I Will Change The Genre

Book 2 of the Dragon Lord Series. (Can be read as standalones, but better yet read the first book so you can have a better understanding of the book’s storyline) Everything was taken away from me, my wife, my son, the few people I care about were all stripped away from my grip. They’re going to come back for me, to usurp my dominance, and to cease the existence of my loved ones. I don’t plan on just giving them a hard time, I intend to give them their hardest time. Because, I’m going to protect what is mine, and mop the ground with those that seek to harm them.

[What will you do now?] "The stage has been set, and the doors will be opening soon. I also need to do my part." [And what was your part?] "One Last Chance." The room was in silence as Delight looked at Desire and asked, [A sinner or a saint?] "Depends on the way of the viewer."

She slipped off the engagement ring, her voice cold. “You’ll never be the man I need,” she said, walking out and leaving me broken. Years later, as I stood successful and untouchable, she begged for my help. My heart ached, but I turned away. “You made your choice,” I whispered.

Well, like any other virus affecting the world, this one came all too sudden and with little control. Early morning on Monday, I prepared my son Javi to go to school. I packed his lunch, water, and breakfast for the whole day. It has been a routine for years that it only takes me an hour or so. At exactly 6:30 am, I led my son to board the school Van to go to school. I said hi to the school driver and the teacher on duty before going back into the house. I had so many things to do. I was done with laundry and heading to the kitchen when I heard shouting's from outside. We live on the third floor, room number 205. My husband worked at a research facility. For the last few days, he had been busy and had little time to spend with us. Which is normal regarding his line of work. Saving people's lives I rushed to the balcony to see what was happening, and I was stunned. People were attacking each other. It was weird. When two people attack each other, then it may be normal. When a whole lot of people attack and bite each other, then it's something else. My neighbor was also on the balcony looking outside. "What's happening?" I curiously asked the neighbor Before she could answer me, her husband came rushing to her and bit her on her neck. I was shocked and shouted at them. "What are you doing? Let her be?" He could not hear me.

A hero must be compassionate, selfless and courageous. But that isn't all. Because a hero must also be powerful. In this world, power is everything. Strength decides who gets to save lives and who's left with community service. That’s why I was nothing — a rank 50 E-Class reject, skating through the streets, saving what little I could while the real heroes battled gods and monsters. Then one day, I died. Almost.
