Survival’s Path
“Yeah, I’m sure he’ll be back,” Kaelan said.
“We need to leave.” Kaelan picked the four daggers up then headed for the door. The duo left the room and made their way down the stairs.
“Huh? Are you leaving?” the innkeepers voice sounded behind them. Two scythe is hand, each connected to chains. “You havent paid your clean up fee. Im sure you two messed up the room with your fun.”
Kaelan raised a brow, but Lira spoke first. “How much?”
“Ten Sarls.”
She didnt complain. She placed it on the front desk beside and asked, “can we leave now?”
“Yes, yes. Do come again. I like customers like…” the innkeeper paused. His grip on the scythe got tighter. “Tch, they are back again.”
Liras ears twitched, and her hand tightened around her dagger. “They are here,” Kaelan said, while looking around.
A shadow moved across the broken window. Then, the door burst inward, splintering at the edges.
Three assassins tumbled in, cloaked in black, daggers flashing in the dim light. One lunged straight for Kaelan.
Kaelan bent to the side, letting the blade slash past him. He grabbed the table and swung it, smashing the first attacker into the wall. The impact sent dust into the air, and the man groaned.
“Hey! My Sarls,” yelled the innkeeper. Glass shattered as assassins came in through the window. “I’m gonna kill ya,” he said and charged at them.
Lira was already moving, slicing, dodging. Her attacker was fast, but she was faster. Kaelan tossed a dagger at him. It pierced his neck from behind. Lira turned to him, but he didnt pause. He grabbed the third assassin, swung him like a rag, smashing his back into the wall.
Kaelan bolted out the inn and Lira leapt after him.

The Underestimated Cripple Is A Miracle Doctor
"Oh shut up, please!" Olivia said dismissively without any hesitation, standing up and folding her arms to her chest.
Jason looked shocked, his eyes moved to her, then to the others, who still hadn’t said a word in his defense.
"Why have you chosen to be this useless?" she continued in a low growl. "You haven’t worked a single day since we got married. Maybe you just like sitting in that chair, being pitiful, and using it as your excuse for why you're a broke man."
Jason’s teeth clenched. He wanted to defend himself, to explain again, but the moment he opened his mouth, Olivia raised a hand.
"Don’t say a word, I’m not done. You think you can play the victim forever? My family paid for your therapy, flew you around the world, gave you access to the best doctors, and yet here you are, back with the same damaged spine and still sitting in that chair." She rubbed her forehead.
Jason lowered his gaze, disappointed at her reaction but he didn’t talk.

Left on His Wedding Night, the War God Returned
Kevin Hart never knew what it felt like to be truly loved.
His father abandoned him. His mother raised him alone, sacrificing everything until the day she died, leaving him an orphan before he was old enough to understand what home meant.
With her final breath, she held his trembling hand.
"I'm sorry, Kevin... Mom can't stay with you anymore."
He was still too young to bury the only person who had ever loved him.
Standing before her grave, tears streaming down his face, he whispered,
"Mom... I'll make you proud."
With nothing left, he was sent into the military, where pain became his teacher and the battlefield became his family.
Years later, the broken boy rose to become GODsFALL—the most feared War God alive. Kingdoms trembled at his name. Enemies prayed they would never meet him.
Then he met Sarah.
For the first time, Kevin laid down his sword. He walked away from power, glory, and bloodshed to become nothing more than an ordinary husband. He believed love was worth every sacrifice.
But on their wedding night, Sarah walked out to be with another man.
Alone in a room filled with untouched champagne and shattered promises, Kevin finally understood a cruel truth:
The world had never chosen him.
Not as a son.
Not as a child.
Not even as a husband.
The man who gave up everything was left with nothing.
This time, he would never beg for love again.
The War God had returned.

THE RETURN HEIR
Max stepped forward, his heart racing as he searched the man’s face, looking for some resemblance, some hint of familiarity. “Who… who are you?” he managed to ask, his voice barely above a whisper.
The man studied him for a moment before responding, his voice thick with emotion. “I am Reginald Reid, your grandfather.”
The words hit Max like a thunderbolt. “Grandfather?” he echoed, his mind racing. He had never imagined he had a family, much less one of such prominence.
Reginald nodded, his gaze filled with a mixture of pride and regret. “Yes, Max. You are my grandson, and the last direct heir of the Reid family.”

Max’s mind swirled with confusion. “But… why didn’t I know? Why didn’t anyone tell me?”
A flicker of pain crossed Reginald’s face. “There were… complicated reasons. When your parents passed away under tragic circumstances, it was decided that you should be raised away from the family, for your own safety. It was not an easy choice, but it was necessary.”
Max’s heart twisted at the mention of his parents. He’d spent his end of the year
