CHAPTER 71 - EVAN AND SUSAN

Evan hadn't seen Jack and Kurt for four months. Since the whole year-long incident had occurred, they had met a few times, like wolves. Jack and Kurt could no longer change into humans, although Evan doubted whether they had any interest in returning. He concluded that maybe they hadn't.

The house he was staying in with Susan was modest and extremely isolated. Although she was a witch, some things were limited, mainly because of the amount of energy she had expended in the incident. Food was scarce. Susan kept all the food because Evan could feed himself as a wolf, once fed in that form when he returned to human form, he was already satisfied. Evan used to change only on nights with a full moon and when he felt hungry, otherwise, he didn't change. Susan had never forced a transformation on him again.
