CHAPTER 54

When Damon awoke that evening as the last rays of the sun disappeared in the west, Nathan was standing beside the bed a look of distress on his face.

“What is it?”

“She’s gone, Damon.”

“Damn!” Damon quickly dressed while Nathan told him about Jeff and Aya’s visit, and Liya’s departure.

“We have to get her back. She’s sitting prey for Ellish.” Luca’s internal anguish was evident through his altering facial features. His eyes flashed violet then crimson. This was it. He had to use his influence with her. Amon would be here tonight and he failed. Worse, the thought of Ellish touching her enraged him. He swore and drove his fist into the stone wall with a crunch cracking several stones. “Get the car and meet me at her dorm.” He vanished.
