Chapter 1: The Anniversary Twist
"Colton, I want you to forward the acceptance mail to Emma. She has always wanted a cooperation with Neon Cosmetic Group, and this is going to be the greatest anniversary gift for her."
"On it, young master. Everything will be processed in a few minutes!" The other caller's voice rang through the speaker of the phone with a mixture of reverence and fear.
Rowen had a broad smile on his face as he settled his cell phone on the table and stared at his watch.
Today was his wedding anniversary with Emma, the girl who had saved his life years ago and whom he had come to love, wishing to spend the rest of his life with her.
He had prepared a mini feast for her at Hilltop Five-Star Hotel, clearing the whole place to recreate the first time they had met, eyes locked into each other and their souls connecting like they had been made for each other even before the world began.
Rowen was beyond excited as he waited for her.
However, his excitement soon began to boil down into a deep sense of apprehension settling in his chest.
The clock in the room seemed to grow louder and even the air turned hot.
It had been three hours since he had been waiting for Emma, hoping that she would show up and they would have the best night of their lives.
His calls weren't going through, Emma wasn't responding to his texts, and worse, she was online and wasn't responding.
"Could something have gone wrong?" he thought. He was now pacing through the top floor, trying to settle his restlessness that only grew even further.
With these thoughts on his mind, he got up from his seat to find her when a familiar voice and pattern of steps hit the halls.
Rowen's mind instantly settled.
He didn't need to look up to know that was his Emma.
A broad smile cut through Rowen's face. He had immediately forgotten about the apprehension that had burned within him while he waited.
He fixed his suit and picked up the rose flowers that Emma loved so much and turned to give them to her.
Then the smile washed off his face in a flash.
Just up ahead, Emma was in another man's arms, kissing him so passionately without a care in the world, leading him into the building by the loins.
The man was obviously hard and Emma was dripping, craving him like an obedient sl*t.
Rowen's jaw dropped; his world, just like his heart, broke into multiple pieces.
He wiped his face, desperate to remove the sight that laid bare before his eyes.
"It has to be a dream."
"There's no way that Emma could be doing this, especially not today. I must be seeing things!"
Rowen said these words to himself; he was desperate to make lies and excuses to ease the pain that hammered on his chest without mercy.
However, the sight before him remained. Even worse, the man gripped her by the a**, his tongue digging deeper into hers, and she didn't resist.
The rose flowers that Rowen held tightly in his hands instantly dropped, and when he opened his mouth to speak, just one word ushered out.
"Emma!" he said through his cracked voice and shattered heart.
The duo that stood before him instantly paused. For the first time, Emma noticed that someone else—her husband—was actually in the room.
The instant their eyes crossed paths, her face blurred into different shades of purple before turning pale from the intensity of the shock.
Her mouth opened to speak, then closed, opened again, and then closed.
And just as the shock came, it was gone.
Her face hardened and she let a smile play on her lips while she stared at him.
"You are here, husband!" Rowen could not tell if that was deliberate mockery or just a statement meant to cover up the embarrassment that she felt at the moment.
She looked around like she was searching for something before turning her gaze fully back to him.
"Hmm, what could you possibly be doing here, Rowen? We both know that you cannot afford this place. So tell me, are you here for a job, or are you here to beg instead?" she asked.
Her face was smug with dark tints of nonchalance.
There was not the tiniest shade of guilt on her face, not even the slightest bit of shame for what she had done and the fact that she had been caught red-handed by the one she had vowed to love on the altar and in the presence of witnesses three years ago.
Rowen scoffed, then his face hardened into a frown that was only meant to control the rage and the hurricane of pain that crashed into the edges of his soul.
"Shouldn't the question be what you are doing with another man, Emma, when today is our freaking wedding anniversary?" he almost growled.
"Oh this?" Emma turned around to the young man that she had walked in with.
"This is Fred, the CEO of Ravetech and one of the fastest-rising companies in the city!" she added, like she was introducing a god to Rowen, someone that he was supposed to show respect and bow to.
"What are you still doing here, Rowen? You should bow and show your respect. It ain't every day you get to meet someone that can change your life with a call!"
This time, Rowen didn't miss the mockery in that tone. Those words were meant to crush him, and compared to how she folded into the hands of the young man and disrespected him, it was nothing.
"So this is the useless husband that you told me about. The one that sucks all day and leeches on you. I remember you calling him the biggest mistake of your lifetime!" Fred said.
Rowen's hands clenched tightly as he said those words, giving Fred the satisfaction to go even further with the derogatory statements.
He clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"He's even more miserable than I thought. Hey bro, since you have been taking care of my girl for three years and you've been playing fetch for her, why don't I reward you and give you a place as a cleaner in my company?"
"Aww, that's so caring of you, Fred!" Emma said, with her eyes lifted.
"You should take the offer quickly, Rowen. This might be the only opportunity you get to eat properly."
Rowen ignored her words. He drew closer, his eyes locked against hers.
"Emma, you dare to cheat on me with another man, you disrespect me on our wedding anniversary, and this is all you have to say?"
Emma's face suddenly turned cold and hostile, dripping with so much hate the instant he said this.
"And what do you expect me to do? Freaking beg you? You must be out of your senses, Rowen, to think someone like me, way above your league, would stoop so low to do that!" she thundered.

The Urban God Of Riverdale Chapter 28
CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT Amidst the stillness in the hall was rising tension that steamed up into the atmosphere, even the air could feel it. “I can’t believe this! He could Rowen embarrass me that way?” Sandra said aloud pacing from one end to the other. Her fist clutched together in a tightened grip. She was fuming and each step she took increased the anger inside of her. “Sandra! Sandra!” The female voice called out from the other room, but Sandra was too annoyed to respond. Lady Brooks rushed into the room almost tripping to the floor with her smartphone in her right hand. “Sandra!” “Not now mum! Not now.” Sandra said to her mother with an obvious tune that pointed out that she wasn’t in the mood to listen to whatever she had to say. “You should see this! This is really bad!” Lady Brooks said approaching her daughter gradually. “What is it mum?” Sandra asked, suddenly developing some interest to what her mother came to speak to her about. “This!” Lady Brooks said and placed

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN “Thank you for you time, I will go now.” Rowen said, then he turned and made his way towards the exit with the burden of disappointment weighing him down gradually. Rowen knocked on the door and one of the guards opened it to let him out. Taking in enough air, he exhaled sharply as he took the first step out of the room through the large wooden door.As she looked at him going out, Scarlett was pained that she couldn’t meet up with her own end of the bargain. She looked at her mother, but her eyes were closed and she didn’t look like she was going to open them anytime soon. “This is not right Dad! Not right at all.” “Maybe when you know what plans I have you would appreciate me.” Mr. Gomez said but by the time he had finished talking, Scarlett had already stormed out of the room. “Come back Scarlett! Why do you bother yourself so much.” Mr. Gomez called out to his daughter but she was already out of the room and far from sight. “Wait Rowen! Please wait I beg

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX “Please, Daddy. I made a promise! Don’t make me look like a fool.” Scarlett pleaded with her father but the look on the man’s face clearly indicated that he was not going to agree to her request. “If he thinks he deserves anything other than doing his job apart from the money which I was willing to give to him, then I don’t think that is possible.” Mr. Gomez barked not eager to go back on his decision. Scarlett turned her gaze towards Rowen and seeing the disappointment glaring on his face made her heart sink. Not only was she sad that she wasn’t going to be keeping her promise, but she was also sad that she could lose her friendship with him. “Mum? Say something.” Scarlett turned to her mom in search of support but the woman only hissed and rolled her eyes at Rowen. “Please, Dad. Just do this for me and I promise, I won’t bother you for any other favor.” Mr. Gomez was silent and from his stillness, one would really think he didn’t hear the words spoken by his

The Urban God Of Riverdale Chapter 25
CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE “Thank you!” He said surprisingly to the amazement of Rowen who responded with a smile. Then he extended his hand to the bedspread and scooped some of the blood with his fingers. With his fingers rubbing hard on the blood, he observed the blood and sighed in satisfaction. “Silas? Silas are you alright?” Clara asked, straining from her bed to look at her son who seemed rather quiet and didn’t move. “Yeah, I am fine,” Silas responded without recognizing the voice that had spoken to him. Gradually, he turned to see who it was as the voice sounded faint but familiar. “Mum? What is going on here? Scarlett? Dad?” He said blinking his eyes gradually as a result of the blurry vision he had. “Rest son, everything will be explained to you later.” Mr. Gomez said to his son still holding on to Silvia’s hand tenderly caressing it. “Oh, Rowen! Thank you very much! I am super grateful, my family and I would forever be indebted to you!” Scarlett said as she got up and embrac
