Sleep Paralysis

3:30 in the morning.

Darkness, screams, and despair.

Sam Feder moved in his bed, from one side to the other, feeling how his breathing became increasingly agitated, as if suddenly he had wanted to start to get upset, to stop functioning normally. .

For him, it was extremely strange that he was going through this situation.

“Sam? Honey? Are you OK?" Sam heard a female voice, completely sweet in every way, speak to him.

Little by little, with difficulty, Sam had returned to normal, and he woke up, suddenly and with labored breathing, he was in a cold sweat, and he could see that his girlfriend, Madeline, was staring at him with concern, as she was lying down. on the side of his bed.

"Love? Are you OK? What happened to you? What were you dreaming about?” his girlfriend asked him, still speaking with concern.

Sam couldn't speak, he couldn't move, it felt like her body had experienced, at that moment, a sleep paralysis that he didn't really know how to get rid of.

However, and Sam had a bad feeling, an internal voice screamed at Sam that the woman he was seeing was not his girlfriend, it was not Madeline, the love of his life, because he and Madeline had ended their relationship relationship, more than a year and a half ago, when they discovered that their differences did not mesh well enough to continue leading a life together.

Although Sam missed Madeline a lot and wanted her to be his girlfriend again, he had not looked for her again since the last argument they both had, because that fight was too strong for both of them, in addition, it was the trigger they needed to give their relationship of four and a half years ended.

Sam knew that Madeline wasn't there, lying next to her, in the small house where he was the one who lived there.

He didn't know how, but out of nowhere, it seemed that the light in his room had turned on, or perhaps, he was wondering, Could it be that he left the light on all night so he could sleep peacefully when he came home from finishing his shift? In the cemetery? No, it was impossible for that to happen, because Sam had arrived home around eight in the morning, his shift partner had arrived at the cemetery to take his shift around seven fifteen in the morning, therefore, It was impossible that the light in his room would have stayed on all night if he hadn't arrived home at that time.

Sam, the only thing he has remembered is that he got home, his mind all the way back, while he walked until he got there because finally he didn't live too far from there to have to use public transportation.

Suddenly, his image begins to distort, in the blink of an eye, Madeline was no longer with him, now, he was completely alone at home, in his room, with his body paralyzed, unable to move, not even his fingers. He could feel them, it was as if he had suddenly lost all his mobility so he could breathe, see, smell, feel, and hear everything that was happening around him.

Sam tried to scream, but it was like a tape had been taped to his mouth, so he couldn't say anything.

It was then, when his worst nightmare appeared, a figure of what seemed to be a man, painted all in black, looking as if he were a kind of shadow that with each look, grew without stopping until his bald head was stuck the ceiling and could not grow any further from there.

For Sam, that moment was perhaps one of the most terrifying of his entire life, after having experienced what happened to him in the cemetery the night before.

His eyes have widened from the terror that his body was feeling, and even more, he was worried that that sinister apparition wanted to harm him because he had no way of at least fleeing from there to take shelter.

The most terrifying thing about that figure that appeared in front of him was having to look into his eyes, because those eyes were nothing more than a pair of empty sockets, but they were illuminated by a pair of red flashes, and Although, that wasn't completely terrifying in itself, his damn unexpected presence was what was scaring Sam more than usual.

It is assumed that, then, because Sam works in a cemetery and in the worst shifts, which are the night shifts, he should have been used to having to experience these situations, however, that was not the case, Sam was very scared, he wanted to run away, but his body didn't want to allow it.

Little by little, the black figure approached Sam, leaning its body forward, as if it wanted to look at him more closely, staring into his eyes, its size was much larger than normal, it had literally reached the ceiling.

So, actually, it wasn't very difficult for him to quickly approach Sam and stare into his eyes for a couple of seconds.

Sam felt terror run through his entire body, he wanted to scream for help, but he still couldn't do it.

It was then that, right there, the black figure completely opened its mouth, letting out a high-pitched cry of lamentation and terror from what seemed to sound like a woman and not a man as the black figure painted its gender to be.

When that thing screamed, Sam felt the room around him shake.

It was a pretty strong tremor, his bed was moving too much, and the terrifying scream was about to damage the eardrums in his ears.

The few things that he had hanging on the walls, such as portraits with his family, crucifixes because he was Christian, had begun to fall to the floor, and from the mouth of the black figure, disgusting insects that fell on Sam Feder began to come out in his face.
