them. She’s with him right.”

“right now?” 

“yes,  right now as we speak. That’s why she didn’t wanna join us in class.”

“damn, spicy gossip. I need to know more.”

“they should be in the dorm next to the library now, I don’t wanna bother them”

Mave turned  immediately to face the girls talking and then kept quiet when they noticed that he was eavesdropping. 

Mave gritted his teeth in anger and clenched his fist. He left the classroom boiling, deciding to go find them.

‘that bastard, so that is why he killed me. Just so he can cheat with my gf, that fucking bastard, I’ll give him a piece of my mind right now.’

Mave stomped out, heading towards where they were. He was so angry that he had forgotten that he needed to prepare for the fog that was supposed to come.

He arrived at the door of the dorm the two girls were talking about and he was just about to smash the door open when something shiny caught his eyes. 

Mave looked at what was shining very closely and then realized that it was the same ring of before. The one he got from the sss- class monster before he died. 

He was very certain it was it. He remembers the pitch black color, as well as the inscriptions that was written on it back then. But this time, the inscriptions in another language was glowing red and making the ring shine.

“what’s happening now.”

Mave said and then extended his right and forward, and then gently collected the ring again. 

‘could this ring be what helped me reincarnate back, when I was killed?’

He asked in confusion, he was just so confused. He didn’t know what to do but he just collected the ring.

When he held the ring, he felt this inclination to wear the ring, it was like he was drawn to the ring and the ring was drawn to him. There was this connection between him and the ring  He could feel it. 

He took the ring and then wore it on his right hand And immediately he felt a strange sensation. He heard a voice in his head. Just as a system was awakened.

““Welcome back Hero Maverick.””

Mave jolted in surprise when he heard the voice, he looked around thinking someone close to him had said something. But he did not find anyone speaking to him, but then he thought about it, he didn’t exactly hear the voice but it was like the voice was Projected into His head.

““Hero Mave””

The voice said again in Mave’s head, but this time it did not startle Mave. He just steadied his breathing and listened intently to what the voice had to say.  And just like he had assumed, he didn’t hear the voice, but rather the voice was in his head. 

“Hello, who is there and who are you? “ Mave said but then lowered his voice so he wouldn’t draw attention to himself. To be on the safe side, he moved away from where people could see him and went to the back of the building, just so he could understand what was happening.

““Consider me a voice in your head for now, you don’t have to say anything. Just think of what you want to say and I’ll know.”” The voice said again to Mave as it explained. When Mave hears this, he nodded his head in understanding.

“so…” he started saying but then remembered the instruction he was just given, so rather than continue talking, he just thought of what He wanted to say.

‘So what are you?’ he asked. 

““I am the system that has awakened in you, to guide you on your journey as a hero.”” It said back to Mave. Mave nodded, realizing that whatever it was, it could hear his thoughts just like it had said. Mave didn’t find the explanation he was given satisfactory enough, so he pressed it for more answers. 

‘give me more information’

“”For now, that’s as much as I can give you. You will get more answers in due time””. It said to Mave. Mave wasn’t still satisfied, it was just really weird having a voice he can’t explain in his head.

‘so what do I call you? And how do I make you really are here to assist me?’ Mave asked.
