The burning symbol in his head scared Sam to set off in a cycle of slack.

“Sammy ” Shirley called out to him

“Yeah, Boss?”

“Stay with us. I know this is all horrifying but we need to keep our calm until the police get here.”

“What are we going to tell the cops?” Stevie said.

“I don’t know.” Sam said.

“We’ll take care of the cops. You two just keep calm till they show up.” House said.

The board of police swens on the air pretreated the over boring silence of the ruined Chow Pow.

The authorities moved in to find the workers studio in the middle of the carnage.

“Everyone move in.” Sheriff McKnight ordered as the police officers moved inside the crime scene, escorting the surviving staff members to safety.

“All units , I need a full sweep of the Chow Pow. Every inch of this restaurant is to be covered in yellow tape. No one gets in until I give the okay.

While the officers covered Sam and the others with blankets, he saw the same voodoo mark from before been brighter in his hard.

“I know you scared, Son sheriff McKnight said, placing his land a Sam’s shoulder. " But we’re gonna stop the person who caused this.”

“Thanks, Uncle Chris.” Sam said.

“Something wrong. you’ve been starting in your hand since. We got you out the restaurant.

“ I think.. It’s back,"

Aaron pulled his nephew to the side with a concerned expression on his face.

" Your voodoo mark ? But you've never embraced your lineage. Have you?"

" No but after what happened tonight, something is pulling me back to it,"

" Everything alright, Sherrif ?, " Shirley asked escorted by an brown skinned female officer with straight hair and Chinese facial features.

" Sheriff, Ms. Hayburner wanted to check up on your nephew, " the female officer said.

" Sam , you remember Officer Stone, “ Aaron said.

“ Sure. Nice to see you again, Officer Stone, “

“ Please call me Felicia ,”

“ Everyone else has already been sent home but since the police are gonna have their hands full, I thought Sam would like a safe place to stay tonight that's not going to be surrounded by sirens.

“ Thank you, Shirley, Aaron said. “ Most of my top officers will be meeting with me at my house to go over our investigation since the the police station is being repaired.

“ Repaired? “ Sam asked.

“Earlier today, the precinct was attacked in a similar way as the Chow was, “ Felicia said.

“ My residence is one of the most discreet houses in town so I offered to rendezvous there,”

“ Thats insane, “ Sam said. “ I guess I don't mind a little sleep over, “

“ Right this way,” Felicia said as Sam and Shirley followed her to her car.

Later that night, Sam and Shirley arrive at Shirley’s house as she prepared him a drink.

Sam reaches for his drink, safely covering its sides and taking a sip.

Samuel.

A masculine voice called out to him before he could found his drink.

Sam placed the cup on the coffee table and turned sharply to the winder believed him Sammie, what’s wrong?,” Shirley asked.

“Um…nothing.”

“Come on, Sammie I know when you’re lying.”

“No you don’t.”

“You look towards the left every time you bond the truth just like when I asked you last week it you ate all the lemon square I made for the break room.”

“What can I say? I love the frosting.”

“Seriously, Sam. I know what we saw was horrible. The chiefs and servers all killed at once. Plus the Chow Pow being destroyed makes it worse.

“Yeah, I just don’t get how this happened. Stevie said a swarm of misquotes were there.”

“It’s hard to explain. Especially for the cops. One minute we’re trying to keep Stevie’s old man away from him. Next thing I know it, the room is being splattered with the guests blood.”

“Wait, the mayor was still there?”

“We tried to keep Stevie away from him but be was procistent.”

“I should call him.

Sam reached for his cell phone but was stepped by Shirley.

“I don’t think how is a good time to speak with Stevie.”

“Why not?”

“He just raw into his old man and like the rest of us saw the blood shed that took place at the restaurant.”

“Sounds like a perfect reason to call him.”

“Maybe you should wait till the money. He’s with his mom now and who knows what they are going them with everything.”

“Okay.” Sam agreed.

“You can pull out the bed in the couch. I’ll get you some sheets and a pillow.”

“Thanks, Boss.”

Shirley left the room as Sam pulled out the mattress from the couch when an ecric wind brushed the back of his neck.

“What the hell? I thought closed the window.”

Sam walked to the window to see it shot closed.

He scratched his head and proceeded to make his bed.

Unknown to him a carnet augured figure with a pertly shaped body and long drow locks tied behind sits back watched Sam within the window.

“Samuel,” the strange funoke said as its eyes gloved green.

The night spiraled with an ammos presence as Sam struggled to enjoy his peaceful shearer.

The young man opened his eyes to find himself in a grave yard closed with grey smog.

“Hello?”

He called at for any sign of normalcy only to be accompanied by the over bearing volone of silence.

He flipped over his palm to find the same voodoo mant glowing with the same intensity is before.

“Why don’t you leave me alone? Whoever you are, I don’t want this stupid mark. You can take it. Just leave me alone.”

Samuel

A mysterious voice called out to him as a dark shadow closed behind him.

“Why the hell dick you bring me to a grave yard? ”One air force uniform look back at him.

“Dad?!”

“Embrace the Vodon.” His father said.

“Wait, why?”

“Embrace the Vodon.”

His father disappeared leaving Sam stuck in the cementary alone.

Dad? Dad.”

Sam’s lives nibbled out his control as more of the strange smog covered the land.

The dark shadow zoomed across Sam, knocking him to the ground.

“What are you?”

Sam learned up and Sam the strange figure stand above him, wreaking a bee mask and a long people check.

“What the hell are you?”

Without answering, the figure opened its mouth, teaching into it, and pulled out a gold packet watch.

“That watch,” Sam’s eyes wide gam as the bizarre creative dangled the shining jewelry in his face.

“Find” the creature said.

“I don’t have that watch. The only person who’d have it would be….”

“Find” the creature repeated before lunging, toward Sam to eat him wide.

As Sam screamed in terror, he found himself back in his bed in the dead of night.

“Sammie,” Shirley called out, running to his side.

“Shirley? I’m back!”

His forehead covered in sweet as his employer wiped his fore had with a hard towel.

“Looks like you, had a bad dream.”

Sam looked into his head as his Voodoo mark curtained to glow with only him being able to see it.

“Something like that.”
