Theo had called the owner of the store, Mrs Caldwell, and told her about a 'little boy' who wants to buy the store. "So?" Alec asked for update after the phone call. Theo smirked "Mrs Caldwell is not interested in selling," He lifted a finger. "Unless the buyer is willing to pay something around....nine hundred million dollars" "Tell her I'll pay one billion" "What?!" Chad and his friends exclaimed.Jeremy choked on air. Mia looked like she wanted to pass out. And Theo looked like he was going to pee in his pants from shock. "One....one billion?" He stuttered."Yes. One billion," Alec confirmed. "Tell her....now!" he ordered. Theo quickly got back to Mrs Caldwell on the phone to inform her about the new price and after a few seconds of conversation, Alec asked him. "What did she say?" "Her lawyer will be here shortly" He grumbled. He studied Alec, who remained relaxed, his confident posture unwavering all through. "Chad..." Theo called his cousin aside. "Isn't this boy the

In the car, Jeremy was grinning from ear to ear as he drove, when his stomach suddenly growled. Alec looked at him with raised eye brows. "I'm hungry, man" Jeremy said, pursing his lips.Alec chuckled, suddenly remembering his own empty stomach. He took out his phone and started tapping on it. "Uhh...." Jeremy glanced at him. "What are you doing?" Alec went quiet, his face in a slight frown of concentration. "Alec?" Jeremy called questioningly. "Sorry" He apologized, still typing. "Just texted my dad, asking if he would like to have dinner with us somewhere, and..." He paused to read the message on his phone. "He said he's already had dinner...and I should have fun with my friend""Oh" Alec kept typing on the phone. "So what's the issue now?" Jeremy asked, noticing how focused Alec was. "I'm trying to make reservations for us at Starlight Restaurant." "What!?" Jeremy coughed in shock. Alec looked up. "Is there a problem?" Jeremy cleared his throat "That restaurant is real

Mr Russell had started checking his tablet, his face set in a frown of confidence. "He looks like a man about to explode from excess pompousness" Jeremy muttered to Alec, who couldn't help but laugh. Mr Russell paused to shoot them a glare before taking his eyes back to the tab. In less than five seconds, his expression began to change. He looked at Alec with a frown of confusion. "What's your name again?" "Alexander Todd." "Yeah, Alexander Todd," Jeremy supported, his eyes dancing "You found it already, right?" "No," Sam clicked his tongue scornfully "Mr Russell did not find Alec's name, and now....""I found the name" Mr Russell interrupted with a crack in his voice. "You... what?" Sam furrowed his brows "You did?" "Y...yes" He stammered"That's impossible" Sam countered, eyes wide with disbelief. Alec and Jeremy smirked in satisfaction. Mr Russell looked at Alec but he was unable to meet his eyes properly. "Your..." he cleared his throat awkwardly. "Your reservation is u

Sam was annoyed at how Alec winked back at him without fear. "Who the fuck does he think he is?" He muttered. "He is just a broke joke" Linda said with a sneer. Sam saw Alec talking to the waiter who bowed respectfully to him and scorned. "We'll have the champagne!" He said loudly to the waiter at their table, making Jeremy and Alec look up. He smirked. "And the prime rib." He added, his voice loud enough for Jeremy and Alec to hear. "What's his problem?" Jeremy asked. "Money." Alec replied instantly. Sam smirked deepened "And keep the wine flowing!" Jeremy groaned "That guy needs to shut up" "Or shut down" Alec said, then said to the waiter. "Let's start with the wine" He smiled. The waiter stood in a polite pose, waiting for Alec to order. "Red wine," Alec mentioned. He had heard a lot about red wines from the smug rich people, and now he was ready to buy one. "A fine bottle of red wine, please" Jeremy grinned. "Something rich. Full bodied, you know?" He demonstrated with

Jeremy glanced at Sam's table, then at Alec. "Okay," He said, unable to hide his smile "Tell me, bro," He picked up his cutleries, handing them like one from a wealthy home. "What are you up to?" Alec shrugged. "Just wanted to confirm some things before doing anything." Jeremy gave him a brief, pointed look. "So, what's your question?" Alec caught sight of Sam's 2005 Petrus arriving. The arrogant boy had smiled like a fool, and his girlfriend giggled, flipping her ironed hair repeatedly. The wine was poured into the glasses, and Sam held up his glass drammatically. Alec couldn't help but laugh at Sam's immaturity, then he asked Jeremy. "Wines can be an investment, right?" "Yep." Alec called the waiter and whispered something to him. Soon, Alec received a Domaine de la Romanee Conti 1985. It was served by the sommelier himself who wore white gloves. Sam saw this and choked on his wine. "What the hell?" He muttered under his breath. Alec did not bother to look at Sam's table,

Linda narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend but didn't say a word. She didn't even know what to say, all she could think about was what Sam would need a cheap wine for. Soon, the waiter arrived with the wine, and for a second, Sam's eyes lit up. "Now..." He pointed to Alec's table, his eyes now hardened again. "You're gonna send it to that table""That...table??" The waiter asked carefully. "Yes. Alec's table." Sam confirmed firmly. "Tell him it's from Sam Thomas, and tell the poor little dick over there that 'this is not over'" The waiter blinked, his feet not moving an inch. "Tell him Sam Thomas said 'this is not fucking over'," He said again with a raspier tone. "He'll understand." The waiter hesitated but eventually went to the table to deliver the wine...and the message. "From Mr. Thomas over there" The waiter said sluggishly, feeling awkward. "He said....that..." He swallowed "That this is not over" Alec arched his brows. "I see" He stared at the wine, then clicked his tong

Alec glanced back and saw the object being smashed on the wall. He frowned. It was an egg. Another one came immediately and with his quick reflexes, Alec could see the object coming. For a second, it was in a slow motion. "Damn" He quickly stepped away before it could hit him on the head. He looked at the egg now broken on the floor. "what the fuck?" He cursed in a whisper. "Good morning, trash boy" A voice greeted tauntingly. Alec looked up, and just in front of his house, standing proudly near a Rolls Royce, with eggs in hands, were Sam and his girlfriend.Alec groaned in annoyance when he saw them. "What the hell are they doing here?" He asked no one in particular. "Told you that it's not over, didn't I?" Sam shouted, smirking. "Well, I meant every word." Sam had been furious about what had happened at the restaurant last night and wasn't ready to let it slide. Today, he had a lot prepared, just to get back at the poor boy who humiliated him. Linda had dropped the eggs

Thirty five million. The money rang in Alec's head, his eyes still glued to the phone's screen. "So?" Linda toyed with her hair, an evil grin playing on her lips. "You still wanna play?" Alec did not reply. "Listen, Alec, this is a game for the wealthy ones only, but I am allowing you to be a part of it, so you should count yourself lucky" Sam added. Alec's eyes flashed to him. "A game." "Yes. A game," A leer crept up his face. "Or are you scared now? You want the game off?" "No..." Alec's eyes went back to the mansion listing, then back at Sam's over confident face. His jaw tightened. "The game is on, Sam""Good. Good" Sam's evil laughter echoed in Alec's ears. "And you should know that you're lucky I was not in the mood to beat your ass up the other time" "Yeah, tell him" Linda said in her irritating tiny voice. Alec stood straight, his eyes dead serious, "No, Sam," He said, remembering how he should be careful with his new found powers. "You are lucky I don't wanna beat yo

In the tensed room, Mr Cole was lowkey wishing the drama would not end, but now that it had been paused, he had to hide his disappointment."Mr. Thomas" He called firmly. "Are you sure you want the seller to decide n—""Yes" Sam snapped. He narrowed his eyes at Alec. "He can't afford the mansion. He can't definitely pay a hundred and eighty million dollars, he's just playing a prank" He muttered to himself, and slowly, a smile bent his lips. "Ha. A prank that will get him in trouble.""This is how you wanna play?" Sam asked loudly. "Is this how you wanna play??" Alec asked back coolly. "I play well, and I win, Alec. Have you forgotten that?" Alec sat back in the leather chair. "Then the game is still on." ****A few moments have passed, Mr Cole finally cleared his throat to speak. "Gentlemen..." His voice was loud and solid. "I have spoken to the seller of the mansion..." He paused to give the two guys a long look. "And both offers have been reviewed." Mr Cole's assistant who ha

Chad stood with arms folded across his chest like he owned the whole space, and his minions were there, standing behind him, idiotically copying his action. "Surprised to see me?" He smiled slyly. "Of course you are." "Yeah, I am" Alec responded casually. "'Cause last I checked you were thrown out a store for acting like an annoying little prick" Jeremy laughed loudly on purpose. "How dare you" Chad growled at Alec, leaning forward, his nose flaring, his hand grabbing the front of Alec's shirt. "You little piece of shit".Alec smiled at his reaction. "I was just talking about what happened, and I had thought you would disappear, but here you are, dragging my shirt like some pained asshole.""Shut up, poor brat. You know I don't stay gone for long." Some people in the restaurant saw what Chad was doing, but they chose to ignore that because it was Chad, the 'rich guy', rough handling Alec, the 'poor guy', and they didn't care about that 'poor guy'. "So, what do you want now?" Al
