Chapter 7: Bottomless Valley (2)

I raised my head when the carriage stopped. Looking forward were Somi and Roni who were both staring at me. The heavy voice of the vice-captain made us all look outside.

The vice-captain now opened the door and checked on the state of everyone inside the carriage.

The person who was usually laughing full of jokes now looked serious while still smiling. The long sword that was always in the side area of his waist was now at arm's length on guard.

"Yong master, young miss. Wait a moment, our knight will take care of this."

Just from the open door, Myru could see a group of bandits surrounding our party.

"Khahahaha! Hand over all your treasures you noble blood!"

They looked numerous and also enough to make a large circle outside our sizable party. Their clothes looked dirty, the bandits' faces were typical of people who hadn't bathed in weeks, laughing loudly and various weapons were around them.

I asked. "Can you guys handle it?"

The vice-captain laughed lightly. "Young master, don't underestimate the knights of Velreidom. All this will be sorted out in a matter of minutes, we promise. please stay in the carriage and don't come out because we can handle it."

I looked at my two younger siblings who were both afraid and curious, peering through the window at the battle going on outside.

The sound of swords clashing could be heard from all directions. The vice-captain closed the carriage door, staring at the group of bandits who were ready to fight at any moment.

The other knights had already spread out to protect the marquess and the other carriages.

"Hit it! Hit it!

"OHH YEE"

"Seize the treasure!"

"Rich!"

The sound of cheering filled Myru's ears. Velreidom's vice-captain pressed his neck, his steps advancing along with the other knights.

"Protect lord and lady!"

The vice-captain waved his sword and fought several bandits at once.

They seemed weaker than Velreidom. Perhaps the strength of Velreidom's knights was not mere nonsense, the proof was that there were currently several enemies who had fallen.

"Their numbers seem to be quite large for bandits," I said quietly.

Ben, who was already on the train to see how Myru and the twins were doing, replied. "They seemed to have gotten information that there would be nobles passing through, so they increased their personnel," Ben said.

Myru's eyes were still looking around. They were fast.

Although the ratio could be as high as three times, Velreidom's knights had almost eliminated half of the bandits.

Myru followed the direction of the vice-captain who waved his sword freely along with his men. It looked like Marquez and the Marquis would be safe too.

On the other hand, the bandits did not lose enthusiasm, even though they they had already lost some of their friends, their laughter seemed more excited when they managed to injure Velreidom's knight. They pulled the knight and brought him to the back.

"Is he okay?" Roni asked worriedly. Wait, kids like them aren't meant to see things like this.

Although this was a common occurrence in the world of novels, especially the fantasy type, they were still young. Myru looked at Ben and signaled him.

"Young master, it's not good to see such things, young miss, let's come and play together."

Well done Ben.

That person was hurt, Myru said to herself.

His eyes looked at the bandit who returned to the front row wearing the knight's clothes and threw some money that the knight was holding earlier. No, the knight who was just now may be dead at the moment.

The bandits' crazy smiles and laughter surrounded the entire carriage. They humiliated and also heated the Velreidom knight.

"Don't let your guard down!"

The knight was re-energized. It had only been about 1o minutes, but it felt like a very long time. This was the first time Myru had witnessed a ring being killed in person. Of course, the ones killed were the bandits. Their bodies were lying on the road, but the men seemed to have no intention of retreating.

"They'll run away soon."

Myru nodded at Ben's words. With time, they would realize that if they continued this, the group of bandits would lose more strength. Just like Ben said, in just five minutes the Velreidom knights had held off all the remaining bandits. They were all now in a crouched position.

The vice-captain came back to our carriage.

"It's done, Please wait a moment, the trip will start again when the local police come and secure the bandits."

Myru was curious and dismounted to see the situation.

"Let me accompany you," the vice chairman said when he saw me dismount. I approached the Marquess who was looking me up and down.

"How are the children?"

'They're safe, don't worry."

The old man must have been worried about his youngest son and daughter who were on a different train from him. His face softened when he realized that.

"'Great, you should go back too, it's too dangerous for you who doesn't have magic and swordsmanship."

Yes, that was also my intention.

I glanced at the bandits who were already crouching and bowing down surrounded by the knights.

Our journey seemed to be delayed until these bandit bastards were arrested. I looked lazily at the bandit army and returned to my carriage.

"Ben, prepare some snacks and tea... it looks like this will take some time."

"Yes, young master Myru."

When I returned, the twins were arguing with a small voice at the carriage door, they still seemed to be playing around as usual. Speaking of which, the person who had her clothes stolen just now wasn't dead at all, she was just injured and was currently resting while having her wounds treated.

"Sister, wait!" whispered Roni loudly. I fixed my eyes on Soni who was currently running towards Romi who was approaching the cliff area.

Brats, don't they know that this is a dangerous place?

Somi then disappeared into the rocky area near the cliff, although there was still a distance and a cliff, this place was not suitable for children's play area. It seemed that the people in charge of this area should make a barrier to avoid unpleasant incidents such as falls to the ground.

"Somi... "

I grabbed the shoulder of Roni who was now staring at me in shock as if he had just been caught red-handed.

"Don't play here-" I warned. There was a twinge of pain and I instinctively jumped back.

A knife was lying next to me. Despite dodging, the small knife managed to cut the area of my cheek, making blood fall from it. fortunately, Roni was fine, he did fall because I pulled him but he didn't suffer any injuries at all.

At that bali, Myru was finally able to see her sister Somi who was struggling to be released, her toy sword moving freely in the air not hitting the bandit's body because her hand was still short.

"You ugly bastard! Let me go! Don't hurt brother Myru and Roni!"

She shouted.

It wasn't the language a girl should speak, but yes! that guy was an asshole who dared to make a scene using a small little girl.

The bandit smiled widely.

'Khahahaha! Little girl, why did you come to me by yourself?! thanks to you I got some easy money, Khahaha!"

Some struggled again until a sharp knife came close to her neck. Making the little girl fall silent in fear.
