“My Lord, are you sure you want to transfer your entire property to your wife? Your grandfather believes this decision is unwise because the moment you sign these papers, you will lose everything you have worked so hard to achieve over the years.”

On the rooftop of one of the most luxurious hotels in Sera, an old man stood confidently in his ancient Chinese attire, holding a stack of documents.

Standing before him was Ethan—the powerful CEO of GCR Group who had been keeping his identity a secret for over four years.

The moment he heard what his grandfather said, he scoffed.

“So after everything that man did to me, he still had the nerve to tell me how to spend my wealth?”

The old man wanted to speak in defence of Ethan's grandfather but Ethan cut him off!

Ten years ago, Ethan had been the grandson of the CEO of the richest oil-producing company in Sera—Mr. Wong.

Yet, despite his bloodline, Ethan had been cast away from the family.

They believed he was bad luck.

His father was regarded as nothing more than an incompetent figure within the entire Wong family.

Whatever Ethan or his father did was never good enough.

Then one day, tragedy struck.

Ethan’s father fell deeply sick.

The hospital demanded $2.5 million before they would even lay a hand on him.

Ethan and his mother pleated desperately with the doctors, but no way.

Left with no other choice, they decided to gather the funds themselves.

Ethan remembered his mother warning him;

“Don’t go anywhere, Son. I will go meet your uncles from the Wong family. I’m close to them, and I’m sure they will help us, okay?”

That was what she believed.

Until she stood before her husband’s elder brother and cried to him to help lend her some money to treat her husband.

Instead of helping her out, he gave her a condition.

“Kneel before me, and allow me to make love to you. Only then shall I give you the money!”

This was something that went completely against Vanessa’s morals.

She begged him to reconsider, but he refused.

Time was running out, and her husband was slipping closer to death.

With no one else to turn to, she was forced to agree to his condition.

Afterward, when it was over, the man sent her away, saying she was a slut and would never help her.

He also recorded the entire sex footage, cropping his face out.

Without a word of apology, he threw her out.

Ethan, driven by desperation and the need to save his family, was forced to go and beg his grandfather for help.

He arrived at the Wong mansion with his mother, holding onto a fragile hope that the old man would show mercy.

Instead, the moment they stepped inside, his grandfather handed him a smartphone.

“Watch this!”

It was a video of Ethan's mother—Vanessa, making love with an unknown man.

“Your mother has brought great shame to this family! If your father is dying, then let him die! I do not care! Now get out!” Mr Wong yelled.

Ethan and his mother begged…

But no one listened.

No one cared.

They were still within the estate when Ethan’s uncle sent some men to kill them both.

Realizing what was happening, they fled for their lives.

As they ran, Vanessa suddenly fell.

She forced herself— “Go ahead, Ethan! Run!”

Ethan stopped immediately. “What about you, Mother? I can’t leave you here all by yourself!”

Vanessa looked back and saw the men closing in fast.

She pushed Ethan hard.

“Go already, Son! Mom will follow you. Let’s pretend this is hide and seek. You run first—I’ll follow!”

Ethan had no reason to delay any longer.

He ran.

He didn’t know how long he had been running when a loud gunshot echoed through the night.

Ethan turned back.

And shone his eyes wide….

Blood spilled from his mother’s mouth as she collapsed to the ground.

From that horrifying scene, Ethan could only recognize one person— Michael Darlington.

His father’s junior brother..

“You all need to die, Including your son. That’s the only way I can become the next heir of GCR.” Said Darlington

Before Ethan could even scream, Darlington released the bullet again.

This was the second shot and it ended his mother's life.

Darlington turned away, looking forward only to see Ethan standing there.

He pointed at Ethan, yelling at his men.

“Go after that kid. Make sure you kill him. Right now!”

Ethan ran faster than he ever had in his life.

Luckily, he managed to get away from those men.

After escaping, he hid inside an unfinished building and started crying for the death of his mother, and his sick father in the hospital.

With trembling hands, he pulled out his phone and called City Hospital to check on his father.

The call connected almost immediately.

“Hello, am I speaking with the City Hospital? I want to check up on my Father, Mr Josh Wong!”

When he asked about his father's health condition, the receptionist could only give him one brief reply.

“Please hold on… Mr. Josh Wong Loner?” she said gently, before exploding the news. “I’m very sorry, dear. Your father passed away. Time of death—3:40 PM. You’ll need to come to the hospital to obtain his death certificate.”

The phone slipped from Ethan’s hands as tears streamed down his face.

“They killed My Mom, and today? Because of them, my father also died!”

“I will make them pay,” he vowed. “Every single person involved in the death of my parents… I swear I will make them pay.”
