Not even calling it brutal can describe that war Because of the high death rate that caused more than 60% of the population in the three realms to perish
Especially in the mortal realm where they were not prepared to be invaded which in turn caused many to be sacrificed in the first wave.
Only after a bitter struggle that the races of the mortal realm started to hold their ground but still they lost many just so that they could take down a few from the demon and underworld realm, the situation became stable a little after the five big races allied and started fighting together. This alleviated the situation and gives the mortal realm inhabitants some room to breathe and collect themselves, yet even with that they still kept losing many against their brutal and cunning enemies because the different atmosphere in the three realms is completely different to the point where you can say that the wars that happened in the Mortal Realm are like a picnic for the Demon and Underworld realm races who live every day like a life-or-death battlefield which gives them the edge of strength in this war.
But as the saying goes hard times create strong men, at the hardest time many heroes and strong fighters emerged to defend their homeland this raised the morale and the tenacity of the whole Mortal realm to the point when even with all the strength that the Underworld and Demon realm can master they still couldn't defeat them and only entered a settlement, that's because the number of the Legendary and Divinity beings in the Mortal realm was more than they thought it was especially at the Divinity rank. The two realms companied got 6 Divinity rank Yet in the Mortal realm alone there was 5 of them, one was even strong to the point of holding both rulers of the Underworld and Demon realm to a draw which shocked many, they never thought such a supreme person is residing in such a weak realm.
After 10 years of battling with more than 1000 small and large scale battles, the Mortal realm inhibitors finally pushed all the invaders to the central area where the gate was opened and it was the place where the three great realms had their last great battle, a battle that nothing like it has ever happened in history with 9 Divinity beings and More than 100 Legendary figure, and after many sacrifices, the invaders finally lost and retreated to their realm with only half their original number.
It was a battle that left behind only ruins and many deaths, and to shut down the crack in the gate the Mortal emperor sacrificed his divinity and power to completely seal it for good, his efforts won him the worship of the mess, after all, he was their hero and protector to the point where even the prideful Dragons and the aloof Elf's put status for him in their domain.
