CHAPTER ONE: AEON….
The sounds of chariots and horses running around made the boy who was sleeping under the shed open his eyes and he had to cover his eyes from the scorching sun and get acquainted with the environment for a moment. His forehead creased into a frown when he saw himself in an unfamiliar environment, what was he doing here and how did he get here? Was it a dream in a dream? He didn’t have time to think much because the sound of horses made him turn and he could see everyone hastily kneeling down and bowing to the man who was on the horse. He was dressed as a soldier and the boy was wondering who it was.“This is a decree from your god” the heavily built man allowed the words to roll out of his mouth and he could see all of them cower in fear except a particular boy who was not more than twenty years and he was staring deep into his eyes.“You” the man on the horse pointed at the still dazzled boy, “come here”The boy still sat, he didn’t know if he was the one being referred to.“Aeon ''

It was already past sundown when Ayita and Aoen slowly made their way towards the huge palace gates. Several other people were also going towards the gate and the aura of fear kept radiating from them, it was like they were been led to the slaughter house.“Why does everyone look so dead?” Aoen had to ask.“You will see when we get to the palace,” Ayita answered. They squeezed their way through the huge crowd and finally found a spot at the front while hiding away from the guards. Anyone who was found trying to cause trouble was immediately clubbed to death. The huge gold coated throne sitting beautifully on the pavellion caught Aeon’s attention and he couldn’t help but wonder just how rich Persia was. From where hw was standing, he could see the magic core and it looked so beautiful with all the energies surrounding it while encloved in a glass like ball.“Make haste and bow” a guard with a loud trumpet announced as he walked into their midst, “your god has arrived” Everyone began t

Ayita was busy spreading some linens on the rope when Aeon sauntered into the compound, he had an apologetic look on his face while the lady saw him and rolled her eyes, she knew people like him. He would always cause trouble no matter what.“What are you doing here?” “Are you still mad?” Aeon asked as he helped her spread the linen on the rope, “I can feel your aura from here”Ayita rolled her eyes, “so?”“Aren’t you scared you will be found out one day?” He asked the question that was in his mind, “that Magnus would not spare you if he finds out you have been hiding it for years now”Ayita stopped what she was doing, “how did you know?” Her voice was laced with a lot of worry. How did a stranger know a lot about her?“I just know it, like it comes in my head and I when I say it I get to know it’s right”“Where are you from exactly?” Ayita finally asked, “you know showed up at the market and no one knows you”“I also don’t know me at this point Ayita, so I can’t tell you anything ab

Magnus was stunned for a moment, he was dumbfounded. What the hell just happened?“What level of magic are you on?” He asked again but Aeon kept mum which angered the Magnus again. He took two steps towards him and peered into his eyes but what shocked him the most was that he didn’t find any kind of energy in his eyes. Someone with magical abilities could not hide his powers no matter what, this was different.Aeon scoffed, he could see the confused look on his face and this gladdened his heart.“You didn’t find anything huh?”Magnus was quiet for a while before beckoning on the army general.“My lord” he bowed.“Bring the enchantress to the palace now”“Yes lord” The general went to work while Magnus turned his attention to Aeon again.“You can’t hide for long, you know that right?”“Let Ayita go,” Aeon blurted.Magnus smirked, then he turned to his soilder,“Lock him up, I will figure out what to do with him later” after talking, Magnus strode out of the room angrily while the gua

Everything happened so fast and by the time Aeon realized what was happening, Magnus’s guards were already after him and he began to run. The seven savage beasts were all lifeless on the floor and the whole arena was in turmoil as everyone was struggling to get out of the place alive.“Aeon!!!!” He heard someone scream his name and he stopped running only for him to see the guards taking Ayita away again. Now he was torn between running for his life and going to save her but how could he save her now? He lost a great deal of his strength during the fight and now he was on the run, even if Magnus wanted to kill Ayita, he was not going to do it so easily. With that in mind, he turned his attention to the road ahead and continued his escape while the cries of Ayita filled his ears.Magnus promised to make her into one of his harems and that was going to buy a little time for him, he just had to lie low for a while. The guards continued to chase him and the army commander was the one lead

A bucket of cold water was splashed on him and the boy opened his eyes hastily while trying to cough his eyes out. The only thing he remembered was the fact that he was being dragged on the floor with a horse and he ended up losing consciousness because of the pain. Now he could see he was in front of a great army while Magnus was before him, seated on his throne as usual. It was like he had more of those thrones everywhere.Aeon used that opportunity to study the man very well, from what he has heard Magnus bane could only use level two magic and whoever was able to use that level with him either got his powers taken or even killed. Unknowingly his eyes flew to the core orb and he could see it emitting a lot of energy, this was how Magnus was able to hold the people. With their own powers.“You” a guard pointed at him and he was jolted back from his reverie of thought, “bow to your god” “I…” the young lad wanted to talk but he was roughly pushed to the ground.“Bow to your god, boy”

CHAPTER SEVEN.
Magnus sauntered into the room and his lips curled into a smile when he saw the person who was kneeling at the foot of his bed. Obedience was one thing he loved the most.“My god” Ayita bowed again. With a smirk hovering on his lips, he moved closer to her and yanked her up. His eyes spitting something she could not fathom.Ayita was scared, this was the life that was befitting of her now. She was no longer the Ayita that everyone knew, she was now among one of his many harem and it was a reality she could not escape no matter what.“You tried so hard to escape right?” Magnus asked as he lowered himself on the bed, “that is a very stupid decision you made”“I am sorry my lord” Ayita’s face was to the ground and tears were already welling up in her eyes, “spare me and I will forever live to serve you and your generations to come my lord”Magnus bane was quiet for a while, his eyes holding an unfathomable abyss of darkness.“Rise” he ordered and Ayita jumped on her feet, fear emanating

CHAPTER EIGHT.
Pledging his undying allegiance to the Magnus meant he was willing to serve him for life and was that going to be worth it? The fact that Ayita was already standing beside him as one of the members of his harem was already a hard nut for him to crack, it was heartbreaking.“The lord has spoken to you, Aeon” one of the guards yelled, “do not keep him waiting”Everyone was suprised at how calm and collected the magus was. It was typical of him to kill or torture anyone who has gone against him but here he was pardoning Aeon for the umpteenth time, it seems he already had his own plans.Aeon’s eyes went over to Ayita and he could see the fear and sadness radiating from her, the tears in her eyes said a lot more than her lips.“Do you pledge your allegiance to me?” Magnus bane asked again, this time the hint of anger in his voice did not go unnoticed by everyone around. His patience was wearing thin and he was about to explode like a volcano.“I pledge my allegiance to serve you all the d

CHAPTER NINE.
Half an hour ago.Just as he sauntered out of the throne room into the busy walls of the palace, Aeon found a quiet place and sat down. A lot was going through his mind and he was using that opportunity to study the palace. The Magnus had thousands of people who worked for him and he could see the orb glistening with energy from where he was seated. Aeon began to wonder how many people’s powers were contained in that orb and what would happen if it was broken. Well how could he break it? He hardly even knows how he got here to talk more of doing anything to save the people of Persia. He was also like a lost cause.“Aeon” someone called his name from beside him and he turned to see that old woman from the market which made his eyes light up. He was actually looking for her and thankfully she brought herself to him.“Do you know me?” This was the first thing he asked and the old woman chuckled lightly before taking a seat beside him. She was not scantily clad like the rest of the Pers

CHAPTER TEN.
The horses continued to gallop around the marketplaces with Aeon leading the team while the people scrambled away for safety. Being caught by the Magnus was going to spell trouble and that was the last thing on any Persian mind. They continued galloping away without getting sight of the blasphemous woman and this made Magnus stop his horse and the others also came to a halt.“Are you trying to make a mockery of me?” He asked in an angry tone while holding onto the reins of his horse tightly.Aeon jumped down from his horse and bowed to the ground,“The gods forbid that I should do such atrocious act against one of its own my lord, I have heard her speak such foul words against you and I ran to tell you, I can not lie to the man who think like the gods”Magnus Bane nodded, he loved the fact that he was making mention of his omnipotence.“Describe this woman, Aeon” Zander ordered, “how does she look?”“As old as she can be” Aeon answered, “my lord I won’t dare to lie to you”“Seize eve
