Several hours passed after Ushar brief exchange with the lady who called herself Linda, from her words, he also gleaned that the masked person that usually came with her was called Boss.

Ushar however gleaned one more fact and perhaps, the more important fact.

For a long time, Ushar had thought long and hard about escaping this place. The locks were a problem but after countless attempts at pulling out of them, the metal had began to expand from inside and the only thing holding Ushar back now was his dread of the sun.

While speaking earlier however, Linda had mentioned that the masked person called Boss had always came to see him first thing in the morning and this was Ushar key. In the Blood Kingdom, they had always been taught that if by any means they were forced to go to Earth, they should only move at night to avoid the sun.

In these room however, the lights were always on and bright leaving him no room to differentiate between morning and night.

With the knowledge that the last visit from Boss occurred in the morning, Ushar had been patiently counting seconds, minutes and hours. Now, he had counted forty four thousand seconds which corresponded to over twelve hours and his gamble was solely on Linda’s words being true, if it was indeed night, Ushar would be unstoppable.

Releasing a breathe, Ushar looked at the locks around his ankles as he bunch his hand into a fist and suddenly, he pulled against his right hand with such power that that skin on his palm hand was shredded off revealing bones which cracked as they squirmed through the lock blood splattering all over the bed.

“Aaarrr…” A brief bestial cry blasted off Ushar throat but was quickly stifled into a whimper as he tried to not alert the humans. His right hand was soon extricated from the lock, all blood and mangled as tore flesh dangled off it and Ushar whole body trembled in bone chilling pain but his eyes still shown with as much determination as ever.

Without waiting a moment, he pulled violently against his other hand as well and after a short bloody moment, the hand was also free. Looking back at his right hand, it was rapidly healing up and Ushar decided to wait for both of his hand to heal, a process that barely took three minutes.

“You all will pay for this…” Ushar spoke with a hateful glare as both of his hand grabbed at the lock on his right foot, pulling with all his power until a shrill cry of metal being torn rang out and Ushar whole body swung back from the inertia of the pull as he head slammed into his pillow. Ushar recovered the next moment, pulling off the other lock off before jumping off the bed and shooting towards the transparent glass wall, transforming mid way as his whole body rammed into the glass wall which shattered on contact as Ushar staggered into a long hallway.

Looking to his right, he could see a wall while the other end of the walkway curved off through the building.

Suddenly, the whole walkway went red but it was only briefly and repeatedly, alarms also blared out in Ushar ear and he sneered before blasting towards wall to his front which was shattered after a few punches and behind this door was a large bright room with numerous items hanging all over the wall and by a side, Ushar could smell a man behind a large box with his heart beating rapidly.

Ushar was not surprised, he had heard the sounds of footsteps behind it but other than that, he could also hear the sound of the wind behind it. It wasn’t near the exit but seems to be a room at the peripheral of the building.

“Is that what you humans call hiding?” Ushar spoke mockingly as he began to walk towards the box when he suddenly saw a Ushar saw a dark metallic item peeking out from the box’s side and then a loud bang rang out as sparks flashed out from the tube like end of the item.

Ushar’s brain was processing numerous thoughts in a moment, curiosity to shock to pain, they were all muddled together as he stared down at his leg in which a hole could be seen.

“That thing just spitted a strange power at me…” He muttered just as the person behind the box sprang up walking backwards with the dark metallic item securely in his two hands and another bang rang out but Ushar had learnt his lesson, he leapt to the side but to his surprise, another hole appeared through his bone amour and this time, it was on his chest.

Ushar didn’t stay in place as he leapt above the human, landing just behind him and before the human could turn around, Ushar claw swiped at his hand which held the weapon slicing it cleanly off and a painful yell suffused the air but ignoring the human’s cry, Ushar’s fang dug into the human’s neck greedily sucking blood.

Immersed glee of blood whose taste he had almost forgotten, Ushar ignored the sound of several approaching steps until he heard another bang and hot pain radiated off his back as he heard lady screamed.

“Snap off it, Ryan!”

Ushar slowly turned back to look at the attacker but just then, the human in his grasp surprisingly pushed a circular item into Ushar exposed torso before staggering off and even though his speed might as well be compared to a snail’s pace in Ushar sight, he could not move an inch as blue arcs spread out from the circular device on his body dancing wildly on his body as he trembled in place.

This however only lasted a moment and immediately the electric arcs dissipated, Ushar shot towards the woman that had attacked him but in between him and her, a net suddenly descended covering the whole of Ushar figure with even stronger electricity dancing all around it and Ushar was rooted in place, trembling on.

Them from the same place that the net had dropped, he saw the man in suit landed in front of him and speaking, “trust me, I could have killed you a long time ago but I chose to save you. As it stands now however, you seems to think quite low of my mercy so I am offering you a chance, fight me to death without taking revenge for everything, without taking back what’s rightfully yours, without leaving a single legacy where you really belong or fight for me and take back all that once belonged to you, even more if you wish.” The word of the masked man were clear in Ushar ear even though the terrifying pain of this strange attacks were burning him to his very bones.

The pain was great but even greater was the crushing wave of helplessness that suddenly washed over Ushar's spirit. In front of this humans, he had been brought to his knees not once but twice, now he could not help remember his father's words.

If the humans were not so different to the Vampires maybe he should swallow his pride and try to explore the human part of him. Coming to this sudden realization, Kurtz wanted to scream and shout that he had accepted the masked man proposal but he couldn’t even move his lips, the pain only intensified until the man removed a syringe from his pocket, walking all the way to Ushar back and then with a prick, his world went blank.

In the hall, Ushar could see many female demons with their back towards the hall entrance. In front of each of them, a table with several tools on them could be seen as well as a blue flame source which faintly lit up the interior of the hall casting a bluish glow on everything.“Thanks for bringing him back Erin, now join your colleagues.” A woman’s voice suddenly rang out from the other entrance which led into the interior of the hall of the hall and there, he could see a familiar face, Sola.Sola however seems to be ignoring Ushar with her gaze fixed unto the she-demon who had brought in Ushar. The timid she-demon had her head bowed as she rushed towards the last table in line which previously had no one in front of it and now she was the last person in line.Slowly, Sola walked towards the first she-demon, looking at all the tools in front of her for a moment before speaking, “what do you think about the flame.” She asked and the she-demon in front of her stared at the gently sway

  • SHAMAN'S HOLD

“The Shaman’s pet.” Ushar repeated before walking over to a rock outcrop below the aerial path and sitting with his back against it. The Shaman whom Gud was referring to, he was quite sure it was Sola the she-demon as he faintly remembered hearing Lugar called her something like that as well but being called someone’s pet was a novel kind of language which Ushar had never once imagined in his life could be used for him.He was a prince, the son of a king even if the kingdom was now destroyed. He was once a creature that struck terror into the mind of everyone that really knew who he was but now, he was being called a pet.Ushar gave a lengthy chuckle before slowly quieting. The blood kingdom, he had tried his best to save it but he was quite sure he failed, the Dragon must have failed to find him and eventually went back for the Vampires, or maybe he did and the Dragon was actually sent into some other strange worlds as well. But again, he remembered his nightmare in the dungeon, it h

After giving her reply, Ushar watched Sola concentrate on whatever she was doing. Out of the several vessels in the place, she picked one large enough to hold a growing teenager and then walked back to the pool scooping the crimson liquid in it with the vessel in her hand.Staring intently into the vessel, Sola muttered some words before looking around the blue flames which formed a perimeter around them both.“Why is she looking for so long, there doesn’t seem to be any difference between those flames?” Ushar muttered in wonder and just then, Sola walked towards a flame to her side. Unlike the other flames however, this one wasn’t swaying.“Interesting…” Ushar thought as he watched Sola’s hand around the vessel started to glow bright blue light and then she lifted the vessel over the blue flame.Slowly the flame burnt brighter spreading to the sides of the vessel and Ushar cringed, that was flame!
