Logan Frost's Mysterious Identity

Logan struggled to open his eyes as he still had so much alcohol in his system, he moved in the bed till his hand touched a soft and warm skin.

A loud scream right came after his hand was yanked away with so much strength. “What have you done to me? Who are you? A feminine voice shouted at him.

Logan sat up on the bed and rubbed on his eyes so he could see properly, as his vision cleared, he saw a beautiful fair woman beside him, he didn’t seem to know what was going on.

“Who are you and why am I here?”

Mia frowned at him. “What sort of shameless question is that? I should be asking you instead! Did you bring me here to rape me?”

“Rape? That is a sensitive word you are using ma’am. For someone who seduced me, you have some brazen guts to say that.” Logan fired at her.

She tried to recollect what he meant by that and she remembered how she ended up in the position she was in.

Mia ran her hands through her hair. “I must be out of my mind. How much did I drink last night to have made this pathetic mistake with a stranger." She lamented bitterly.

She was originally a member of the Leinhart family, the oldest daughter to be precise. The Leinhart family were the most famous in town, everyone knew about how wealthy and powerful they were.

Her grandfather, Lord Leinhart had arranged her marriage to the heir of Nelson’s family, Mike Nelson, whom she hates so much.

She didn’t want to get married to him but her Grandfather insisted that she proceed with the wedding against her wish. She had come to the City of Gambling to release her stress but she had ended up in this kind of situation.

“Since this has happened, I will take responsibility for this. You don’t have to worry.” Logan assured her with confidence.

She sized him from head to toe. “Take responsibility for this? Do I seem like an easy woman that you can knock out and claim that you will take care of? Can you even take care of yourself?” She groaned.

“I really ran out of luck today. Imagine a loser like this offering to take care of me, I am sure his total savings can’t purchase my underwear and not talk of my clothes.” She thought to herself and got up from the bed.

“Phew, Mia. Calm down, Let’s handle this situation like a mature woman.” Mia calmed herself down mentally before she spoke.

“No single soul must hear of what transpired between today. Have you heard?” Mia whispered to him.

“Why?” Logan asked confusedly.

“No questions, young man. We have never met. Last night never happened between us. If any soul hears about this, I will hunt you down and ruin your life. Do you understand me!” She yelled at him while she struggled to put on her clothes in a rush.

“My family is very powerful and a rat like you will only get hurt if you blab around or create any silly rumors," She added then she grabbed her bag and left the hotel room.

Logan reached for his phone on the bedside and dialed the number of his assistant. After the first ring, the assistant picked up.

“Good Morning, Young Master. Did you have a pleasant night? I have been receiving calls from the head office, should I tell them you won't be showing up today?”

“Yes. I need to do something quietly. Did you see the woman that came in with me last night?”

“Hmmmm… yes sir. She just walked out of the hotel as we were speaking.”

“Do you know who she is? She seems to be from a powerful family, that is what she told me anyway.”

“It could be a lie. Many people lie about their social status, sir.”

A lie? Logan didn’t think she could possibly be lying to him.

“That doesn’t matter. I want you to find out every single thing about her. I don't care how much it would cost me, find out everything from her name to the foods she ate.” He ordered.

“Got it Young Master!” His assistant said. “I will send your breakfast up and the custom suits from Louis Vuitton."

“They have arrived already? What about the BMW Nazca m12 that I just bought?”

“It is at the port, I am on my way to clear it.”

“Take it to the Penthouse, I will meet you there.” He hung up immediately.

“Where were you all night, Mia?!” Lord Leinhart, an old man in his seventies with a few gray hairs on his head, yelled as he burst into his daughter’s room.

He was so furious when he had come to check on her the previous night but her room was empty.

“Grandpar, you should have agreed to my request, then I would not have to sleep outside. I am not going to marry that despicable rat from the Nelson’s family.” Mia fired at her grandfather.

“Do you know how much we would be losing if you don’t marry him? His family has connections everywhere. That alone will make us untouchable.” Lord Leinhart tried to speak calmly.

“All my life I have granted all your wishes obediently, without refusing anyone. Now you want me to get married to that rotten dung? I'd rather have you disown me.” Mia said in a loud tone.

“You will marry Mike and there is nothing you or anyone will do about….” Just when Lord Leinhart was about to complete his statement, the family’s butler rushed in.

“My Lord,” The butler bowed in respect.

“What is it? Why interrupt my discussion?” Lord Leinhart scolded him.

“I think you must hear this urgently. It is about the young Miss.” the butler replied, piquing both grandfather and granddaughter’s interest.

“What is it about?” Mia demanded, wanting to know what news about her came through the butler.

“We received the young miss’s letter of marriage registration from the court.” The Butler.

“What?!” Mia exclaimed.

“I know the Nelson’s family are in a rush, but I didn't know they were this eager.” Lord Leinhart laughed out loud.

“There is a little problem, my lord. The groom is not from the Nelson’s family.”

"What do you mean by that?” Lord Leinhart asked in confusion.

“From the letter we received from court, the groom is a young man called Logan Frost.”
