Chapter 4 Destroy everything

“Now have you realized how stupid you are for blurting out this nonsense,” his uncle reprimanded him. He was very angry with him. Any way it was also his fault for not making his investigation before coming.

“How powerful is the ring?” Vivian asked with curiosity. This is the first time she has heard such a thing. 

The ring bearer is the most powerful in America. He is the leader of all the mafia organizations and his every word is a commandment that needs to be carried without any hesitation.” Zane’s uncle replied. 

At the thought of offending the most  powerful man makes him want to shoot himself. He has always thought his nephew was a wise person but its seems his judgement was wrong, he underestimated him. He is the most foolish and dumbest person on this Earth. He regrets not making an investigation before coming. Now what is he going to do?

When Vivian heard the man's explanation, she was shocked to the core. Wow when did he gain such power  and what happened,” she asked herself a series of questions. She regretted letting this  golden opportunity slip through her hands.  Any way Anyways happened and already happened, there is nothing she could do than to continue with the marriage.

“So what if he is a mafia boss, he is still an ex-convict and nothing could ever change that,” she blurted out. 

The guest who knew the power of the ring all stared at her with a mocking gaze. They all thought she was dumb. How could she utter “such nonsense.”

Charles uncle stared at her with pity and shook his head. He couldn’t be bothered by this dummy. She would put him in trouble if he says anything to her. 

Reagan was shocked at the discovery. He has been silence all this while trying to digest what he just heard. He had always known about this ring because his father owns one of the biggest organizations. His father has been talking about it everyday so he knows the kind of power the ring bears.

“Where did he get the ring from?” he was perplexed.

He ceased thinking when heard Vivian nonsense.

Such a stupid woman, this man can take away your life without being questioned. If I were you, I would have kneel down to apologize.” One guest scolded her. That guest was a manager in one of the big mafia organizations.

“Yes he is right, he can drive all family away from this country and can even throw all family into the sea.”

“What, what have you done Vivian?” her mother cried out. 

Her mother was not in support of her marriage. She had advised her to wait for Zane but due to greediness, her husband and her daughter played a death ear to her advise. She sized him and sign with regret, if only they had listened to her.

She  was silenced all this while because she and her were  in no position to talk because of their status. So they were silenced all this while watching the shows.

Many people think they are rich because they own Zane’s company but the truth was, they only have forty percent shares in the company. The rest belong to Charles and his family. Charles was already rich when he deceived Vivian into giving him the company and he has never given the them opportunity to share their ideas.

“My son, can you please let it go, I know what she did was very painful but to ere is human and to forgive is divine,” she pleaded.

“ Your daughter has wrong me and she must pay for her sins, he didn’t give in to him.

If I were you, I would have shut up my mouth in order to save myself.” Zane continued to scold her.

Vivian’s mother shut her mouth, she didn’t want to make the devil angry.

Charles uncle saw the situation was getting out of hands, he decided to plea for mercy.

“Boss please let your servant go, Charles uncle bowed to Zane. 

Zane paid a death ear to him, he would deal with him after he is done with the shameless couples.

Charles stood still, he was still in shock and was trying to process what just happened. He couldn’t accept the outcome. This was a big blow to him. A blow he didn’t see coming. A blow that came impromptu and didn’t give him the chance to dodge. 

“I came to destroy this wedding and nothing could stop me,” Zane declared. He took his phone and called a strange number. Very soon a group of people dressed in black rushed to the venue. 

“ Destroy everything, never leave a thing.” He commanded his men.

“No please, let us go, I am sorry. Please Zane don’t destroy the wedding.”  Vivian cried out. She took a step forward and was about to grab his hands, but he dodged with disgust in his eyes. 

“You shouldn’t have taken my love for granted Vivian. Your greediness will destroy you, I will teach you a lesson you will live to your grandchildren.” He scolded her sternly.

“Just because you are the mafia king doesn’t mean you can do r you want. We have a law in this country, you can’t take the law into your hands.” Charles gfitted his teeth and roared.

“Well if you have forgotten, let me remind you of what you have forgotten, the law was still alive when you trampled over it. You put me behind bars for five years when I was supposed to spend only one year in prison.

The law only favors the rich and tramples on the poor. 

I am Zane Chucks, I can do anything I want with the law and no one would dare question me,” he boasted with pride.

Charles was burning with rage when he saw how proud Zane is. He was just a nobody, why did his status change overnight? He would do everything to send him to his previous position.  Once a duckling always a duckling.

“Destroy everything, never leave even a pin,” he snapped out of thought when he heard Zane’s commandments.

The group of men started scattering everything with the sticks they brought with them. 

“ Please stop it, please stop it! Vivian shouted and covered her ears with her hands but no one paid attention to her. She was in a desperate position. This is a huge blow to her, she will be a laughingstock People are going to no k her. She couldn’t imagine what would happen to her when she step out of this hall.

  The guest presented were all screaming out of fear. Most of the took to their heels except the gossips who wanted to watch everything till the end.
