Mutants high

In the quiet city of  Whitelock , New Zealand, secrets lurked beneath streetlights and silence. The government had one strict rule no mutants. Anyone caught with powers was executed on sight. No questions. No trials. Just blood and law.

Behind the polished smile of Mayor Clark, fear ruled. His only son, Alan Clark, lived a life wrapped in privilege fancy cars, spotless uniforms, admiration from nearly every girl at school. Yet beneath all that, he felt… incomplete. Like something in him waited to awaken.

It all started the night of the President’s son's party. The lawns of the Danny estate glittered with golden lights. Music thundered. Laughter spilled into the air. Teens danced like they had no past no future. Just now.

Alan stood alone at the edge of the pool, a red solo cup in hand, untouched. His jaw clenched each time Danny passed by with his arrogant smirk. Memories from the Freshers’ Night burned in his mind shame, humiliation, rage. He should’ve never come here.

Then it happened.

The ground trembled. Not enough for others to notice, but Alan felt it deep inside his bones. The cup cracked in his grip. His fingers glowed faintly, silver threads dancing over his skin like lightning veins. He stumbled back, breathing hard. His reflection in the pool shimmered not his face, but something else. Something... powerful.

A whisper curled into his mind. “You were never ordinary.”

At that same moment, far below the city beneath Mutant High a girl with pale eyes jolted awake, screaming.

“He’s awakening. We must find him… before they do.”

                        001:- CALM BEFORE THE STORM 

 I surged forward instinctively even though my whole body was shaking with fear I was determined to protect Piper 

"Shut up." 

Danny's voice snapped like a whip. He turned to his boys. "Bring him." My heart pounded. As they closed in, i stumbled backward, arms shaking, legs weak. I cold feel the coldness of my skin was , and how shirt clanged to my body like a second skin. My eyes darted around the toilet stall for an escape, but all i found were grins hungry, dangerous grins.

 "Stay away from me!" I said as I let out a high pitched scream. 

All t could hear was the noisy room and the sounds coming from laughs , footsteps. Everything became blur in my eyes o didn't even know what going on with me anymore My skin felt hot, boiling, like fire surged under it. 

My vision blurred, but I could feel something trying to burst out of me. My hands itched like they held power I didn't understand. I tried to hold it in. I swear I did. But it hurt. It felt like a boulder was lodged in my throat one made of lightning, fire, and rage. I couldn't take it anymore. I screamed. And when I did, the ground split beneath my feet. Flames burst from my back, licking up the tiled walls and dancing across the ceiling. My fists slammed against the floor 

"BOOM!" 

a thunderous shockwave exploded outward, knocking two guys into the sinks and shattering the mirrors in a burst of flying glass. Something darker followed. A swirling black mass began to form beside me. Small, dense... a void. The air twisted toward it. Loose tiles, papers, even the belt from someone's pants began pulling into it. 

NOW LET ME TAKE YOU BACK ON HOW WE GOT TO THIS 

"I'm not going to that party." 

I shoved my books into my backpack, the locker door slamming with a loud clang. The sound echoed down the hallway, but I didn't care. If anything, I wanted it to match the storm in my chest. 

Guy, my best friend since middle school, leaned on the locker beside mine with a teasing grin. "Why not? It's not the party it's Connor Danny's party. Everyone's going." 

"Exactly why I'm not." 

I snapped the last zipper and swung the bag over my shoulder. "The last time I went to one of his parties, I ended up drenched in punch, with half the school laughing. I'm not signing up for round two." 

Guy raised his brows, clearly unconvinced. "Come on, Alan. That was freshman year. People forget." I shot him a look. "Do you forget the guy who pantsed you in gym class? Yeah, neither does the internet." 

I stopped, turned to him, and said, "It's not about fear. It's about self-respect. I don't care how rich or popular Danny is. 

I'm not letting him screw with my peace again." Guy watched me walk away in silence. But something about the glint in his eye told me he wasn't done yet. "...We'll see about that," I heard him mumble behind me.
