As Lucas walked home, he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over him. The beautiful scenery of the countryside was unlike anything he had ever seen before. He breathed in the fresh air, feeling the stress of the past few days melt away.

As he walked, he saw many people passing by, some on foot and some on horseback. Lucas couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for his own horse. He had always loved riding, and he missed the feeling of the wind in his hair and the power of the animal beneath him.

But as he continued to walk, the memories in his head began to surface again. He remembered that he was someone's son-in-law, and that he had a wife waiting for him at home. The thought made him angry. He knew that his wife, Mona, had only married him because of his connections to the White Lotus sect. She had used him to get ahead, and he had been nothing more than a pawn in her game.

Lucas clenched his fists, feeling the anger rise up inside him. He couldn't believe that he had let himself be used like that. He had worked hard for the White Lotus sect, cleaning their horses and doing their dirty work, all so that his wife and her family could benefit.

But as he continued to walk, Lucas began to realize that he didn't have to put up with it anymore. He was his own person, and he didn't have to let anyone else control his life. He could make his own decisions and do what was best for him.

As he approached his in-laws' house, he saw Mona waiting for him outside. She was dressed in her finest clothes, her waist ruffled and her hair done up in an elaborate style. Lucas couldn't help but feel a pang of resentment. He knew that she was only dressing up for show, to impress the other members of the White Lotus sect.

Lucas had always been a hard worker, but ever since he started working for the White Lotus sect, he had been pushing himself to the limit. He spent his days cleaning the stables and taking care of the horses, and by the time he got home, he was exhausted.

But no matter how hard he worked, it was never enough for Mona. She was always demanding more money, more gifts, more attention. Lucas tried to reason with her, but it was like talking to a wall.

"You're a horse cleaner, Lucas," Mona sneered as they walked into the house. "You're never going to make enough money to support us. I should have married someone with real potential."

Lucas felt a surge of anger rise up inside of him. He had always known that Mona was materialistic from the memory of the original owner of this body that he occupies, but he had never realized just how shallow she was.

"I work hard every day to provide for us," Lucas said through gritted teeth. "I don't know what more you want from me."

Mona rolled her eyes. "You're a horse cleaner, Lucas. You'll never be anything more than that. I need someone who can give me the life I deserve."

"Why don't you become an outer disciple of the White Lotus Sect? I heard they earn a lot of money by completing missions for the sect," Mona said casually as if becoming an outer disciple of a martial arts sect was something easy.

In fact, just to become a horse cleaner in the sect, Lucas had to curry favor with many people.

As they were arguing, Lucas suddenly remembered that he hadn't had sex with his wife since they got married. He had always been too tired from working, and Mona had never seemed interested. Lucas realized that he had been nothing more than a source of income for her.

"Lucas, I need money!" said Mona.

Lucas didn't answer, he was still thinking about what was the best thing he could do to solve all these problems.

Just then, Mona's father burst into the room. He was a large, burly man, and he looked furious. He began yelling at Lucas, blaming him for not making enough money. Lucas tried to defend himself, but Mona's father was too enraged to listen. He lunged at Lucas, trying to hit him.

But Lucas was quick on his feet. He easily dodged the older man's blows, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground. Mona's father was shocked. He had never seen anyone move so quickly.

"Lucas! What are you doing? You hurt my father!"

"You don't love me Lucas?"

Lucas's anger boiled over. He was tired of being used and abused by his wife and her family. He was tired of being a slave. Without thinking, he raised his hand and slapped Mona across the face.

Mona's cheek immediately swelled, and her lip began to bleed. She looked at Lucas in shock, tears streaming down her face. Lucas could see the fear in her eyes, and he felt a momentary pang of guilt. But then he remembered all the times she had hurt the real Lucas, and his anger returned.

Lucas grabbed Mona by the throat, lifting her off the ground. He could feel the rage coursing through his veins. He was tired of being a slave. He was tired of being used.

"I'm not going to let you do this to me anymore," he growled. "I'm not going to be your slave."

Mona's eyes widened in terror, and she began to struggle. But Lucas was too strong. He held her tight, feeling the anger and resentment drain out of him.

Finally, Lucas let go of Mona. She fell to the ground, gasping for breath. Lucas looked down at her, feeling a strange mixture of emotions.

Lucas turned and walked out of the house, leaving Mona and her family behind. He knew that he would never be able to go back to the way things were before. But he was determined to make a new life for himself, one where he was in control of his own destiny.

As Lucas walked away, he heard Mona's father calling after him. "You'll regret this, Lucas," he shouted. "You'll never be able to show your face in this town again."

Lucas didn't look back. He knew that he was taking a risk by leaving, but he was willing to take that risk if it meant being free. He had always dreamed of becoming a martial artist, and now he finally had the chance to pursue that dream.

Lucas walked for hours, not stopping until he reached the outskirts of the city. He knew that he would need to find a place to stay and a way to make a living, but he was determined to make it on his own.

Lucas eventually found a small inn on the outskirts of the city. He paid for a room with the little money he had left and collapsed onto the bed, exhausted.
