Chapter Seventy One: Aftermath (2)

The moment he plunged through the wall of the first building, Lee knew that things had gone drastically different from how he had hoped, at least what Ryusuke would have hoped. As soon as he touched down on the floor of the first corridor, Lee let his blood aura flare out as much as possible to suffuse the entire building. He scanned through each floor rapidly in search of even a trace of his alpha's residual energy. Or a lack of it more like, since Michael's ability did not tend to leave much behind.

His scan came out negative much to Lee's annoyance. He quickly put aside his disappointment and disconcertion though and refocused his attention on the tracking Blood Magic spell that he had casted earlier. The spell had not picked up any traces of his leader's power in this building, but it had detected a faint hint of a familiar destructive energy lingering in the air around the block.
