THE JOURNEY (DESTINATION IN OBLIVION)

I woke up to the annoying sound of the alarm clock, i fumbled as i tried to switch it off, so i stood up reluctantly to switch off the "noise machine" as I always loved to call it. I smiled releasing the day it was, the day i finally get hospitalized, it's the day of 'death battle', the crazy fight between i and the school's biggest bully, Jake.

I used to be a nerdy teen until i heard that my dad has one of the crazy international defense master as his close friend, i did a long term video lesson with him and he gave me crazy tips, so i immediately knew who would suffer the consequences of my new learned tactics. I challenged the crazy bully few days ago and he scheduled today for the fight. I walked to the mirror and looked at my face confidently, saying to myself; 'you are the best dude, you can do this, today is the day you finally …. …. .. i heard a knock on the door and paused, i ran to the door to check who it was .'Hey Dave' Trevor greeted with a glittering smile, why are you here so early dude? I asked, concerned. ohh i just came here to have some of your mom cheesecake, my mum never makes those. Come on dude don't eat my cake, i said, feigning exasperation, 'you can't fight a fat ass bully on a full stomach you know, let me hold on the to the cheesecake for you dude Trevor explained as he finally talked his way into letting him have the cake, he sure is good with his mouth. I saw the skinny figure walk down the stairs. Maybe if he eats the cake he will start to get some fat around those bones of his.

I walked straight into the shower and freshened up, put on my clothes and walked downstairs. I met Trevor on the dining seat gluttoning up the cake. as i turned, i met my mom in the kitchen cleaning up so I greeted her,' morning mom', morning son, go have some of the cheese cake. She replied. Thanks mom, i said, walking closer to Trevor who has his mouth filled with cake, he took the knife and cut me a share so i gobbled it up. Trevor kept the remaining for lunch, 'mom, don't forget to prepare my hospital bills' I told her as I approached the door, and make sure you don't die son, she replied. She never really knew that I was going to end up in a fight or something but she has the same sarcastic energy unlike my dad. Well, that the Wale family, we sure do have a lot of differences but there's this never ending love that we all share.

Trevor was already salivating when i saw him, he totally had his eyes fixed on an ice cream truck down the street, 'snap out of it dude' i said, taping his forehead. Thanks man, he replied. When will you stop looking like a skeleton?, i said, taunting Trevor as usual, you eat about twice as much as i do and you are this skinny, i mocked him once again. I only stop these kind of jokes when I notice it has started to get offensive. Trevor has been my childhood friend and he has always been there for me. Well, maybe he has been there behind my back, cause my guy doesn't even have a shred of courage in him, he once peed his pants in grade 2 on a freaking zoo trip we went to. We are about the same height but he is way skinnier and blonde he is quite intelligent too but still behind my back as always. 'I can't study alone, we have to study together' he always said.

We arrived at school and it seems the teachers were in a meeting, this means the fight might start earlier than scheduled. I walked with all my senses alert and scurried through the path ways while wearing my hoodie. The fight starting early might increase my chance of losing because i have a crazy plan and it needs a few arrangements. Unexpectedly, I felt a strong grip around my neck, 'Hey freak', the teachers are in a meeting. Why don't we fight right now uh, you think you are … … … …. . Jake kept snarling and ranting all over while I thought of how to execute my plans quickly, one thing about bullies is that they talk too much. Hey, i said interrupting his basking session. Immediately he looked at me, i hit my bag on his face and ran as much as I could, i ran into the janitor's closet and took some equipments, ran into a lobby brought out some equipments as well as the hammer in my bag so I laid then on the floor and held a baseball bat while waiting for the crowd to figure out where I was, few moments later the crowd trooped in with Jake and they started to hail him, he has started to bleed, seems the hammer in my bag hit him too hard. Uncle Lance's logic seems to be working. The plethora of equipments on the floor seems to be intimidating him. He cleaned his face and snarled, he said some thrash but i shrugged it off, patiently waiting for the perfect moment. He ran towards me with his fist clenched and i used the basebat to hit his leg hard, I grabbed a rope on the floor, jerked him off his feet, took his phone and headed to the rooftop. The crowd trooped and followed me to the rooftop, i quickly tied the rope to his phone and also to a part of the building. Immediately he entered, searching around for me, I waved at him and threatened him not to get closer or i will drop his phone down, he failed to listen so i dropped his phone down. 'oh look', Jake's phone is dangling at the third floor, someone said, this prompted him to run down the stairs to grab his phone but immediately he tried to grab it through the window, I dumped a bucket of paint on his head. Everyone ran down to make jest of him, someone even called him a clown and everyone erupted into laughter once more, he had offended many people so it was natural to receive that kind of reaction, some people have been waiting for this kind of moment all their lives. 'You don't need violence to win a battle' I said while I joined the laughter. I landed a hard clenched fist on his face and he blacked out, who knew I could unleash that much power.

Detention!! The principal yelled on top of his voice, he had heard about the fight and he had sworn to give us a long term detention, damn!! I hate detention, I thought, feeling quite dejected. Jake and i exchanged glances as we walked out of the principal's office, any idiot could figure out he's planning for a revenge.

I walked down the stairs and met Trevor, he seemed to have been looking for me everywhere. 'whatsup champ' he greeted, detention dude, the principal gave us detention, i replied sullenly, don't worry warrior, let's go home, Trev suggested. One day instead of fighting a bully you will help save the world, he said and i smiled, knowing well that he was only trying to make me happy. I followed Trevor to his house and greeted his family so i headed to my house alone. Along the way, I saw Jake in a red luxurious car, so I hid myself beside a building to take a good look at what he has to do with such car, few moments later, a person i recognized vividly, came around. what business does am ordinary school bully like Jake want with an internationally wanted criminal like Dimi crime lord. i wanted to call the cops but my intuit told me to wait and see what would transpire between them. few moments later they tossed a metal ball out the window and zoomed the car off, I went to take the metal ball, it's my first item of investigation of what could be transpiring between them.

The sky roared and threatened for a heavy down fall so i quickly headed home, after a while, a great thunder struck and it almost hit me, I was scared 😨 and my heart began to pound as i tossed myself across the street to seek shelter. Suddenly, I felt a strange feeling of vibration in my pocket, the heavy metal ball seemed to react with the thunderstorm, is it going to explode!!? I asked myself as I began to freak-out.
