Chapter 1
Hoping For A Miracle
"The inter-house sport is tomorrow, I can no longer wait," a young female girl said to her friends as they made their way to the school eatery.
They were dressed in green and black uniforms with a badge on the left side of their shirts. 'Hero Academia.' was boldly imprinted on the badges. "Yeah, Elizabeth, I can no longer wait as well," another girl replied. The girls laughed as they chattered. On their way, just before going into the building, they saw a boy standing by the entrance door. "Hey, look, it's Alex." They all turned their attention to the boy who was oblivious of the fact that they were talking about him. "I hate him for so many reasons," the girl named Elizabeth said and scoffed. "Everything about him speaks bad of him; the fact that he is so weak, poor, stupid, and not-so-good looking. Makes me wanna puke each time I see him." "I wonder if he's going to pass tomorrow's test," another girl said. She sounded worried about the boy but then Elisabeth hissed. "If he fails, he's going to leave the Academy for good. Might as well become a cleaner or something else to help himself, tsk." The girls walked past the boy and went into the building, as they did, Alex glanced at them and saw Elizabeth. He smiled at her but instead of getting smiled at, the girl hissed and walked away. This got the boy upset that he frowned. "Still thinking about her, huh?" Someone asked from behind and when he turned, he saw a boy there. "Peter," he called and tried to smile a bit but the boy could not be deceived. "You know what, you should stop pretending to me. We've been friends since elementary school, you can not lie to me." Alex sighed, his friend had caught him. There was no need to continue pretending like everything was fine when nothing is. "If you're worried about Elizabeth accepting you, then I think you should stop and worry more about tomorrow's inter-house sport. We are not expected to fail the tests, not even one or we will end up driven out of the Academy " Peter told him. "I am very much aware," Alex replied and frowned the more. "But how am I supposed to pass the tests without having an ability? I don't have even a single one." "Don't worry, Alex, I'll help you," Peter consoled his friend but that did not help the issue. It did not make the boy less sad. "Sorry Peter, but I don't think I'll be joining you for lunch," Alex said and turned to leave. "But why? Did you not tell me you were hungry?" Peter asked, frowning. "I have lost my appetite," Alex replied. "I'm going back to the hostel, you can join me later," he added and left Peter's side. As he walked away, he cursed himself inwardly for being incompetent. He had always been a burden to Peter ever since they became friends, sometimes, he wished the boy would grow tired of helping him, of always carrying him along, and just dump him because he had equally grown tired of himself. Some years ago, monsters suddenly appeared on Earth and began to cause havoc, as if that was not enough, villains also appeared, threatening the lives of people. Everyday, the numbers of villains grew even larger than the numbers of monsters in the world and the people's lives were at stake. To find a solution, some individuals devised many plans that will help them, and after so many researches, one came. A bizarre plan, they called it then. Many were against it since it was against the order of nature but because the rate of death in the world increased daily, they decided to go ahead with it. They extracted the blood of monsters and injected them into humans and after many days, these humans began to develop special traits and they called it ability. These humans were able use abilities belonging to monsters and fight both the monsters and the villains terrorizing people. The first humans gave birth, and the abilities were passed down to their offsprings, thereby, creating a world of special individuals called the heroes. Unfortunately, one day, someone emerged as the world strongest villain, he was born with dual abilities, something that has never happened before. He caused havoc, destroying almost an entire country... His reign continued for a while until one day, he disappeared without a trace. But before he left, he promised that he would return to wipe out the remaining world's population. After this, an idea was made and that was to build a place for training young people so as to get them prepared for the future battle against the strongest villain and his cohorts. Alex was unfortunately born without an ability and being born into a family of heroes, people could not help but ridicule him, calling him a jinx. His father however loves him unconditionally and using his power as one of the S-class rated heroes on the list, he enrolled him into the heroes academy with hopes of giving him a bright future. Still, nothing was working well for him. His classmates avoided him, no one really wanted to have anything to do with him. Life could have been hellish for him if he didn't have Peter, his best friend to be with him. Peter helped him with virtually everything, helping pass his practical tests, helping on other matters... The boy has always been good to him but now, he was getting tired of it. Peter's parents were also heroes, they use the fire ability as such, he also had the fire ability. In the Academy, he was not only famous for being the only child of the S-class rated heroes but also for his handsomeness and intelligence. This was a contrast of who he was. Sometimes, he finds himself envying him and wishing he could just be him even if it was only for a day. As he walked back to his hostel, he cried inwardly and wished a miracle would happen. Tomorrow will determine if he was ready to be a hero just like his parents. If he fails, not only will he be chased out of the Academy, he will become a disgrace to the hero world, a dent to his family, and will be ridiculed by every one. If a miracle does not happen, he might end up giving up on life.Expand

SSS-Ranked Necro-Villain After Exams Party
The sun hung low on the horizon by the time the last bell rang, casting long shadows across the schoolyard. The air buzzed with a mix of exhaustion and relief as students poured out of the classrooms, their backpacks heavier with scribbled notes and half-used pens. After hours of back-to-back exams, the once energetic hallways now echoed with yawns and stretched limbs. Yet, despite the fatigue clinging to their bones, a shared excitement coursed through them, no more exams until next term. It was a thought sweet enough to wash away the memory of aching wrists and last-minute cramming.Peter swung his bag over his shoulder, grinning as he nudged Alex. "I thought those exams would never end. My brain's probably fried now."Alex gave a faint smile, his thoughts elsewhere, but even he couldn't deny the relief of finishing. Across the hall, Elizabeth leaned against the wall, arms crossed, her usual sharpness softened by a hint of weariness. She caught Alex's eye for a brief second before l

Students scramble to cram last-minute notes, while others wear the tired expressions of sleepless nights.Alex, however, feels an odd sense of calm. Between secret fights in monster-filled portals and the chaos surrounding Elizabeth and Lilac, a written exam feels almost easy in comparison. Still, he knows better than to underestimate it.Peter leans back in his chair, stretching. "You ready for this?" he asks, his usual grin slightly strained."More or less," Alex replies, glancing at the neatly stacked notes on his desk. He catches a glimpse of Elizabeth across the room, she looked as composed as ever, though her fingers tap against her book impatiently. The door swings open, and Teacher Martin strides in with an armful of exam papers. SSS-Ranked Necro-Villain Reward
Alex barely had time to catch his breath before the faint hum grew louder—a low, rhythmic vibration that made the ground tremble beneath his feet. His instincts flared in warning. Something was coming. He turned sharply toward the far end of the chamber, where the shadows seemed to ripple and twist. Then, with a bone-chilling hiss, another snake slithered into view—identical to the first. Two heads, gleaming green scales, and a pair of jagged horns pulsing faintly with power."You've got to be kidding me," Alex muttered, his hands clenching into fists. He was already exhausted, his muscles heavy from draining the first snake's energy. But there was no time to rest, this thing wasn't going to wait. The snake struck first. Both heads lunged in perfect synchronization, forcing Alex to dive to the side. The impact of their missed attack shattered the ground where he had stood moments before, sending shards of stone flying. He landed hard, pain jolting through his body. His regeneration wa

SSS-Ranked Necro-Villain B-Rank
Alex wiped his hands on his hoodie, the foul-smelling ichor of the Caterpillar-Spider still clinging to his skin. His heart pounded in his chest, not just from exertion but from the rush—the thrill of using his abilities in a real fight. This was nothing like the lectures or the training. This was raw, unpredictable, and dangerous. Exactly what he had wanted. The cavern stretched ahead of him, the dim glow of bioluminescent fungi casting eerie shadows against the jagged walls. The air grew colder as he advanced, and the distant clicking sounds grew louder and sharper. More Caterpillar-Spiders. He clenched his fists, his body still aching but pulsing with the energy he had drained from the first monster."Bring it on," he muttered again, stepping forward. As if responding to his challenge, three more Caterpillar-Spiders emerged from the darkness. These were slightly smaller than the first but just as menacing—eight gleaming crimson eyes and venomous fangs dripping with poison. They mov

Alex walked through the streets, looking for any possible job to do — He no longer had any money on him and he wanted to stop depending on Peter, his friend for his feeding.Unlike before when he could not do anything for himself, he now had an ability and with the help of his ability, he would get something doing.Since they were not yet qualified to go on missions, he would do it secretly — no one would find out as long as he hides his identity. He would have gone to his house but he wasn't ready to go there just yet — Not like he was afraid of memories returning, he didn't want to draw attention to himself because he believed that many had their eyes on him — he was certainly being watched."Hey, it's a portal!"As he walked with thoughts in his head, he didn't hear what the people were saying until he arrived at a place where there was a crowd. SSS-Ranked Necro-Villain Sick
"How is she doing?" Alex asked Peter as they both glanced at Elizabeth who was asleep on the bed. She was currently inside Alex's room.Peter narrowed his eyes as he stared at Elizabeth. "She's fine but it seems she exhausted herself way too much. She used too much of her strength while she is not supposed to," he replied.Alex did not understand some parts of what Peter said. "I don't understand," he said. "What do you mean she isn't supposed to use her full strength during fights?""Because she's frail," Peter replied and then sighed before continuing. "You don't know, right? Fine, come with me, let's talk outside."Alex furrowed his brows and then followed Peter outside after glancing at Elizabeth who was yet to open her eyes."So what is it that seems so important?" He asked his friend once they had gotten outside."Elizabeth is not truly the child of Victor Blackwood," Peter said. "She was just adopted because the wife of Victor could not give birth to her own child. There are ci
